Very happy with Nova Tax Consultants. My husband found them on Yelp after being extremely disappointed with the last two tax accountants. We paid much more than we have at Nova. We asked for expertise on certain issues like our children being in college and rental properties at the last two tax accountants. They were uninformed and dismissive. At Nova they got to the bottom of our questions worked with us and we're able to get the best possible tax advice. I've been so pleased with them even when we owe I know they're really looking out for us. read more

After becoming completely disgusted with our incompetent previous tax preparer, three years ago we were fortunate enough to discover Nova. They took a real interest in looking carefully at our financial situation to maximize anything that was applicable to us. Not only did they ask us for details about things that we wouldn't have even thought of, they offered suggestions about things that our previous preparer had not even taken into account. They knew that we were dissatisfied with our previous preparer so after they finished our first tax return with them they offered to review our previous year's tax returns for a (very) nominal fee. For the previous year we had paid, but after reviewing and taking into account everything they now knew about us they re-filed our previous year's tax return and got us a significant refund because of things that had been overlooked! We are very grateful for Nova and Tami and their expertise and caring attitude! read more

She's still awful! Apparently she doesn't learn fast. Tami remains abusive, hostile & unhelpful. I've tried communicating with her about how to resolve the items we disagreed about but... you can see her responses. Defensive instead of problem solving. Is that the kind of person you want involved in your taxes? I think not. She doesn't recognize that an offended citizen means every person that citizen ever meets will get an earful about how awful Tamy & Nova are! You can't sue over an opinion T. My opinion of you is very low & it's based on your poor performance! PERIOD read more

I had a situation recently where the IRS sent me a notice and i thank god everyday i decided to call Nova first because im a scaredy cat and was just going to pay for whatever the IRS told me i had "done wrong" even though i already filed fully for that year, which Tami (the owner) explained was absolute BS they were trying to pull on me. She was luckily able to squeeze me in the same day to look over everything and call the IRS with me! And let me tell you it was like watching superwoman! Literally within MINUTES they told me to disregard the notice!! It was the biggest relief EVER, and the fact Tami (and her office) took the time to help me is something i'll be grateful for forever. on top of that, every experience i had filing my taxes here was great. Any questions i had were always met with understanding and the team there is very thorough and truly working to help put you in the best position possible. Thank you Tami! You and your office are amazing! read more

Last year Leolani did an amazing job of preparing my taxes, which was a challenge due to many challenges in my financial situation in 2022. Well, she recently retired but I am confident that her co-workers will provide the same exceptional service as she did. read more

Nova Tax Consultant - Napa - Tax Services Near Me - Napa, California

We went in there to do our taxes, and the lady wasn't ready for us, which was fine so we were waiting. They were all very loud talking about other clients. It was an extremely chaotic environment. Stacks of papers everywhere. Once we were called back, they were other people's tax returns just sitting on the chair next to my husband. The lady could not even focus on us. She was too busy talking and responding to the other people in the office. We got up and left. To sum it up, they were extremely unprofessional. read more

Recent calls to this agency have shown few improvements. Parking is still tight & limited here, no restroom for customers, staff aren't friendly or helpful. They decline to assist with completing paperwork & can't answer basic questions without " checking with the owner" who rarely seems to be present & doesn't return calls even though she posts a promise to do so on her website. Tami is rude when you can finally get her attention & she's so defensive she is incapable of fixing issues. I've taken her work to be reviewed by a "REAL TAX EXPERT" & they found it inaccurate, dangerously so! If you want tax problems keep coming here. Otherwise try a CPA who can keep you of IRS audits! Tami won't produce good results for you! read more

Tami has been incredibly helpful since the first time I needed help with a complicated tax return and OIC a few years back. She guided through each process and over the years has always been available to help and answer any questions I might have. Highly recommend! read more

honestly way too expensive and the owner will never take accountability for failures. Use this place at your own risk

The team at Nova is amazing. I worked with them for the first time last year and they were extremely helpful. Working closely with them they were able to help save me money and file on time. I would would recommend them to anyone looking to be more efficient in filing taxes. read more

I'm disappointed in Tami P. for being inaccurate in her recommendations for my small business. Staff who were sent to her for signing up as new employees did not get the right paperwork. This has created extra work for me and hardships for them as deductions were not handled properly. Ill take my business elsewhere read more

