I won't see anyone else…read more I've been seeing Summer for lashes, sugaring, and facials since February and I just started getting my eyebrows waxed and tinted by her too. She always does amazing work and it also just an all around great human. I look forward to talking to her throughout my appointments. Lashes: I was a newbie when I started getting lashes and honestly wanted something low maintenance so I could just "wake up and go" in the mornings without having to fuss with mascara. She walked me through the process and talked lengths with me prior to getting started. I felt super comfortable and like she knew what she was doing. She took her time and they look incredible every time! I've never had a fill that I didn't leave ultra happy with. Brows: I used and abused my brows (hello 90s thin line brows, I see you) and so it's been a struggle to get them to look how I want without several minutes and much patience in the morning drawing them in. Well, I'm all about the low maintenance and so Summer perfectly shapes and then tints my brows and I couldn't be happier, despite my previous disgust for my left eyebrow. After each appointment she shows me where still needs growth and where I absolutely cannot between appointment pluck if I want to have my left brow look like my beloved right brow. She's a perfectionist and I love that! Sugaring: What can I say. It's always awkward to introduce a new waxer/sugarer to the nether regions, but she's so professional and quick! She talks to you like it's NBD and it really isn't. It's my first experience with sugaring and I will never go back to wax for a Brazilian ever, ever again. Facials: I treat myself to a facial every few weeks and Summer recommended the perfect one for my skin and after each session, my skin is glowing and so incredibly clean. I wish I could get them every week!! All in all, I recommend Summer to all my friends and can't wait to try her other offerings as the needs arise. It has been very difficult for me, I'd been searching for a few years but was never really happy. I wanted a Pixie but I didn't think any of them REALLY listened to me; that is until I cold called Canyon Salon. I have extremely baby fine hair and over the last few years it has thinned out so I was looking for a haircut that made me look like I had more hair but one my thin fine hair would support. I was then assigned to Taylor Gilday. I was nervous at my 1st appt but my philosophy is "hair grows back"... I showed up and immediately was impressed that Taylor was at the front desk waiting for me! She has the most beautiful red hair and her bubbly, friendly personality was like a whole welcoming committee. I'm thinking, this is a good start.... She seats me down at her station and we talk; she's asking me what my thoughts were and we discuss my hair and what I wanted, the problems I have and my concerns. Let me tell you, I'm almost 70 yrs old so I've had a few stylist in my lifetime and I've NEVER had one that took as much time as Taylor did to get to "know" my hair and what I wanted. It was a shock tbh. My previous tries at a Pixie haven't turned out as what I had envisioned, they were, ummm, in a word - bad. When I went to Taylor, I don't know what I was sporting but it certainly wasn't a Pixie by any stretch of the imagination. I was the poster child for "Don't let this happen to you!" I maybe 70 but I don't want to look like an old lady; I still want style. After our extensive talk I asked Taylor what she ultimately thought, was what I was asking for unattainable? She was very honest with me and advised she would need at least 2 tries to get my vision and asked me to trust her and give her the 2 haircuts. I agreed, I had nothing to lose and like I say, it's hair, it'll grow back. She gave me the 1st cut, targeting the areas I had problems with and I walked out with hope. Eight weeks later I went in for the 2nd haircut and left with the BEST haircut I've had in YEARS! I knew right then and there that Taylor was my new "forever" stylist! Taylor is exceptionally good at conversing with her clients; she listens and understands her clients wants, needs, and concerns like no other stylist I've visited and she is amazing at cutting hair. A.MAZ.ING! Contrary to popular belief, Pixies are not an easy style to cut but believe me when I say Taylor knows how to cut a Pixie. And if she can cut a Pixie, she can cut any precision haircut. She is that good! I cannot recommend Taylor Gilday highly enough; I don't know what I would do without her expertise; she's phenomenal!!!
