Yippee! When I worked in Ards, I would pass Kiltonga every morning at around 8:30, and the place would be crazy busy already. Mainly people walking dogs, joggers, and other mad, er, I mean, extremely enthusiastic people getting out and about. In fact, every time you pass by, Kiltonga is hiving. The main attraction is really the duck pond, and when I was younger, we used to always pop down and donate the poor, underfed birdies our stale loaf of bread. I bet they loved us. Kiltonga is a lovely place to get away from it all, and with Scrabo Tower in the background, it is a really pretty little place for a dander. And I mean dander. The pirate theme works well with various features kicking in as you move round. Water gets sprayed about and pirates talk to you which kids love. There are two courses to play which are both different and each of them have their own signature holes. The last hole of each courses give you the opportunity to win a free round by skilfully hitting the ball into a centre hole. All in all a good way to spend an hour in the sunshine. I would recommend this across the board whether taking to kids, for a date or even with a group of friends there is sure to be some craic.

There are two entrances to Legg Park, one along the main Belfast Road, just up from the Model Primary School, and another entrance facing the Windrose. The park is fully fenced off and really well equipped with soft flooring, swings, slides and climbing frames. The park is also really nicely landscaped with lots of benches making it pleasant to sit around on a sunny day.

It's quirky and not your average night with friends (if they are still your friends after). The first challenge is to find this place. With no signposts we spent a long time driving around the industrial estate until we saw a car drive up to what looked like a locked gate and watched it magically open up. We had read reviews so luckily left lots of time to find this venue (I recommend reading these on the site). So what is this you ask? If I told you then you wouldn't need to go anymore. Basically you are locked in a room with a key pad and you have to work out the code to get out. There are clues hidden all around the room and if pieced together you will get out (and get your money back!). At first you have no idea where to start but then as the clues build up the intensity increases. This is somewhere you can only go once but there are talks of opening a second room with a different 'Theme' and I will definitely be first in line to go. Such good fun and suddenly you feel you should be on CSI with your new found detective skills. Just make sure your friendships are firm before you start shouting at everyone for being stupid. Ps. The Antrim Forum offers a good range of leisure activities ranging from a large swimming pool, ten…read morepin bowling, football, running, squash, a gym, a spa and even a soft play centre at the back for children. It has been part of the Antrim skyline for as long as I can remember and it wouldn't really be he same without it. It is a rather ugly plastic building but the facilities it offers is excellent. For some reason, there are security gates at the entrance. The receptionists do open them if you want to use the public toilets but otherwise you will have to insert the card given to you for your session to open them. It is about a ten minute walk from the Masserene Golf Club, five minutes from Clotworthy and fifteen minutes from the Lough Shore via Deerpark Bridge. The close proximity to Antrim's main leisure and tourist destinations is good. I can't really find anything wrong with it - the only thing is that the bowling alley is quite small so everyone goes to the big one at Dundonald Ice Bowl if they want a serious game of bowling.

There are also swimming lessons for babys through the week that mums or dads or grandparents can take their child too to help them learn to swim get used to the water and mix with other children in the pool. Antrim forum also has lots of other activities to take part in and all reasonably priced and it is much larger than you might expect from a relitivly small town leisure centre. There is also a soft play area which is ideal to take little ones too they love it and burn off lots of energy. Also easy to get to by bus or walking or car.
