Gorgeous hotel in a convenient spot in Cubao between offices, retail, restaurants and special events. Staff is super courteous and friendly. Shout out to Nigel, who is fairly new but super helpful. Their buffet is amazing with many tasty options. The lobby bar is not a fancy whisky bar, but has nice options for a hotel bar. Stayed here for 3 times now, all of that because we need to attend a concert in Araneta Coliseum. By that there's some flaws or whatever but we still love this hotel though. It's just that it's expensive unlike the hotels around it, which also serves the same experience like 'The Red Hotel'. The staffs are nice and accomodating. The hotel is i can say vintage, there are some rules that just applies for rich people i think or just being prim and proper one of that is no hotel sandals in their buffet, just flipflops or shoes. My parents and I stayed here for 4 nights mainly due to my cousin having his wedding reception and not wanting to travel back and forth to NAIA. Upon driving to the lobby, security had to check the car and trunk and again, I ask - does this act truly actually detect bombs? With how complex and inconspicuous devices nowadays - does the act of tiny mirror in a stick with a guy looking through quickly help? Then we roll into the lobby - at least there's an entrance and exit signage! Bellboy helped with our gazillion pieces of luggage and wedding amenities. Now comes inside the lobby and checking in. The front desk lady told me that she needed my dad's ID b/c that's what my cousin booked the reservation with. I asked her why - if I'm the one paying for the room, shouldn't it be both under my name? She said it's policy. I asked her if my dad and mom ends up buying in the room, who would it get charged to? She said to me. Hmmmmmmmm? Again, this place is worldwide. We end up to floor - 10 to be exact. We open our 2 rooms and they were both wrong. It's not the king that we requested and the other room smelled like smoke. Thus, we call the front desk to inquire and we were told that since we reserved under the wedding party block, they couldn't switch the rooms and were all booked. World class service :) I bite my tongue and so as I was about to unpack, front desk calls my room and tells me that they were "able" to accommodate just me into a king room. Hmm, but I thought I was "locked" into the wedding party res but they were able to move things around. Upon getting to the room, it was reserved for someone else - Mr. XXXX in the welcoming note with an apple and orange. Okay... right. Room was decent, hints of smoke - that was supposed to be non-smoking. At least it didn't smell like mold! The breakfast buffet wasn't as crazy as Cafe Bai. and it was also decent. Staff was nice but not as nice as Cafe Bai. The gym was a joke. Don't believe the picture on their website, trust me, I'm a print/web designer and they took that picture in an angle to make it look like it's big but my bedroom is bigger than the place. Epic fail. The day of the wedding reception, Dec 15 - I called the operator to double check that our rooms have late check-out because per my cousin, the groom who had his wedding reception in the hotel, told us that everyone who booked under his wedding block automatically received late check-out. Lo and behold, NOPE. The operator, Cecile or Cynthia, told me that she couldn't accommodate me because they're booked up. Upon hearing that, I had smoke coming out of my ears and nose. I explained to Cecile/Cynthia that they, the hotel, promised my cousin's guest that they would ALL get a late checkout but apparently, no, we're not? So it's a joke? So they lied? So my cousin, perhaps, lied? I told Cecile/Cynthia that what she's telling me is unprofessional and would like to speak to a manager. She called again insisting that she couldn't accommodate my request and so I listed all the hotel's mistakes: 1) my room request wasn't accommodated 2) not honoring what you guaranteed to your guests 3) they're liars and not at all what a "worldwide" hotel should be acting. After the third call, Cecile/Cynthia told me that in "good gesture" they'll give us late checkout until 2 pm. I told her she wasn't listening and that I only needed ONE room b/c my parents were dropping me at the airport and didn't know how bad the traffic was. Also, my cousins - the groom's brothers, all had the wrong rooms. They arrived late Friday and they had to switch rooms at midnight when they're all tired and exhausted. And they had late checkout! If you're booking for a wedding block, all the guest should all be on the same floor. I checked out and the front desk lady didn't even ask for my dad, because guess what... who's paying: ME! To the management - why wait until a customer is IRATE then in "good gesture" give me an extension? Is it so hard to make a note in your system that we're part of the wedding and perhaps align everyone regarding what was signed, what was discussed and agreed upon, like a good business transaction. Don't try to advertise your hotel like it's a 5-star because your actions and words don't align and you have ways to go to be anywhere near a Ritz Carlton. Very good hotel, excellent services. There are so many mega hotels in Manila it's almost daunting. Unfortunately for me, most of these hotels have casinos: There's the Nobu Hotel City of Dreams (Yep he's into the hotel thing now too, partnered with De Niro), Hyatt, The Conrad all are casinotels. We have that in Vegas and I'm not particularly feelin' the casinotel concept in Manila. I do like smaller hotels like the Pan Pacific and now the Novotel. The Accors group, a French company owns the Novotel and a range of hotels for every budget, from the modest Hotel F1 to the midrange Novotel, Ibis, to the luxury Sofitel chain. It used to own the Red Roof Inn and Motel 6 chains but has sold those two chains. The Novotel Manila is a sensible alternative for me because it's modern, non-casino and technology friendly. American hotels are great but Euro and Asian hotels rock on whole 'nother level and are cheaper! Customer service is stellar at the Novotel as is the same in many businesses. And this hotel is so central, you can walk to the mega malls that makes the city of Manila a shopper's paradise. Not moi, I'm diggin' the food scene here more than anything. Visits: 1 Tip: One downside: The Novotel hotel although only 8 miles from MNL or NAIA airport, can take over 1 3/4 hours due to traffic to and from the airport. Plan ahead. read more

