He was professional, described the work in detail, and answered all my questions. I needed to have a cupola removed from the garage roof so I could paint it, and he offered to remove and reinstall it for no additional charge. The house washing was thorough and the siding looks great now. They also blew debris off the roof and gutters, and washed all the windows. I was impressed with the quality of work and will hire Horizon again for future projects.

I called him and inquired about his services and informed him of the size of my yard and he said it wasn't worth his time to even consider doing it. He had excellent reviews which I was I chose him but now I'm wondering if all the positive reviews are real or not.

The next week we learned that not only was the water in our well contaminated, the well was dug on our neighbor's property. Once again it was left up to us to work out the legalities of purchasing some land from our neighbor. Costs related to tree removal were over double what we were quoted. Costs related to a retaining wall were also more than double what we were quoted. Although several of the trades people involved in our build were terrific, based on our experience, we could not recommend building a home with this company

Carpenter was rude in my own home! Messes were left. Workers walked out unexpectedly, without warning or calling management. Seemed like they did not like working on older homes. Insulation was removed and never replaced, saying "we're not insulators". Prices were not disclosed, saying it would increase cost to do so. Was sold special-order storm doors without my knowledge, so I couldn't get a refund! Months after final payment I discovered outlets wired to the wrong circuit breaker box and had to call them back for re-work. On the good side, they rightly stood up to building inspector to widen doorway. Overall, most work was well done, even if it was deeply frustrating with little accounting given for expenses. FYI: Don't let them talk their way out of providing references of work on comparable properties first..

I hired this company to install a fireplace, and from start to finish, it was a frustrating experience. Once I paid the down payment, the company's attitude completely shifted. Cindy, the lady that runs the office, was rude, dismissive, and frankly, condescending. Darin, the owner, "forgot" several commitments that were made during the quoting process, leaving us with an incomplete installation. I ended up having to either finish the work myself or hire other professionals to get the job done right -- including moving electrical, rebuilding the hearth base, and even hiring a roofer to fix the improperly installed chimney collar. This entire process left me feeling misled, overcharged, and really disappointed in the quality of both the service and the professionalism. If you decide to work with this company, make sure you get every single detail in writing and double-check everything. I would not hire them again. Would not recommend.
