I felt like I should add another 5-star review for another great experience with Stephanie. Two…read moreyears ago, she helped us figure out breastfeeding with our first daughter. We recently had another beautiful girl, and Stephanie was the first one we called when we hit a breastfeeding bump. This time around, we thought we had the hang of breastfeeding, and in a lot of ways, we were more comfortable. But our newest little angel had a shallow latch that was causing some real pain for my wife. We knew Stephanie would have the answers, and sure enough, she came through for us. Stephanie reminded us of a few techniques we'd forgotten, and just like magic, our daughter's latch improved, and breastfeeding is far more comfortable. This second visit also reminded me why Stephanie is so worth a visit, because she can save families literally thousands of dollars by helping mothers use the right techniques with their little ones. I remember with our first daughter, doctors recommending supplementing with formula, pumping when it was unnecessary, and this time around, someone recommending we look into tongue tie surgery for our daughter's shallow latch. We could have gone down these roads, and honestly, these might be needed in some cases and there's nothing wrong with that. But a visit from Stephanie was all we needed to get on a roll with another beautiful breastfeeding journey for my wife and our daughter. Thank you so much Stephanie!

Stephanie is a lifesaver! My husband and I did a virtual lactation consultation with her before my…read moredelivery, around 34 weeks. All I can say is that Stephanie's expertise and guidance truly set me up for success when I delivered and breastfed for the first time. After our session, I knew the basic ways to hold my baby cross body - tummy to tummy - and in football hold, how to position my nipples for an optimal latch, how to keep my baby awake while she was feeding, how to unlatch properly, how to burp the baby and overall just have the confidence I needed to breastfeed as a first time mom. Lots of friends warned me about cracked and bloody nipples and how they couldn't wear bras or clothes for weeks because they were in so much pain. Stephanie's guidance spared me from the bloody, cracked nipples!! Sure, I was sore from the newness of it all but I was able to wear bras and clothes from day 1 and this is because Stephanie was able to teach me all the right ways to position myself (my posture), my nipples/areoles, and my baby's latch. When baby wasn't latched right and it was painful, I knew how to safely fishhook my baby's mouth open to start over. Breastfeeding is a really daunting, scary thing to do for first time moms but Stephanie really takes a humble approach to address your concerns, she shares information with you slowly and also provides great demonstrations so you can really get the hang of it. Another perk about choosing Stephanie as your lactation consultant is that she is available to you after hours if you're having trouble or if you have questions and need advice. She was always available via text and FaceTime, which was such a relief to know that I could have extra help when needed. I felt so comfortable with Stephanie the entire time and I will 100% recommend her to any of my friends who are going to have a baby. Stephanie's services are worth every penny! 5 stars! After I delivered and started breastfeeding, the doctors, nurses and lactation consultants who were rounding would all compliment how comfortable and natural breastfeeding was for me and my baby. If multiple professionals are complimenting you, you know you did something right! And I know that my success with breastfeeding is because of Stephanie! Thank you Stephanie!!

Our daughter was below birth weight at 4 weeks and continued to have slow growth and our pediatrician was threatening hospitalization due to failure to thrive when we decided to get her checked for ties. Once Dr. Dewbre diagnosed her ties, he strongly recommended we meet with Sarah. She assessed our daughter's ties and observed me breastfeed her and gave incredibly helpful tips for not only breastfeeding, but for bottle feeding as well. She recommended best bottle brands for breastfed babies. She gave us body work exercises to perform on our daughter to help loosen her body tension caused by the ties which were very helpful as she was favoring turning her head to one side and had a curve in her spine. She also made sure I had correct size flanges for all of my pumps! (I brought 3) and helped me order some different flanges online that were in the right size. We traveled 3 hours there and back to see her and she was 100% WORTH THE DRIVE. I regret not seeing her sooner. Sarah was so sweet and knowledgeable. You can tell she truly cares about mamas and is passionate about what she does. My 1 visit with her was seriously priceless. I ended up following up with other local LC's in the Dallas following our daughter's tongue/tie revision and neither were even as close to as helpful as my one session with Sarah. The amount of patient education she gives after her visits is rare and invaluable. I very quickly learned not all lactation consultants are created equal- many are not well educated on ties, pumping tips, and bottle feeding. I meant to write this review months ago but life got so busy! My daughter is now 9 months old and thriving. Went from 15th percentile in weight back to the 92nd percentile. I cannot sing enough praises for Sarah. I still think back on how different our journey would have been had we not met. She is THE BEST!! You will not regret seeing her!

The continuous appointment making has you coming weekly or bi weekly. ***I have an oversupply maybe if you have a normal or suspected low supply they'll be more helpful to you? **** I feel as though I'm worse off from coming here. My baby is really showing symptoms of my oversupply now which is really upsetting for me because she wasn't prior to listening to what I was told to do here. It's a nice office / long visits so you're not really rushed- (although I will say my baby did not feed like she typically does so that led the LC to say she's not eating enough YET she's gaining weight like a horse and is in the 95 percentile) you do weighed feeds but the advice / information given with reoccurring problems is the same - no alternatives really offered. I'm at the point where I'm going to buy cabbage to try to dry up some of my supply that way. In the breastfeeding world the advice is really conflicting with who you ask - some will say do not pump ever with an oversupply here I was told to which I think has made it worse .... All that to say try it out for yourself it just sadly didn't work for me the way I had hoped. Had my review taken down the first time.