Novotel - Our Executive King Riom - Hotels Near Me - Quezon City, NCR

First stay here. Definitely will not be our last. There is a lot to like about this hotel and service is one of them. The others are being next door to the Araneta Center (Foster the People is coming soon), a grocery store across the street, 3+ shopping malls within walking distance and being close to the MRT which can take you all the way to the Taft stop (Think Mall of Asia). Our room was a premium room on the 21st floor that had a nice view of the large Christmas tree (hint - street foods down there in the evening). A privacy screen can be powered up and down while showering or using the lavatory. Your choice of using the rain showerhead or a hand held shower. The bed was comfortable and there was enough room for a roll away bed in between the king sized bed and the little lounger. WiFi worked well (tested at around 10mbit). The TV had enough channels. There was a small alarm clock and a bluetooth speaker. A lot of 220v connection options near the bed and on the desk. For an upgrade fee of 50 dollars a night, there are certain amenities to be used such as a 24th floor premier lounge with a great outdoor balcony view, a room higher up and a free breakfast buffet (2 adults and 2 children included). There are some other perks to be had also. The premier lounge on the 24th floor is amazing. Free drinks and a small buffet at your fingertips. The view outdoors is amazing on a good day (slight breeze). Here's a hint. If you want some peace and quiet and do not mind a limited buffet menu, just eat breakfast at 6:30 at the premier lounge. You can get eggs cooked to your liking and regular bacon. Security at all entrances, an attentive staff that greets you, front desk service, the pool staff with lifeguard. I recommend this place to stay. You will not find a better deal for the service, the room, the amenities and the food. read more

When I first heard about Novotel, it did not immediately click in my head that it was THE international hotel chain that I've been seeing abroad. It is, though. It is a French hotel chain that is a part of the Accor Hotels group, which includes the hotel brands Sofitel, Raffles, Fairmont, Mercure, Ibis, etc... Novotel is the group's mid-range, family-friendly hotel brand. The Novotel Manila Araneta Center is the first Novotel in the Philippines and is located in the heart of Cubao, right beside the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It's just a couple of minutes from Gateway Mall, right across from Shopwise Supermarket, and a block away from SM Cubao - this is very convenient in case you need to buy something, or for emergencies. This weekend, we stayed at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center because I needed a staycation - a break from the daily routine to recharge and catch up - but I did not want the extra effort of making a long drive or the hassle of going through airports. THE ROOM We stayed at a Superior Room, at P5,500 net per night with buffet breakfast for two. In case you bring kids to your staycation, up to two children 15 years old and below can also eat at the buffet breakfast FOR FREE! See? Family-friendly! I love their colorful design. So chic and celebratory! The room was new and had a sleek, contemporary design. The bed is big and comfortable. The bathroom has modern fixtures. As with most modern hotels, the bathroom has a glass wall. But there's an automated blind that rolls up or down with the touch of a button to provide some privacy. The shower has both a rainfall shower head and a telephone shower head. There's also a hair dryer. It's missing the cotton buds, but we brought our own. I think maybe you can request some from housekeeping if you need them. I appreciate that they made the effort to support fair trade products. There's a fridge and a coffee / tea station. There's a desk and a big flat screen TV, and yup, you guessed it, it was a movie marathon kind of staycation! Bring your own laptop / player / Netflix account / HDMI cable, of course. So glad the room is set up so guests can easily watch TV from the bed, there are some hotels where this is not the case. Wifi is available. But what I really appreciate are the electrical outlets! Check out all the different kinds of ports / plugs (see pics). Love how Novotel Manila Araneta Center made the extra effort to put this in. There are also outlets on both sides of the bed, as well as below the desk, and at the coffee station, too. I don't think you'll ever run out of sockets to charge your gadgets with. There is also a closet with bathrobes and slippers, and a safe. Parking is free (one car per room). SUMMARY We had such a wonderful stay that we even extended another night! We really, really did not want to leave! Service was excellent everywhere, from reception, F&B, housekeeping, etc... all the staff seemed really happy and helpful. The hotel management is really very hands on, I always see them around the hotel even during the limited time we had walking to and from the buffet and lounge, making sure that everything is perfect. read more

