I was recommended by my primary care provider to Dr Ghorbani because I had an implant from 8 years ago. One of the saline's breast was leaking. I did not want to go just anywhere cause I wanted perfection. I'm not happy with less than perfection. I think it was a very hard job to reconstruct someone breast. Remove old implants, give them a lift and add new implants at the end you end up with Symmetrically perfect breasts. That's an art. He is very kind and patient. Do not use Dr Nouri Ghorbani. He botched my tummy tuck, refused to provide me with a letter so I can refinance my house since I will not pay his bill. And kept insisting I come in so he could examine me. I am TRAUMATISED!!! He originally said he would give me the letter. He finally phoned and said I need to come in so we can proceed with a course of treatment. I am no longer his patient. And no, it isn't a giant hernia. I am going to see a doctor in LA and my boyfriend will take care of me. I can't wear a swimsuit, I look like a freak. I had my surgery February of 2018. I went in had a tummy tuck, lipo of the neck and back and last but not least I had a large lower back tattoo removed. I'm beyond pleased with my results. I had twins and my midsection was a complete mess. Now I have an hourglass shape with a flat stomach. The tattoo I had was of my ex husband, so now I'm free of that. This review is long overdue. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and referred by my sugeon for reconstruction to this doctor. The staff was very friendly and welcoming but the doctor had a horrible bedside manner. I was still dealing with my breast cancer diagnosis and he was very apathetic and rude. He barely introduced himself to me without even cracking a smile and examined my body as if it was not attached to me. After the exam I was brought to his office to discuss the procedure which was covered by my insurance so he assumed he was performing the reconstruction. I started taking notes on my phone and he rudely told me to get off my phone while he was talking to me. I left feeling very down and upset because of how he examined me and talked down to me. I'd wanted a rhinoplasty for my entire life and Dr. Ghorbani gave me everything I could have ever wanted plus more. He was the first surgeon I had a consultation with and I booked my appointment immediately and didn't even consider any others. He is so experienced and skilled, he was able to spot everything I wanted fixed plus create a nose that perfectly fit my face. This was my first surgery and first time being put under, and I was so nervous throughout the entire process but he, his staff, and the Aspen staff made this entire experience so comfortable and painless. I am extremely thankful to have come across a surgeon like Dr. Ghorbani. When I first had my consultation with him, he examined my nose and knew exactly what was to be done and how. I really liked his way of explaining things to me which made me feel comfortable. That sense of comfort is what made me choose him as my surgeon because I felt that he was the one that could perform the job right. He was always ready to listen to any questions/concerns that I had throughout my overall visits with him and always offered that I call in if any other questions came up. The staff there are also very nice & supportive. Dr. Ghorbani also showed very good bedside manner which I really appreciated, as I was a bit nervous but mostly excited! I should have written this a long time ago and I apologize to those I might have helped guide in the right direction. I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer a couple years ago and needed a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. During a time that I needed support, I found comfort through an acquaintance who had already been through this experience. She recommended Dr. Ghorbani and claimed he was the best. Frantically, I went to every well known plastic surgeon in Contra Costa and Alameda County. Many of the plastic surgeons were not skilled to do this type of reconstruction and those who were showed me before and after photos that terrified me. I ended up going with Ghorbani after actually seeing the results of one of his reconstruction patient in person. At this point, I knew he was the one for me. Dr. Ghorbani and my breast surgeon (Dr. Kerlin) work great together and the result was better than I could have expected. It takes a very skilled plastic surgeon to rebuild a breast from nothing. The breast surgeon takes it away and Dr. Ghorbani puts it back. When it came time for nipple reconstruction, I had interviewed a couple plastic surgeons within my insurance plan to save money. Each surgeon was wonderful and willing to complete the final stage and all were impressed saying I had one of the best results they'd ever seen. It made my husband and I realizing that there wasn't a price you can put on this situation. We trusted Dr. Ghorbani and needed him to complete the job. Surprisingly, he was accepted as a provider by my insurance group, prior to surgery! Sadly, I have recently had a friend in need of the same surgery. After sharing my opinion/results with her, she also chose Dr. Ghorbani. Once again.... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Breast cancer is not an easy thing to deal with and mastectomy adds "insult to injury". I have seen many amazing surgeons, but Dr. Ghorbani needs to get credit for perfecting something so sensitive to women. I have chosen Dr. Ghorbani for doing a face lift because of his excellent reputation and because I have seen surgery results done for a family member and friends. Dr. Ghorbani is meticulous in explaining every detail of the procedure including type of anesthesia. Dr. Ghorbani was rude and preys on the insecurity of women who are trying to improve/feel good about themselves. I went in wanting to learn more about fat grafting to the breasts which involves lyposuction to remove the fat and then grafting the fat into the breasts. He told me that implants would be better but that I should still get lypsuction because I obviously need it. OBVIOUSLY. He said with emphasis. I am 5' 7" and weigh 159lbs. Luckily, my self esteem couldnt be crushed by this weasel of a man, but not all women may be so lucky. I would NOT recommend this doctor in a million years. Instead, go see Dr. Bachelor in Danville or Pleasanton. He is very kind and MUCH more thorough and knowledgable than this inconsiderate excuse for a man and doctor. read more

