The teachers are kind, caring, and patient, the admins are helpful, and the student & parent community was amazing. The kids get such a well rounded experience there - two language classes, reading & writing, special on-site "field trips" (aquarium, petting zoo, etc.), science fair, 2 performances each year, spirit week, cultural events, and not to mention the very strong academic (and practical skills from Montessori methods) foundation they receive. It was amazing to see the progress he made there in 3 years. Like many private preschools it's pricey but in my opinion it was worth every penny.

His teachers Ms. Mirian and Ms. Raysa are miracle workers. My kid trusts them deeply and feels so well supported. At home he sings to himself in Mandarin (all kids learn Mandarin from Ms. Sophie), shows off his gym/yoga moves he learned at Webby, and shows me insanely advanced math skills like solving for x. He tells me he loves going to school and is genuinely disappointed there's no school on weekends. The administrators have been very supportive in finding the right classroom for him and providing the guidance he needs. There's so much love and care put into each kid's education. We're lucky to have them.

It's a warm, home-based environment where children are truly allowed to be children. The teachers take the time to really get to know each child, treat them as unique individuals, and nurture their curiosity. I never once worried while they were there because I knew they were cared for, safe, and surrounded by love. My boys had the freedom to explore, create, and grow through art, play, hands-on learning, and the amazing yard where they could discover and enjoy nature. Every day felt special--full of creativity, laughter, and genuine care. They had such an interesting, rich preschool life that I will always treasure. KuiHwa, the preschool director, is a one-of-a-kind teacher whose warmth, wisdom, and dedication shine through in everything she does. She made such a difference in my children's early years and gave them the most beautiful start to their educational journey. Leaving was bittersweet, because we were so sad to say goodbye to such a special place. Seedlings Great and Small gave my children not just a foundation for school, but also a love of learning and a true sense of belonging. We will always be grateful for the incredible gift this preschool has been to our family.

We had been looking for a part time preschool (also has full time) that was still reasonably priced and flexible with their hours as my daughter became more accustomed to time away from home/me. I worked from home taking care of her full time so was only looking for a preschool that helped expose her to a routine and new friends. Seedlings checked all the boxes! Also LOVE that their program is year round - only breaks for a couple of weeks in summer/winter! Kuihwa and her staff feel like family. They supported my daughter in every way possible - encouraging her creativity, play, point of view and voice. Each day was like playing in a magical fairy garden and not one moment was cookie cutter or standard. We've made lifelong friends from this school and will always sing its praises! If you're looking for a less traditional, play based program where you child gets to be outside and express themselves through creativity and play, Seedlings is it!

Not…read moreonly you want to find a place that can be like a second home, but also to be the closest thing to replacing you while you are away. You want to ensure the safety and full development of your little buddy, ideally at an affordable price. I found it exactly that at Yachawaisi. I was looking specifically for a Spanish Immersion care center and looked at every option alternative from Santa Monica to Downtown (where I work). So happy I found this place! The team is extremely professional, organized and caring. They even celebrated a go-away party for my son.  I was reassured that my son was having a good time and was always safe, with daily updates and pictures via regular postings on their private app. If you are on the fence, just go and schedule a tour and you will come out confident that you found a most nurturing place for your little one.

The Staff Ms. Monica and Ms. Nancy have both been teaching at Yachay for over 8 years. That kind of consistency speaks volumes about the school's supportive environment, low turnover, and commitment to quality care and education. 2. Curriculum and SEL The school follows a clear scope and sequence for the year and thoughtfully integrates social-emotional learning into daily routines. For example, my son received a laminated "feelings chart" connected to read-alouds during circle time. He also practices mindfulness and breathing through yoga. On top of that, they offer affordable extracurriculars such as gym and music. 3. Food My son genuinely enjoys the meals and snacks, which is a huge plus. 4. Family Events Families are invited to celebrate birthdays and attend special events like dance performances, which creates a strong sense of community. 5. Progress and Communication The school provides progress reports and report cards during parent-teacher conferences. I appreciate seeing how my son is growing, as well as knowing the areas where he can continue developing. 6. Kindergarten Readiness I feel confident my child will transition smoothly into TK/K. Yachaywasi equips students with the tools they need--fine motor skills, patience, independence, and work habits--to thrive in a larger academic setting. 7. Spanish Immersion The Spanish immersion program is another highlight, giving my son exposure to language and culture Overall, Yachaywasi has been an incredible place for my son to learn and grow, and I'm grateful for the care and expertise the teachers provide every day.

