Sunday, May 31 is Mother's Day in France. And after a day of being tourists and over eating and drinking we didn't think we wanted much more than a small bite for our dinner but was after all, 9:30 pm!
Not many places were even open, and one place turned us away as it was too late for them. Lucky us! Across the street was a "Restaurant-Lounge" NOTABOU
We love this place and URGE YOU to dine there. It is outer-worldly. The atmosphere is indeed a lounge, but Chef Jean is a masterful creator, blending a palate of flavors into intoxicating and mind bending original combinations that had us scrapping the bowls. This is seriously great cuisine. Artful, flavorful, and non-apologetic...and it should never be! When in France, how many Foie Gras, terrines, confit, boeuf du blah can you have before you wonder what the excitement is all about? After a dozen visits to France, I have to say, this meal will be more remembered than many Michelin star. read more