I just went onto yelp to review Tami and her team at NovaTax and my other half beat me to it! I still feel the need to give Tami and her team 5 stars. Finding a trustworthy tax professional, with reasonable prices is next to impossible. So now that i have found the next to impossible i have to share Tami took the time to explain everything. She went above and beyond filing our taxes without charging us a fortune. Anyone considering using a tax professional instead of an online program or a national chain should consider NovaTax! I am putting a more detailed story below because handing someone all of your paperwork and trusting them to do your taxes the best way possible is scary.... I was life long "do-it-yourselfer" when it came to taxes. My theory was, "why pay a fortune when online programs walk you through the same process for a fraction of the cost?" I have done it all, from 1040ez to a full schedule C as a contracted worker. I was the person everyone else came to for tax help. I thought i was pretty good at it too, until 2015 when the IRS rejected our return, it has been a nightmare of rejected returns ever since. One bad return and it snowballed out of control. We were in collections for that 2015 return and had refunds owed for 2016. Everything was stuck in limbo. We reached out to tax consultants, financial advisors, a company that advertises they can get the IRS off your back, and a tax attorney. Each time we either got vague advice, or a promise to help..... after we pay thousands up front costs. Our tax situation became so overwhelming i gave up. I quit trying to fix the return, i quit opening the collection letters. I just pretended our tax problem didn't exist. My husband met Tami while the kids were at martial arts class. He gave tami 4 years of mess and she quickly and professionally organized everything. We had to call the tax board, Tami sat on hold with my husband and helped him request a hold be put on his wage garnishment. She took time to review my numbers and compare them to hers to ease my anxiety. Even more of a relief, Tami really understands what is like to be a working class family on a budget. The cost, for everything she has done for us, was less than that computer program i was so happy and smug to buy every year. I cannot express how happy i am that we took a leap of faith and trusted tami with our situation. If i would have known that i could afford to have my taxes done, by a person, i would have done so years ago! read more

I will never ever go to another tax consultant again... my last accountant died suddenly and I went to HR block out of desperation. I met Tami who did my taxes... I went back to her again the next year and then tried to book the next year only to find she wasn't there anymore. I found her through Facebook and she let me know she was opening her own firm. I was so excited for her and immediately went to her new office after my horrible experience at an HR block where the man made me feel bad for not having all my paperwork organized. After Tammy whipping through whatever I brought her like a pro I thought this guy was just not cool at all. So I follow the most amazing hospitality and professional Tami Patterson to her new offices and I will recommend her to friends and family. read more

Cindy was very fast, efficient and super friendly! Got me in and out in less than an hour.

Very friendly people who deal well with my cantankerous elderly uncle. They helped him gather all the appropriate documents and were patient and kind to him. Tami seems on top of tax rules and they were prompt and efficient once we got everything gathered. My uncle will continue to use them with my assistance every year. The fees for preparation services seem very reasonable. Give them a try!! read more

Tammi and her team are amazing! She went above and beyond to help me file taxes I've been fighting since 2015. Somebody in Georgia stole my nine-year-old son's Social Security number in 2014. For the last four years I've been doing everything I can to get the state and federal to help me out with this issue. My wages were garnished and credit ruined. I was getting nowhere with the IRS. Tammi and her team went above and beyond working to correct this issue. In a few days Tammi was able to get my 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 taxes filed. Her knowledge and positive attitude made the process enjoyable. I highly recommend Nova. Tammi thank you for everything. Your passion for helping others is impressive. Taxes!! We all have to do them... sadly! But the last 2 years that I have done my Taxes with Ramona at Nova Tax Consultant, it's truly made every year easier for me! I used to go to another company (That shall not be named) and I really didn't like going there it was honestly stressful! And of course it's tax season who wants to deal with more stress... NO ONE! But I can really say that coming here everyone is awesome they make you laugh, feel stress free, and the people are amazing they all work together to make taxes easier on the rest of us ! I give it 5 for 5 stars every time if I could I'd make 10 for 5 read more

Wife and I came in for a consultation. Tami could not have been more caring, personable, and professional. This is our new tax spot.

