Had an appointment today with Peter J. Nosal at 2pm for estate planning. He arrived over 20 minutes late for the appointment stating that he just got done with his child's doctor's appointment. The receptionist assured us several times that he was on a court call and those calls can sometimes run longer. Turns out she lied right to our faces because we were ready to leave, since it didn't appear that he was planning on showing up. He finally shows up in flip flops and doesn't seem to know why we are there. We explain what estate planning we are looking for and he makes it seem like we don't need estate planning even though it's listed on their website. I asked him to adjust the website since it's clearly misleading and he asked me to show him where it says that on the website. I show him where it says that on the website that has his name on it, but somehow he's completely unaware of it. At one point he got up to go ask another attorney about estate planning and comes back and says "yea, they don't know." It also says on the website they are licensed to practice in both NC and SC, which is apparently another lie. I have never had such a confusing and frustrating encounter with an "attorney" as he seemed to know absolutely nothing about anything. He was extreme unprofessional, his receptionist had no issue with lying to our faces and he clearly has poor time management skills. It was reg flag after red flag in that appointment and I couldn't believe they operate in that way. There were absolutely no other clients in the building and I'm not at all surprised. Stay away if you value your time or need someone who is competent, because you won't find that here. Whoever scheduled our appointment is also incompetent because they clearly set us up with someone who wouldn't be able to handle what we needed. If the issues are from the front desk to the courts, you know the problem is systemic and not a one-off. They should be embarrassed by how things unfolded today. read more

Worst experience with a law firm period. April Newton would not respond in a timely fashion (days / weeks) they were not able to dismiss my case and did not even request all of the details pertaining to the case (ie. no laser / radar gun used). I never even spoke to one of their attorneys to explain my case. Following the verdict, there was a refund owed for $162 to be sent back to me since they were only able to reduce my fine not dismiss it. For $650 spent, it was the worse money I spent. I also requested a copy of the deposition, which they have never sent. This is an unprofessional firm, which I would recommend to not do business with. read more

I live in NC but work in SC so was hoping to find an estate planning lawyer to help me write my will in NC and be located as close to work as possible so I didn't have to miss too much work to keep any appointments. I couldn't believe my luck to find Mr. Jeter who has an office in Fort Mill, SC and is also licensed to practice in NC! The first session was free as promised. I felt Mr. Jeter was engaged in the interaction and very interested in what I was looking to get out of the process. I decided to move forward with the estate planning package (my first in this state) and Mr. Jeter continued to be a pleasure to work with. He gave me great advice on what the consequences of some of my wishes would turn out to be like if written exactly as I was originally thinking, and how we could turn them into more appropriate documents to support the intent of what I was hoping to achieve with my estate. I was very involved and very detail-oriented in the process, and he was very accommodating with my questions and concerns and made any necessary changes until the package was better than I originally expected. There were legal documents I wasn't even aware of from my previous lawyer and I appreciated that he included them in the package to be sure my wishes, and personal and financial welfare and property, are protected by the available law (whether I'm incapacitated or passed). Mr. Jeter's office was on top of executing the documents, arranging our appointments, and very hospitable and pleasant. Given all the documents and work that went into my package, I also felt that the fee Mr. Jeter quoted in the beginning was reasonable and fair.
