    Bedroom - bathroom shades down

Very good hotel, excellent services. There are so many mega hotels in Manila it's almost daunting. Unfortunately for me, most of these hotels have casinos: There's the Nobu Hotel City of Dreams (Yep he's into the hotel thing now too, partnered with De Niro), Hyatt, The Conrad all are casinotels. We have that in Vegas and I'm not particularly feelin' the casinotel concept in Manila. I do like smaller hotels like the Pan Pacific and now the Novotel. The Accors group, a French company owns the Novotel and a range of hotels for every budget, from the modest Hotel F1 to the midrange Novotel, Ibis, to the luxury Sofitel chain. It used to own the Red Roof Inn and Motel 6 chains but has sold those two chains. The Novotel Manila is a sensible alternative for me because it's modern, non-casino and technology friendly. American hotels are great but Euro and Asian hotels rock on whole 'nother level and are cheaper! Customer service is stellar at the Novotel as is the same in many businesses. And this hotel is so central, you can walk to the mega malls that makes the city of Manila a shopper's paradise. Not moi, I'm diggin' the food scene here more than anything. Visits: 1 Tip: One downside: The Novotel hotel although only 8 miles from MNL or NAIA airport, can take over 1 3/4 hours due to traffic to and from the airport. Plan ahead.

Our first time here and so surprise about the front desk staff. They help us with our check-in with their beautiful smile and very courteous as well. Room is very very clean. Tomorrow we have a free buffet breakfast. The price is right! That's all. Oh by the way shout out Siena the front desk reps

First stay here. Definitely will not be our last. There is a lot to like about this hotel and service is one of them. The others are being next door to the Araneta Center (Foster the People is coming soon), a grocery store across the street, 3+ shopping malls within walking distance and being close to the MRT which can take you all the way to the Taft stop (Think Mall of Asia). Our room was a premium room on the 21st floor that had a nice view of the large Christmas tree (hint - street foods down there in the evening). A privacy screen can be powered up and down while showering or using the lavatory. Your choice of using the rain showerhead or a hand held shower. The bed was comfortable and there was enough room for a roll away bed in between the king sized bed and the little lounger. WiFi worked well (tested at around 10mbit). The TV had enough channels. There was a small alarm clock and a bluetooth speaker. A lot of 220v connection options near the bed and on the desk. For an upgrade fee of 50 dollars a night, there are certain amenities to be used such as a 24th floor premier lounge with a great outdoor balcony view, a room higher up and a free breakfast buffet (2 adults and 2 children included). There are some other perks to be had also. The premier lounge on the 24th floor is amazing. Free drinks and a small buffet at your fingertips. The view outdoors is amazing on a good day (slight breeze). Here's a hint. If you want some peace and quiet and do not mind a limited buffet menu, just eat breakfast at 6:30 at the premier lounge. You can get eggs cooked to your liking and regular bacon. Security at all entrances, an attentive staff that greets you, front desk service, the pool staff with lifeguard. I recommend this place to stay. You will not find a better deal for the service, the room, the amenities and the food.

Love how they made the effort to put these sockets in!

*Note: This is 4.5 Star review…read more The last time I stayed in Go Hotels was back in 2010 at their Mandaluyong branch. At that time, I didn't like the room and the location was not convenient for me. When I saw that this branch opened in the middle of Ortigas area, I decided to give Go Hotels another chance. I must say that, compared to the Mandaluyong branch, they stepped up in terms of customer service! During the week that I reserved, it was the weekend before Christmas and there were heavy rains. I remember that I planned to check-in late because I had a meeting in the afternoon. Unlike other hotels (if you don't appear on time, they give your room away!), they called me to make sure that I was still going to avail the room and wanted to ask if I needed assistance to get to the hotel (amazing!). When I arrived at around 5PM, they had all the papers filled and even a pouch of complimentary toiletries. I signed everything, paid with my card and went straight to my room. Quick and easy! The room is spacious and comes with a LCD TV. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were the down-feather kind (so soft!). WiFi comes free with the room and it was steady the whole evening. Best of all, the bathroom is clean and well maintained. There is a no eating policy in the room which is a great idea so that no insects are attracted into the room. If you want to eat, they have a common area near the elevator where you can eat and have drinks from a vending machine. Robinsons Galleria is just a few steps away. You also are near Megamall, Podium and Shangri-la mall. Don't worry about getting food. There are many food options near the hotel. You can also walk to Sapphire Bloc for a few drinks (go there for the Happy Hour, 4-8PM). Go Hotel is a good value hotel compared to the other hotels in the area. This is not a "Five Star" hotel but if you need a no-fuss, comfortable place to stay while in Manila, this is the place to be! :)

The wifi is sub par but for the price you pay per night, I can't complain. My room had multiple issues including a clogged shower head and lack of a hair dryer (had to pay 100p per use). Would only recommend for those who are on a tight budget or only use the room for sleepinga few hrs.

They renovated and still renovating it. On our 2nd day, the ceiling was leaking, the ac not working properly, they did not moved us right away. I asked couple of times on the update until finally they moved us to a different room. The room is smelly like an old carpet that they washed and didn't get dried properly. It's smaller than our first room, but sure, not complaining about it. I wonder why there's no microwave in the room, it takes forever to asked an attendant to reheat food for you and you have to fill up a form. Also, why they don't have stairs? Elevator takes a while because everyone uses the elevator even thought it's only 1 floor. On our 3rd day we went out all day, we came back and our room key card is not working. We're at 17th floor, again elevator takes a while. We're all tired but we needed to go down asked for why the key card is not working, they said that it was kept next to a magnetic device or whatever. But when we get inside to our room, the card that opens the light and ac is also not working. Why would they deactivate it? So I needed to go down again and have them reactivate the key card for the lights and ac to work. I got tired going up and down asking and telling them my concern.

Our reservations were for 6 nights at an executive room with club access. The club access is truly the way to go these days. Anyway, I was very impressed from the moment my husband and I checked into Seda. We requested an early check in and were taken to the club lounge where they served us refreshments while our room was being prepared and provided us a welcome letter enumerating the club/lounge access. Our room was on the 15th floor with a beautiful view of BGC. Our room was cleaned daily and towels were changed daily. Bathroom and amenities well attended. We also availed of their bulk laundry service. The food selection at Misto and the Club/lounge were great and featured local Filipino and international cuisine. Being away for many years, I miss my Filipino food so most of the time during our stay I ate my favorite tapa, tocino, bangus, and Taho. I definitely felt at home back in my homeland being at Seda. The Straight Up rooftop bar has great cocktails, great service, and spectacular view! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Seda.