5 STARS PLUS MORE IS A MUST! I MEAN WOW. Tami and her staff are amazing. I got there and even though I overheard the lady I was booked with wasn't there due to an emergency, Tami (the owner) treated the situation with ease. I almost thought I was going to be an inconvenience and I would have needed to wait a long time or have to come back. But no, nothing like that at all. And mind you, taxes were due Monday and I was there on a Saturday afternoon. I came to her with unfiled taxes of THREE years (random years as far as 2013) and my current one. I was irresponsible and put it off because I knew I owed plus I didn't want to deal with the penalties and the fee of having to pay someone hundreds and hundreds of dollars to help me file them. Plus, I went to H&R last year and my tax guy made me feel like I was unprepared and I was so u comfortable. I felt like I was being scolded because I needed to show him proof my daughter was mine. Even though I had her social security and she was with me! He even kind of scolded her for not having her school ID with her, WTF. But wow, Tami helped me through all of them with PURE EASE and made me feel so comfortable through it all. Plus this woman is a freaking hilarious!!!!!! So brutally honest about random things and this woman is sooooo smart. She even gave me recommendations and suggestions about real estate (I've been wanted to sell and buy recently) when I eaves dropped on her and a realtor she was doing taxes for. She can do it all lol. Plus, her fees are so reasonable. I mean VERY REASONABLE. So again, making my experience so much more amazing. I felt like this burden on my shoulders have been lifted. I'll be seeing her soon about more financial advice! Lol THANKS TAMI!!! Seriously... thank you! And to her staff too... they are GREAT! Please please see her you will not regret it. read more

Tami makes getting my taxes done so FUN! She is sharp as a tack, funny, personable and detail oriented. The new office is beautiful and she is such a hard worker. I highly recommend Nova Tax Consultant to anyone who wants to actually enjoy having their taxes prepared. read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Changed the preparer at the last minute to somebody with no experience in single member llc which we had requested. The preparer clearly didn't work in the office as she didn't know where she was supposed to be working, or where her desk was, on top of being late. Couldn't be more frustrated, what a waste of time. read more

Nova Tax Consultants will help you solve your tax worries if you previously enjoyed procrastination and letters from the IRS. I went into Nova with 3 years of taxes that needed to be complete. Expecting to be chastised, I instead was warmly welcomed and helped by Tammi and her team who had made the appointment feel more like a Thanksgiving reunion with visiting relatives. The tax office I had been using never tried to find additional write off's; Tammi and Ramona inquire about who you are to really find any additional help that you might need. And when they can't, the are even friendly and compassionate (if) you cry in the office. I highly recommend Nova Tax Consultants to anyone looking for a place that is more than just a tax preparer. read more

my mother and I had our taxes done over the weekend with Tami. Tami was wonderful to work with and she really knew her stuff. Tami is great and so is her staff. She went the extra mile to locate things I forgot to claim. I recommend them highly.

We were in search of a local tax accountant to amend a return since our previous tax preparer retired. Tami handled our amended return wonderfully, finding many more deductions that we could take. She also completed our 2019 quickly and knew exactly what documentation we needed. I highly recommend Tami at Nova Tax. She does a wonderful job and has saved us a lot of money! read more

Ramona was great and help get me extra money plus saved me on some fees I normally would have paid. I will be using them every year now.

Tammy and her team are the best. She really cares and it shows. Had five years of previous taxes that I was paying on. She got them consolidated into one payment, and for way less money than I owed. Thanks Tammy! I'll be out of this nightmare in less than a year. read more

Taxes. Not fun and usually full of anxiety. And I don't have anything fancy like my own business so they should be pretty straight forward. With all that has happened in this world, taxes have now become a lot more difficult. So when the IRS sent me a latter saying that I Owed them almost 10 grand for 2019, I knew I needed professional help. So I asked the google machine for a tax professional in Napa. And up pops Nova tax consultant. Now I have used a couple tax firms in the past and they usually start off with some fancy tax talk that goes over my head. Tami, At Nova, made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. When I left, the IRS was paying me. That's what I am talking about!!!!. This place is family run and down to earth. Between Tami and her son John, I have now found a honest tax firm that I will stay with for life. Honest, friendly and local. This is what it's all about. Thank You Team!!! read more

I absolutely adore Tammy! I met her as a tax consultant through H&R Block. As soon as I met her, I liked her and felt lucky to have been given her for my taxes that year. After many of her long term clients encouraged her to start her own business, she finally has! She got her business up and running without skipping a beat! She is extremely personable and down to earth. She knows the tax system very well and does everything possible to get you the biggest refund or help direct you with what to do for the future. Her fees are very reasonable and she is worth more than every penny! Tammy is also easy to get ahold of and values all of her customers as well as the people who work for her...you can just tell! -Jessica Benjamin, Napa CA read more
