Today I got a letter from a collection agency and when I told her the story, she said, " call your attorney" this is not good and that they would put a hold on the collection until I pursued legal action . Dr. Prevost is honest, caring and of the highest moral character not to mention a great dentist. He's the first dentist that I've ever known that when I needed a crown went over the various options, advantages and disadvantages of the different types as well as costs. Whether it's dentistry or medicine or vision these practitioners are not miracle workers, nor is a given diagnosis and treatment an exact science. But rest assured Dr. Prevost is thorough, experienced and sincerely cares about the health and welfare of his patients. My biggest concern is the day he retires. Nothing against other dentists, but he is the best and I have bragged about him anytime dentists have come up in a conversation. I highly, highly recommend him. Out of 5 stars he's gets a 5 only because 10 stars is not an option. And his office staff is friendly, professional and cares about helping however they can. Dr. Prevost placed a partial crown of the wrong color on my tooth. He did not verify if the crown…read morefrom the lab matched the shade sample that he selected during my initial appointment. I was not aware of that and, only after he completed the restoration I saw the crown shade significantly mismatched my tooth color. I immediately informed him about it. He brought my shade sample, and we saw the crown did not match my shade sample. He admitted his mistake, and - to correct the color - he suggested replacing the crown with a full crown. That would require removing more of my tooth structure and shortening my tooth's life. I wanted the most conservative restoration, and, therefore, I declined such a solution for correcting the wrong color. After I asked him for a refund for the color mismatch, he called my request unreasonable and changed the story. He said the color mismatch was caused by my natural teeth color. He added that it cannot be seen since it is a side tooth. However, it is visible. I did not receive what I paid for. He added that he spent too much time on my appointments. It seemed he was more interested in sharing the appointment time between multiple patients than ensuring he delivered the exact product he was paid for. In addition to my 1st root canal I required a front tooth crown, Dr. Patel provided detail assistance once again utilizing x-rays to ensure I understood the final results of my crown & provided referral accordingly to address any gum tissue cosmetic concerns. We (stupidly) decided on Aspen Dental for her routine cleaning/ checkup. She had always had perfect teeth, but one tooth was feeling a little sensitive and was being monitored by her dentist in Florida for a few years. We were shocked when Aspen Dental told her she had 8 teeth with surface decay and beginning stages of gingivitis! She would need special cleanings and would need 8 fillings!!! We had no reason to question them. It was a summer of pain and misery for her. The first dentist was young. He messed up every single filling! They all had to be redone by a more experienced dentist. The staff was incredibly unprofessional, gossiping about each other while working on her, and continually downplaying her pain. One tooth with "surface decay" ended up, with the pathetic excuse for a dentist, hollowing out that tooth, and leaving it that way. We had to go back, multiple times, and have a more experienced dentist redo all of her fillings- )She used to like going to the dentist until her traumatic experiences in the Aspen Dental West Knoxville location. Today, she finally worked up the courage to see a dentist in Cleveland Ohio. Her fillings on the two teeth have never been right. When she would floss, the floss would break, because the fillings were so rough between those two teeth. Her new hygienist, in Cleveland Ohio, was surprised at the poor work on the fillings. Now, she needs a root canal on the teeth that, supposedly, had "surface decay." I'm about to say something that sounds crazy. Prior to this, she never had a single cavity. When she went to Aspen Dental, she only had one tooth that had discomfort, and may have had a cavity. We were shocked when Aspen dental told us she had 8 cavities. We, now, strongly suspect they lied. We believe they drilled into healthy teeth for money. We believe Aspen Dental lied about the amount of work she needed done and drilled healthy teeth.
