**WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY OF FAMILY AFTER CAR SERVICE** Car was serviced 6/5/2025 and charged $645 (including pink slip). They day after start-stop system error displayed as in pictures below. Returned to garage 09/5/2025 and told error due to 4 failing spark plugs (unlikely) and charged $830. (coincidentally needing replacement the day after a full service) 07/07/2025 oil Pressure (below picture) error appeared, I could not believe oil pressure could be low as just had serviced at Bondi Junction auto repairs (receipt including oil change below). when driving back from driving kids swimming lessons, car started making strange noises (FELT UNSAFE DRIVING CAR) and engine warning light came on, luckily pulled by on side of road next to autospares store. Checked oil dipstick and it was BONE dry, no oil to be felt on dipstick. Whilst kids crying in back of car we filled 2.5L of motor oil into the engine in half a litre lots. When we returned to express concerns the manager today we spoke to offered no apology or concern for what had happened after they had serviced the car. The manager spoken to today stated "you don't have proof" in a smug way. He offered to look at the car again but after a service costing $645 + $830 (return after service), I suggested they may not be the best business to be able to service or work out what was wrong with the car and I would take it to a known mechanic. (at cost to me) This business works in the automotive industry but does not even understand the basics of automotive safety and do not bat an eyelid if an issue they likely caused may results in engine failure. Asking for proof when things go wrong after a service is despicable, the onus I would have thought would be on the business to explain all the "coincidences", if they cant do that I must admit I've been taken for a ride (and not the fun kind!) SCAM SHOP! Should have listened to the reviews. Walked away feeling ripped off even after a price reduction when I confronted them about work that was carried out without my knowledge. First off a basic service was $400 which seems a bit rich and they didn't explain what was done as part of that just presented me with the paperwork (0 customer service....). A reoccurring theme throughout the reviews I read were buffing headlights and degreasing the engine and surprise surprise I was hit with both to pass my blue slip. I think they must get confronted quite often as 3 of them behind the desk when on the offense as soon as I mentioned the bad reviews.... I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but really wish I hadn't. Won't be returning to this "business" and I'd suggest you avoid them too. read more

Stay away from this place, I got scammed, I needed 2 tires changed and a break pad, I shook hands with the mechanic on a quote he gave for 700 and I asked him if this included labor, he said yes, two times. I told him that I could not pay 1 more dollar than 700 as I had to pay rent that week. When I went to pick the vehicle up to days later, he says 920 dollars, I asked him how is this possible, he says originally it was 900. He then covers the original quote he gave me with another paper, I move it and he acts surprised, then claims that he had to clean something else and that he messed up with his calculator. They continue to rip off customers on a daily basis to continue building up their excessive wealth. You sorta wonder why they still front the workshop, but then again there is no way in the world their workshop would bring in the profit it does by less conning managers. Poor service, damaged vehicle. Massive scratch in the drivers door, valve cover had been powder coated black - finish was half removed by a "degreaser" (I imagine brake cleaner for a few hours). Then told me it was not their problem and walked off. Boot lock also changed, managed to also put a massive dent and cracked paint next to the lock. I have photos of the condition prior to the vehicle being placed with them - they demonstrate the damages caused by Bondi Junction Auto. Was initially quoted $700 for a blue slip, later revised to over $2500. People are dismissive and google reviews are fake, they took 5 months to do the car and then on two days notice of completion said if you don't pickup today and payment clears, we'll charge you $36 a day in storage - 12K a year.  Absolute joke of an auto shop, have cost me more than the works completed and will now be an absolute headache sending a chargeback and submitting a claim with insurance. read more

I took my vehicle to Bondi Junction Auto Services and I would be extremely cautious about making use of their services. They wanted to perform a number of totally unnecessary services on my vehicle. I knew that my vehicle did not require what was recommended by Bondi Junction Auto Services because I had the vehicle inspected less than a week earlier. I called the mechanic out on his attempt to cheat me and then he got extremely rude about it, even screaming and swearing at me. He was very close to punching me.