The preschool director and the teachers are incredible, they love the kids so deeply and get to know all the families so well. The kids are challenged academically and it's been incredible to see how much our 4 year old has learned. They go on fun and exciting field trips, have access to extracurriculars and have a nice rotation of activities depending on the season (water play in summer, areal class in the fall etc). The hours are great for working parents and the kids are fed very healthy and interesting foods, helping to expand their palates. Each month they focus on a different global destination and they also learn about social issues in an age-appropriate way. I can't imagine a better preschool experience for our daughter and I'm so thankful for everything she has learned in such a short period of time!

A place that follows cutting edge research and embraces a joyful and loving atmosphere and works to free kids from the drudgery most schools unthinkingly and ill advisedly embrace. Argo Navis always has its heart in the right place and does what's best for kids----even when it hurts their bottom line. They are concerned with education not schooling. Wow! As an educator for over 30 years, I can't imagine a better school for my child; simply put: she is thriving there! The small class sizes and personalized teacher attention make the school unparalleled. They know her and work to help her find her passion. My kid has always loved making little newspapers. Guess what Argo did? They helped and supported her dream and published a school newspaper that she spearheaded---all in breath-taking speed, held up only by her. LOL. I have been involved with every type of school there is and believe me, something like this would never have happened in them or if it did, it would have taken so long and by the time the slow wheels of bureaucracy got it done, the passion and interest would have long dissipated. Argo's travel and real world experiences are the icing upon the cake. Scuba diving, babysitting class, sailing, aerial, hip hop dancing, World Peace camp. YOWZA! Every day, my child is happy and excited to get to school and I am thrilled to get here there. It is priceless. Yay Argo!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with 123 Preschool for our daughter. When we…read moremoved to the neighborhood last year we were overwhelmed with options and very anxious about finding a place that would live up to my high (former preschool teacher) standards of care. The staff at 123 has exceeded our expectations every step of the way and we feel so blessed to have found them. Director Lee is like a living angel - a warm, knowledgable and very experienced woman with a giant heart for her students. She has found a way to balance Korean culture with a modern American approach to preschool, giving the kids ample time for free play and respecting them as capable, important young people. She pours her heart and soul into the school, often paying for fun events out of her own pocket to celebrate the kids. Teachers Min and Lucy (the two we've had most contact with) are equally loving, effective teachers. Our daughter feels very at home in school and trusts and loves her teachers a great deal. All the other teachers seem just as lovely as well. She has learned a TON from them, too, blossoming like a flower under their care. The school offers exposure to Korean, English and Spanish languages. Our daughter spoke very little Korean when she enrolled last spring, and now speaks a ton and comprehends even more than that. They offer ballet, gym, and Taekwondo extracurriculars during the school day for a very reasonable fee, which is super convenient and rounds out our daughter's arts and fitness experience a ton. There are field trips, and special events like their (awe-inspiring) Christmas show, birthday parties held at school (the convenience of which I cannot overstate), and various other enriching and educational events throughout the year. Tuition is a super reasonable flat fee and children can be there from morning until 6pm if necessary. They are fed home-cooked breakfast and lunch (mostly korean food, a super wide and healthy variety, and lovely presentation) and snack after naptime. The all-inclusive cost structure makes things really easy and the value is off the charts. If you/your family aren't korean, don't worry. They are extremely inclusive and welcoming to all races and cultures. It's amazing to see hispanic, black, and mixed-race kids all speaking korean and growing together. I'm white and my husband is Korean, and I've felt welcomed from the very first day. My only regret about this school is that we didn't live close by to have our daughter enroll earlier! I cannot recommend it highly enough.