It's unfortunate to write this review since the staff and Dr himself are nice people. However, this is about the results of two surgery we done with him. My Mom did facelift with him and I did rhinoplasty. We both waited a long time till all the complication that they say it will pass by time goes away. Unfortunately, still no change. Mine is better since my problem is that the bridge of my nose between my eyebrows are flat and not rounded! I mentioned to him and instead of fixing it permanently, he used filler which obviously goes away. He also used filler for under my eye, which did go away 3 weeks after and when I called them, they didn't give me any good answer. I also snore now sometimes which I never did before. For my Mom is worse! After a really hard complicated surgery experience, she didn't change at all! Only bunch of scars around her face and a right eye that still watering and feels like there is constantly something in it. An eye Dr told her whoever lifted your eyes ruined it. She tried to talk to Dr and his staff but unfortunately they're attitude was such that we both let go of it all together! My Mom recently experienced another surgeon Dr Seiff and it was even more eye opening to compare the two Drs and difference in the way they treat their patients and the result. We had no complications with Dr Seiff and the results are amazing.  It's disappointing to write this review with all the money we paid! There were expensive surgeries. read more

I had a few inclusion cycst's on my face, I was really worried about having someone take them off because I am light skinned and blond hair. I knew Dr. Ghorbani because I use to work with him as a surgical technician and knew of his skills so I went in to see him. My results were stunning.....after the procedure I had the tiniest of sutures that he used. Once the sutures were taken out you cannot tell I had anything done, perfect! As a professional working along side of this surgeon I can tell you he is really great with his mannerism, attention to detail, compassionate about the outcome for the patient and really puts in the time and effort. I recall one time he pulled a whole line of closing suture out because the skin was not to the perfection that he thought it should be. I had a breast reduction surgery with Dr. Ghorbani at the end of June this year. Everything went so well from the start of the process. The referral process through John Muir was smooth and I was able to see Dr. Ghorbani right away. He evaluated me and said I was a great candidate for the surgery. We looked through pictures, discussed all of the surgical options and the one he would perform on me. I wanted this surgery for many years but my past employer would not cover it. To my surprise, the approval came within a couple weeks and I scheduled my surgery shortly after that. I didn't have any complications during or after surgery. My breasts look fantastic, now 36C, and they're just the right size for my body. I'm 5.2. Dr. Ghorbani really took the time to make sure the size was right (I have not been smaller than a DDD since 20 yrs ago!) and my breasts came out with great symmetry. I'm super pleased with the surgery! Everyone in his office (there are 2 ladies who work there) were so helpful in making the appointments, approvals and even the FMLA paperwork that I needed for my time off. My one suggestion would be (and this goes for all surgeons) is to really stress to patients how much help they'll need after surgery. I underestimated the amount of help that I would need and ended up hiring a home health aide during the first couple weeks. Also, sometimes insurance will cover home health aides for a $20 copay/hour. A breast reduction is really intense and/or maybe some people heal faster, but I wish I'd taken off a couple weeks just to fully recuperate mentally and physically. Hopefully, no more surgeries for a long time, but it's one thing that I will be sure to keep in mind next time. Overall, I am so glad that I did the surgery with Dr. Ghorbani, my lower and upper back pain have almost completely resolved within about 2 months of the surgery. I walk differently, more upright and taller. Even bra and clothes shopping has become much more fun because I'm not struggling to find dresses that aren't open back, worried about how my cleavage will pop through, shirts that won't button b/c of my large bust, prettier bras that aren't squeezing the heck out of my sides or shoulders. It's just been such an improvement that will continue on for a very long time. If I required another surgery, I would definitely go back to Dr. Ghorbani. read more

