NU2U, Laramie -- On October 24 at 4:30 pm, I stopped in on my way to the airport. Downstairs in the bargain basement (where everything is discounted), I found a lightweight Columbia jacket and upstairs a pair of jeans. The jacket had a pink clearance tag like the other 50%-off items, and the tag matched the jacket (brand/color/size) with a printed price of $33--see my photo for reference. It was also dirty with spots on the shoulder I am hoping will come out. At checkout, the clerk said the tag was "wrong," took the jacket away, and I waited about 13 minutes at the register alone while a long line formed. When he returned, he said the jacket was now $40, but he'd honor 50% off the new price--which came to $20 instead of $16.50 (50% of $33), an extra $3.50. This last-minute price change felt confusing--especially since it was on the clearance floor and the tag details matched the item. What would have helped: * Honor clearly tagged clearance pricing (or post a clear exception policy). * If a tag needs verifying, ring up the other people with another checker so the line isn't held up. * Post the basement discount policy near the rack so expectations are clear. A great place to shop! Lots of unique finds. They can be a little on the pricey side, but if you like vintage, this shop won't disappoint.

Mainly outdoor and sports gear. Lots of hunting jackets for cold and mild temperatures. Lots of bicycles/helmets. Tons of water bottles and backpacks. Probably a good store to get items for college or when you're going on a hike. There are some big kid clothes, but mainly adults. There were also a few kayaks, tennis rackets, and some swim stuff. read more

We stopped in here while dropping our daughter off at UWyo....cute store filled with tons of stuff. One whole rack of Spirit gear for the university. Multiple levels and racks and racks of clothes, shoes and accessories. Will definitely be back when we are in Laramie next read more

This is a great thrift store! NU2U has a large selection of cheap, nice clothes for men and women. Their clothing ranges from funky to modern. They have a wide variety of name brands as well. They have the biggest and cutest selection of winter coats and shoes for women that I have ever seen, with prices ranging from $4-$15 (most around $8). They have their sizes and clothing types arranged nicely too, some thrift stores seem to be all over and unorganized. There were some nice coffee tables, dinner sets, purses, jewelry,and other unique knick knacks. I would primarily go there for clothes though. read more

I would not be clothed were it not for NU2U - absolutely love thrifting here AND also love that they do consignment - plenty of times I've entered the shop to discover that my day's desires can be paid for with my recent earnings (consignment clothes/items receive 50% of ticketed value). Great place, friendly and fun staff, definitely the way to do shopping in Laramie (since all those college students go out and buy cuteness in Ft.Collins or elsewhere and then leave it behind, there's a fairly decent variety of brands/styles). 90% of my wardrobe comes from Nu2u, I live in Fort Collins and drive up to Laramie at least 3 times a year to freshen my wardrobe. Nu2u is especially good for high quality winter gear, and hiking shoes. It is almost like if someone took only the good stuff out of a Goodwill store, and yet I swear...its cheaper. If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would. This place is awful. Clothes are very well used with stains, rips and snags. All in horrible shape. They buy a lot of their stuff at garage sales and then market up 300%. They also have a stupid 5-day return window past that you're stuck with it. Sorry, but as a busy mom I do my shopping one day a week and so that's 6 days after the day I shop which gives me no time to return it. They were unwilling to budge or work with me. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT QUALITY USED CLOTHING AND SHOES!!! read more

GREAT thrifting! They have both a clothing store and a separate gear store. The clothing store is a funky place where you'll find everything from weird costumes to high end designer digs (on the cheap). The gear store is awesome if you want to adventure but don't have a lot of money. And BONUS they both consign your old clothing and gear which means you can make some money back! NU2U is a treasure trove of clothes and oddities that are wonderful for somebody trying to look nice on a budget. Every time I've shopped there, the staff were friendly. A little disorganized, but honestly better than the majority of Ross stores I have visited. Also some disorganization is expected with places like these; how else are you going to find "treasures"?
