From stretching, to twisting, to your body being slightly contorted around. After just an hour of massage, my body felt so loose and relaxed. I'm a late sleeper but within an hour or so of arriving home i couldn't help but call it a night. I slept like a baby and woke up feeling rejuvenated and my body completely free of the soreness I was previously experiencing. If you're in the Morato area and having trouble deciding where to get a massage (there's a lot of places in this area) I definitely recommend you give Nuat Thai a try. Most of the time, the worst of the noise comes from the staff members themselves - you can hear them laughing loudly or talking to each other. The branch along Makati Ave is quieter, although a tiny bit more expensive. If all you want is a quick and cheap massage, then Nuat Thai will do. They communicate well and make sure the pressure is to your specification and preference. Pilgrim also has a very family-friendly atmosphere and would be ideal for some family bonding through relaxation. The best part is that the prices for the services are very reasonable. It is located inside a the SM North Mall in EDSA Quezon I wanted to get a body and foot massage. They had a 2hr massage for 700 pesos or approximately $13.70. Not a bad deal for a 2hr massage. It's too bad the massage therapist wasn't very good. The therapist was a guy and he didn't do a through job like some of the other masseuses. What I paid for was 1hr body massage & a 1hr foot massage. I'm sorry to say neither one was very good. Once you get a great foot/leg masseuse you will know the difference. The one that is ingrained in my mind is the foot massage I received in Vietnam about 7 or 8 years ago. This masseuse worked my entire foot & leg massaging the arch & heel part of my foot, in between each toe, massaging & rotating my ankles, bending the foot back, working the calf & shin muscles, then up to my hamstring & thigh muscles. When he was finished I felt like I was at least 20 years younger. When he was finished I had a bounce in my step & was so totally relaxed & invigorated. I'm sorry to say I didn't receive this quality of massage @ Visma. He did an adequate job, but nothing to match the standards of the quality massage that I have receive before. He didn't even work my thighs & hamstrings until I mentioned something. A good masseuse can feel the kinks & knots in your body & work on them until they are gone. This masseuse hit some of these knots, but didn't work through them very well. I wasn't too crazy about the technique he used. Instead of massaging the muscles he applied pressure that was sometimes painful & not providing the relief needed. I'm going to find another masseuse before I leave the Philippines & return to Chicago.
