Quaint little coffee shop and book store. Definitely would recommend for somebody wanting to take some down time with a coffee and snack. The barista was very friendly and the atmosphere inviting. We got a cafe Americano and an almond milk cappuccino. Both were very good and we'd definitely go back if we were in the area.

Great place to come in from the cold. Nice selection of books and coffee supplies. I did not try their tea selection but other patrons were all smiles with their tea. Found some gems among their book selection.

They sell their own line of book-themed candles.

Great coffee and fun location. The baked goods and food are excellent. I had the cheesy quiche and pokara. Fun mix of foods. Recommended.

You have to stop here while in Truro. Wonderful beverages in a bookstore with art! Great people and comfortable seating. They do it right!

Really delicious coffee. As a bonus, they have a lovely selection of Nova Scotia pottery.

You could spend three days straight in here and still not go through everything. Picture Doull's…read morebookstore in Dartmouth, but with comics, CDs and DVDs as well (and some VHS tapes). All in the same size store. It is chaos. And it's awesome. I'm always on the search for a specific issue of a comic I read in the 80s that I need to complete my collection (boy, does that sound geeky). So of course we had to stop in here. There is very little room for people. It's floor-to-ceiling books, comics, trading cards, games, etc. They have absolutely everything, but good luck finding it. Boxes on top of boxes of comics in sort-of order. Fortunately the owner knows where everything is. He's a very busy man, from the looks of it; the store was very busy on our visit, and it was a Tuesday. If you love digging (literally) through mountains of media in search of a hidden jewel, you will absolutely love this place. Definitely worth a drive to the valley.

Pokemon fans will be happy to see the selection of Pokemon titles and cards. They also sell trading cards from hockey, baseball or games such as Magic and the like. "If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is…read morethinking." Haruki Murakami I feel like this book store supports expanding our thinking horizons by giving readers so many more interesting options than the typical mainstream ones. Delightful experience!

I've shopped at this bookstore several times even though I'm not from the area. I think I've spent…read morewell over $2,000 here in the past and they honestly do have a good selection of books and their prices aren't terrible. That said, the issue is 100% the service here, as most other reviews also mentioned. I remember a few years back, they started adding a couple of percent as a fee for credit card users. Ok, I get it. I'm not happy about it, but I know credit cards can be expensive for businesses. But, the cashier- some young guy, not the owner, made a joke about how glad they are that they can charge us more for it and that if I have a problem with it, I can leave. I didn't have a problem with it, nor did I give him a reason to think I would, but I certainly didn't appreciate the mocking tone about being charged extra. There were items that were not yet priced that I asked about and was completely told off for asking about items he didn't get to yet. I think it's also stupid how four years after Covid, they still won't let you in the store without a mask. The door is covered in signs with a condescending tone about how masks are expected. Again, the attitude is that if you have a problem, leave. This time, I did.
