Ozamahgawwwwwwwwwwd!
My mother, bless her little heart, left me her bomb while she is off gallivanting around the world.
And her little bomb is a big bomb. In this instance anyway.
I tried to start it up after 4 days of not turning it on (don't look at me like that, I live in the inner city, it's why I don't own a car!!!) the darn thing wouldn't even turn over. Nothing. It was like the sahara in the middle of the night. No, scratch that. It's a bloody underground car park and if I could have heard crickets, this is when they would have been chirping.
Suffice to say I thought, oh mum's responsible, she'll have roadside assistance. I called at 6.40am. Yup, sure enough she did. They said in about 60 minutes. Ten minutes later I get the nifty sms telling me that it will be 50 minutes or there abouts until I'm seen to. Sure great, I go back into the apartment to wait it out.
By 7.40am I'm outside the building again wondering what the hell happened. I call back. Operator (lovely person that she is) tells me that he's sitting outside the address, ok I say, I'll see if he's at the wrong address. I walk up and down our little back street. No NRMA man.
I call again at about 7.50am. Nope, he's still there. Ok, maybe I missed him, I do my 5 minute walk up and down the street again. Nope. Nada.
I wait outside until 8am. Still no NRMA man. I call back, thankfully I get the same woman on the phone so I don't have to explain my irritation to her again. Nope, he's still waiting outside my address apparently. Um no, actually no he isn't. I suggest she might want to check with the driver at this point because obviously he's not in the right place and I've now been waiting outside for 30 minutes in the bloody cold for the non-existent NRMA dude to show up. Ie. I was not a happy camper.
She puts me on hold and calls the driver. Oh yes, haha, silly me, he was at the wrong address. He's now 2 minutes away. Really?! REAAAAAAALLLY!!!!!!
He turned up at 8.10am - I was irritated. He tried to sell me a new battery. I told him to go away. Ps. Thanks for the charge mate that took all of, oh, barely 5 minutes to do.
I know most of them do great work, but geeeeeeeez louise. When you pay for a service you don't expect to get this much of a run around. read more
