I drive by this place all the time and finally made it inside! I track macro information for my…read morefitness/health goals but didn't have time to cook and wanted to find a quick dinner solution. I popped into this store and they had so many great options! Blair was working and answered all of my questions- she was great! All of the food is natural and they provide plenty of dairy-free/gluten-free options if you need that! I picked up the Turkey Meatloaf (although I really had a hard time deciding) between 4 of them. I heated this up in the microwave as soon as I got home and it was so delicious! Much better than the Turkey meatloaf from SnapKitchen which I had tried before. Everything in the container (Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, and meatloaf) were really bold in flavor and didn't make you feel like you were sacrificing flavor for it being healthy. For 308 calories in a dinner that is filling- you really can't go wrong! Since trying the first one, I also tried the Sirloin Beef and Broccoli (355 calories) which had a bit of heat (spiciness) to it but otherwise the flavor was just YUM. Another winning meal! I also grabbed the hummus and an olipop for snacking on later which were also great! Love this little shop and will definitely be back!

The word "Smoothies" kept popping up on an electronic sign outside a shopping center I pass…read morefrequently. On hot days, I would stare into the shopping center, trying to locate the store that promised to deliver fruity, healthy goodness. There was pizza, Indian food, and an assortment of boring service shops, but no smoothie store. Finally, I pulled in one day and slowly drove around the complex. I found a narrow shop with the simple word, "Nutrition" above the door. Was this the place? I sure hoped so. Upon entering, I found a comfortable atmosphere, complete with a leather sofa and some tables, along with a bar area. The owner, Michael, welcomed me in and I located a menu with more than 20 protein shake flavors. I was in the mood for a cold, refreshing pick-me-up, but with 20 grams of protein in one shake, I quickly realized this could be dinner. Michael told me one of his favorite flavors was raspberry cheesecake, which is what I ordered. With options on the menu ranging from Almond Joy to Butter Pecan and Aloha Delight, you are sure to find a flavor that suites your taste. They also offer herbal green tea, healthy snack bars and protein shake mixes. The shake I had was good, delivering plenty of healthy benefits along with an understated, yet rich, flavor. Michael told me that his store isn't necessarily a smoothie bar, but more of a nutrition club where athletes and people looking to lose a few pounds can come for a protein shake and some heart-to-heart with a fitness specialist. Shake It Up has plenty of customers that come in during breakfast and lunch, as well as a sizeable after work crowd. With such little signage, I was surprised that anyone had found this little joint, but Michael told me that most of his customers come via word-of-mouth. He works in his shop as a personal trainer and helps people tone up and lose extra pounds. Usually, they refer friends and stop by for meal replacement shakes. If you are interested in a personal training session, they begin at $40 and go up from there. Michael was exceedingly friendly and willing to chat about my personal health goals. If you are looking to grab a healthy lunch snack, swing by Shake It Up. What's more, you might gain some pointers about how to live better and even find a way to squeeze in some work-out sessions with someone qualified and passionate.

I looked through the menu but they whipped up something just for me! They also told me about fitness camps they had and coaches. Although my the type of fitness that I do is far different than what was being offered (Olympic weightlifting) I was very pleased that they took time to explain options available to me to keep me on track with my fitness journey.

She had never personally used the service, but after moving from New York to El Paso for work, I was willing to give it a try. Moving to a new place while trying to balance work, health, and everything else has been challenging. I was dealing with frequent headaches and migraines, and being in the military, sometimes you have to wait a week or more just to be seen and then be told that everything is fine. At one point, I even had to go to the ER because of a migraine. I was also struggling emotionally, and although I tried therapy, it didn't work for me the way I hoped. I felt like I was at a point where I had to choose between my health and my career. I want to say that this is not a sponsored post. I'm sharing my experience because I decided to give acupuncture a try, and I'm glad I did. Yes, it costs money, but I truly believe that your health is priceless. Adrianna has helped me so much. I still have some triggers and difficult days, but I've had much better weeks since starting treatment. I'm grateful I decided to give it a chance. Thank you, Adrianna, for helping me feel better and for being part of my healing journey.
