Nuclean Salisbury took in a very smart (Austin Reed) summer jacket for cleaning. It came back with a one-inch hole in the back, and some lining unstitched. I could not prove that the damage had happened during cleaning, but felt disappointed that they had handed the jacket back to my wife damaged, without even mentioning it! The response when I went back was that they cannot check every jacket for handed-in condition, and that I should have bought a better-quality jacket in the first place! I handed back our loyalty card, which we had paid for, and was offered no refund. "I won't lose any sleep over losing you as a customer". I had my carpets cleaned by this company and the job was not great, it was ok,but i accepted that there are some marks you just can not get out and agreed to pay,the man who cleaned the carpets called Tony was brilliant a really lovely gentleman. There was then a mix up over the payment with one of the employees telling me it had been allocated to another account!!!!! I then had some terrible family problems and forgot all about it assuming they had managed to sort out the payment issues themselves, the next thing i know is a letter coming through my door saying they had taken it to court and i owed them the court fees. (I should have checked my bank as the cheque to them had not cleared in the first instance it turns out as it had'nt been allocated to a different account it had in fact been lost!!!) I didnt immediately have the full money outstanding plus these new court charges on top so i went into the shop and paid half of the money promising to return the following week to settle in full. I explained the situation, my sister had passed away and things had been very difficult and the lady in the shop was very nice.However a few hours later the owner,Lance, then rang me screaming and shouting down the phone at me that i was a liar,that i was making it up about my sisters death!!!! and to top it all off he then said he had been to our home and taken photographs of us, (i have 4 young children so found this very disturbing) and our cars!!! I was left so distraught by this that my husband had to come home and ring him, when he then said he was just trying to scare me as he was frustrated that he had'nt got his money yet!!!!! How this man has stayed in business if this is his way astounds me, a bully who attempts to scare women, over an £85 debt that was being paid off!!!! Certainly not someone you'd want to send to your elderly mothers house to clean carpets heaven forbid she overlooked payment i dread to think what scare tactics he would employ with an elderly person!!!!!!!!!!!