I stayed here for about a week recently while visiting Manila for business and had a good experience. My main reason for choosing Novotel was proximity to work given how gruelling the traffic in Manila can get. I got myself an Executive Room which gave me access to the lounge upstairs. My room was modern and came with a nice view. The room came with a shower but had no bathtub -- this was not particularly a dealbreaker, but would've been nice to have since I'm shelling out for an Exec. room. I really appreciated the Illy coffee maker in my room which makes some great coffee -- far better than what's found in most hotel rooms. My booking also came with free breakfast buffet which I really enjoyed and made a ritual out of every morning during my stay. Their Indian breakfast was really good and so was their mezze dishes. I ordered some room service Indian food for lunch/dinner which was average -- too oily for my liking. If you're looking for a drink and a meal, the Gourmet Bar downstairs is a great option! The lounge upstairs is good if you're looking to get some work done. They serve coffee and snacks and some drinks during Happy Hour. The views are pretty neat too. I also used the fitness centre pretty regularly during my stay and had a good experience. Overall, I had a great experience and would return here for my next trip to Manila. read more

So I don't know if I had high expectations I didn't know much about the hotel but I was just crossing my fingers it was good. I've finished 8 of my 10 night stay and I am pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the accommodations are. The room is beautiful and I'm happy about the toilet and shower. There is the rainforest overhead shower option or the handle shower and a super bonus...warm water! The air conditioning unit is quiet and kept me cool. I have a king size bed that I hate leaving every day. The drapes have a blackout option and there is a lot of lighting options in the room. The internet speed is descent and works well for my needs. there are several plug options and types which I appreciate. The breakfast buffet is okay I just wish the options changed more. I ate there 5 out of 8 mornings and I'm now just maybe over it. However there is a ton of food places around here. There's a farmers market just down the street and a big mall for any needs so really I'm just too lazy to leave the hotel but there is no excuse since there is so much around here. Lastly the staff is amazing and accommodating. They really shine and make the experience memorable. I will be sad to leave but if I ever need a place to stay in QC I will definitely return here. read more

The people are like family. Basha is amazing. Front desk staff, bellman and security all know how to make your vacation. I definitely feel welcome. The location is great...staff are not trained, we eat in dinner buffet and the service is horrid. The servers are gossiping around the corner station, they don't replaced our silverware and when you asked someone to filled the water glass, you feel that it's a heavy work for them. The Maitre D' does not even say hi or welcome you. I asked if I can use the computer and you need sign a disclaimer form...it's unbelievable, I went back the next morning for coffee in lobby restaurant and almost same treatment I got. Stayed here 3x..Nov 2016, March 2017 and May 2017...this hotel's centrally located and very convenient - banks (BDO & Metrobank, etc), Gateway Mall, SM Mall & Shopwise, Farmers Market...numerous eateries and if you want to go to Makati--which we did, it only took us 25 minutes to get to Greenbelt (went to Conti's...and also to Fely J's restaurants). The staff are very polite, helpful & no one with an attitude (refreshing)...our room included the daily buffet breakfast. Checking in/out fairly fast. My siblings took advantage of the gym..they do have a pool & pretty garden also on the the 6th floor & an enclosed area for little kids. The rooms that we stayed in De Luxe/Standard..very nice with comfy beds. I will recommend this to anyone. We could have stayed in Makati but that area do have more traffic congestion. read more

I want to give this a place 1 star or less. Customer service is the worst mainly with management. I have been coming here every 3 or 4 months for the past 2 years. Service is getting worst. Especially when I changed from Hyatt City of dreams. And nobu Curry l City of dreams. I was never disappointed there. But the girl I was dating stayed closer to Novotel. The reason why I didn't give it a 1 star is because I have the staff in the lounge give over the top customer service. If they were running the hotel it would be a perfect 5 star getaway I noticed from the first night that my breakfast buffet experience is getting progressively worse. To a point where never had a server even to come by and refill the water. I tip 500php to 1,000 php each time I get service. Which is a lot for the Filipino people. I couldn't understand why. The only reason I could think of is that I am a black American with a Filipina. So I bring it up to the staff. I recorded the experience because I couldn't believe that I couldn't get anyone to help me. Showed it to management. Management was shocked by what he was seeing. There resolution was that they were going to talk to the staff. I'm sorry. I spent 5 days there and got bad service. I knew that they weren't going to believe me so I recorded and showed management. But they couldn't accommodate me in any way. Also I paid for 10 days. I had to leave after the 7th day which I paid for 10 days in full. The management said that if I wanted to come back that they will give me 3 days which I paid for on the previous stay. Which I know that they couldn't give me a free room because I was planning to go back in the holiday season. I asked if they can apply the dollar amount and charge me the difference. They quoted me 16,000 php. I found a rate of 15,000 php. On another site. So not only did they not apply any kind of discount but they over charged me. It's time for me to go to another hotel or buy a condo in the next Philippines. I have been on 7 different islands in the Philippines. This is the most rude and non helpful people that I have ever had to deal with. Everywhere else in the Philippines every one is so hospitable and a pleasure to be around... Americans!!!!!
