He marked my business revenue as over $1 million when my business only made around 200,000 that year and I was forced to pay an astronomical amount of taxes which I needed to hire a new CPA to fix in the following years not only this I did not decide to continue with his services and he did not contact me for two years then randomly one day he decided to send me a bill of over $14,000 claiming that for the past two Years he had been reconciling my books keep in mind there was zero communication between the two of us for over two years and then randomly out of nowhere he sends me an invoice for $14,000 and threatened to sue me. If I do not pay, I refuse to pay since there were no services provided and now he decided to file a claim in small claims court, but is only suing me for $6000 I offered to reimburse him for a QuickBooks subscription that he had on my behalf but he did not accept and is asking me to pay him over $500 per month for reconciliation services on a bank account that has zero transactions monthly. Please avoid this CPA at all cost. There are much better options in the Bay Area.

Many clients rave about her professionalism, thoroughness, and reliability over the years. Sadly, my experience was the complete opposite and one of the most frustrating and costly I've ever had with a tax professional. We hired her specifically because of those glowing reviews, but she completely ghosted us throughout the entire process. We sent all requested documents promptly and followed up repeatedly via email, often with no response for weeks. When she did finally reply, it was only with excuse after excuse: she was out of the country, then claimed she never received our documents (despite our delivery confirmations), followed by more vague delays and no progress. She explicitly promised to provide regular updates during the process so we would know where things stood. She never once followed through on that promise. As a result, she did not complete any of the agreed upon work, our tax return was never filed on time, and we were hit with extra IRS penalties and interest that we could have easily avoided with a reliable preparer. Worse, I've seen a troubling pattern in some of her other reviews: when clients raise similar issues about poor communication, delays, or unfinished work, her responses show a clear pattern of lying, downplaying legitimate complaints, making excuses, or outright denying problems instead of owning up to them. Do not trust Sarada Majumder with your taxes or accounting. What appears to be a highly recommended professional based on online reviews can turn into a nightmare of unresponsiveness, broken promises, and financial consequences. I was told when I came in to pay $350 up front which they never told me that was just a deposit. To my knowledge it was to perform the work. All the work. And she also had said she could do it in a few days (3). Ok so I paid and I put my credit card down for them to keep. Big mistake. Never leave your card for a vendor to keep! After the 4th day I was wondering what was the hold up. They needed two more ein that Melissa never emailed on. I had to reach out and she finally responded after a day. Then she preceded to tell me since she just gotten the new ein number it would take another 5 business days! After two weeks I was asking when they will be done. I know they were slammed and trying to buy time or charge me for that time. I was right when they finally called that they were ready after 2.5 weeks they said my invoice was $1900!! They processed twenty-eight 1099s for me. I was flabbergasted. I said to the front lady Patty which I am sure she is use to swindling people for the Chan's that I was not told it would be more. She said oh yes sweetie we charge by the hour. When the invoice finally came in there were no hours listed!! It was just a straight preparing and rechecking etc all for $1900. I said I'm not paying. I ended up doing my own 1099 through a phone call with Intuit. How long did it take me less than 2 hours! And I'm a novice with QuickBooks. If I can figure it out anyone can.
