The Wiederkehr business by the interstate is a large liquor store- with a wide variety of liquor, beer and wine. We used the restrooms. Then headed less than 5 miles the other direction across the interstate to the restaurant, wine cellar and gift shop. It has a separate Yelp listing 'Weiderkehr Wine Cellar and Weinkeller Restaurant'. The address is 3324 Swiss Family Dr, Wiederkehr Village, AR 72821. Highly recommend visiting all the spots on this exit. This is the stuff road trips are made for!

WOW is right... That…read morewas the first thought that came to my mind when I walked in to this megastore. It's more than a liquor store; it's like a liquor warehouse. Or at least a liquor depot. On a desolate, dry road that meanders through alcohol-less counties for miles and miles, this is an oasis- a sight for sapless eyes. This is the first spot where one can purchase alcohol, heading north from Russellville, nearly 100 miles. It's probably for the best though, as no one should be drinking and driving whilst going through the winding, scenic 7 byway through the Ozarks. The selection here is vast, and the prices are low. My barometer is always the 1.75ml of Seagrams 7- here it was $20.95, which is about as cheap as it gets. They have selections from the "toppest shelf" liquor, down to the bottom. And countless beer reach-ins, with a healthy selection of micros and local brews. If I lived in the vicinity, this would definitely be my go-to spot.
