Their hot chocolate is rich and creamy :) I took a praline seminar there as well and was impressed with how much I learned in just one session. Each person made 3 dozen pralines (to take home) and information about tempering chocolates, filling the praline shells, and decorating the finished products was provided. Copies of the recipes were distributed as well so participants could continue at home.

He of course gave us samples as well. The mark of a true owner of a store is the kindness they show their customers. So difficult to choose the best part of this place. But the dark chocolate sea salt square? I have been rationing it since I returned. I'm now on my last piece. Time for a trip back.

Macarons are displayed in the counter along side the chocolates, because they are not very big (about the size of a Canadian toonie), I was happy to try to a few. The shells are just about perfect in texture and density; the fillings a tad too sweet for me but nonetheless really really good macarons. The handsome dark-wood shelves along the walls and windows showcase many packaged chocolates, candies, teas, and other goodies. Highly recommended!

I requested an assortment of 6 dark chocolates and let the gentleman behind the counter do the choosing for me (there was a bit of a language barrier). The truffles are on the larger size and each flavor was a unique treat. I especially enjoyed the raspberry cheesecake and the chocolate mousse. I am back in the US now and wishing that I had purchased more of them as I just finished my last one.