I had a reast reduction and it needs repair. He promised since it was his error that he would repair it free of charge.( I have big scars about 2 by three inches wide, and 2 inches of additional puffy skin under my breasts). it came time to have a surgical correction, he stated that he would charge me my insurance contracted rate. My insurance will not pay it as it now is no longer medically necessary. The job was messy and now I am left to pay another plastic surgeon monies, all because of his mistakes. Another associate said her husband had a nose job from the Doctor, and his nose needs to be repaired as it is not right. He stated to her that he would fix it free of charge, and once again he backed out. So now her husband has to find another plastic surgeon to repair his nose. I first met Dr. Ghorbani in 1995 while laying in John Muir Hospital with a crushed leg.He was assigned to close a gapping 18" tear that all the other doctors said would require skin grafts. After the operation I found out that Dr. Ghorbani had closed the wound without grafts! Nothing less than a miracle! Because he was the only plastic surgeon I knew and due to the confidence I had in him, my first wife and I returned to him that same year for her breast implants. Long story short, that was 18 years ago and she still has them and they still look amazing! (According to my daughter. She had breast fed 3 children). In the past 5 years I've have brought 2 other ladies to Dr Ghorbani for breast augmentation, one of which chose a doctor in Blackhawk and he butchered her. I was horrified. That doctor never took responsibility for his mistake. The other chose Dr. Ghorbani and as with my ex-wife, she too looks amazing. (these women at the time of the surgeries were 38, 28 and 34). Now for me. I went in 18 months ago and told the doctor I wanted 7 cosmetic procedures done all at once! The doctor contemplated this carefully for days because it would be pushing the limits of both his skills and endurance along with my ability to recover. For a 54 year old man I was in great shape and I had all the confidence in the world in Dr. Ghorbani. I told him I wanted to do it. I am writing this 18 months later because I wanted to be sure that everything was just as I wanted and I can tell you I couldn't be happier. Dr. Ghorbani performed surgery on my nose twice. My nose looks like it is 2 separate pieces put together incorrectly. My left and right profile are different because the left tip of my nose has a lump of cartilage. I also have a bump in the bone near the tip. The top of my nose seems to have a slit in the bone, which stretches the skin in an awkward manner. read more

I have seen Dr. Ghorbani for years, first for Botox and fillers, and more recently for a small liposuction at an area of my body that always bothered me. I could not be happier with everything he has done for me over the years. He is a true artist, and a caring and gentle physician. Last time I asked him if there was a way to take care of some lines around my lips. He said while he could inject something he would probably advise against it as it might change the quality of my smile. This is precisely the kind of advice I need to hear from a doctor! I always want to look like myself. I have read some of the negative reviews here and I firmly believe they are bogus. Dr Ghorbani is an outstanding surgeon, and the team at Aspen Surgery Center where he performs his procedures always tell me the same thing (I have heard them say things like 'He walks on water!', 'He is just awesome', etc) ! I am grateful that he is helping me remove some signs of aging but still always making sure I look like myself. I'm surprised to not see Dr Ghorbani's section on Yelp overflowing with glowing reports from his patients! I think it must reflect human nature to only use Yelp as a sounding board for a grievance one hasn't addressed in a more appropriate manner with the doctor himself. This type of specialty, in particular, may be forcing prior patients into hiding, not choosing to share details (no matter how positive) with the world when there are those who might not agree with their choice to undergo a cosmetic procedure. Dr Ghorbani's practice, however, also is comprised of many reconstructive procedures following cancer, physical injury or trauma. There's nothing to be ashamed about in seeking out a talented doctor such as Dr Ghorbani in either event. I was referred to this practice in 2012 after a diagnosis of breast cancer so he could coordinate the reconstruction with my other surgeon. I had already seen another reconstructive surgeon who was unwilling to take me on due to other health issues. Dr Ghorbani carefully reviewed my medical history, examined me and said he saw nothing to contraindicate my procedure and he outlined how he planned to proactively address my health issues. He has quite a bit more experience than the first doctor and he was not at all intimidated by my health profile. He showed me pictures of other patients he had reconstructed following breast cancer and repeatedly said that his goal was to give me the most natural and beautiful result possible. The pictures of his other patients were impressive! Just as impressive was how he spoke of his dedication to each patient when they were at perhaps the lowest point in their lives. His manner is that of a gentle and sensitive artisan and I felt comfortable with him right from the outset...no embarrassment or awkwardness at all. He was very soft-spoken but thorough in describing to me what he could and would do and prepared me for the somewhat time-consuming project we were about to undertake together. At no time did he try to "oversell" me and I was confident there would be no hint of "Hollywood" when he finished. He takes great pride in helping to restore a woman faced with losing both breasts to a confident and beautiful woman again. This is a man who clearly respects women and enjoys using his artistic eye as well as his vast medical talent and experience for their benefit....so they will be able to recognize the woman in the mirror again once the trauma of cancer is behind them. I have had the chance to make conversation in his waiting room with several of his patients in varying stages of their own reconstruction of one type or another and I never heard a hint of disappointment from any of them. The words that kept ringing true with my own experience of him were "sensitive, artistic, dedicated and skilled". My bet is that if I were to run into you in his waiting room sometime in the future and exchange conversation with you, I would hear you saying the same things. read more
