My wife and I went here on a tour. We're looking for a country club to join. It was between this…read moreone and Greensburg country club. I know why Westmoreland country club only has 400 members and Greensburg has 1200 members. The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Basically you pay $20,000 a year for you and your family. And the place looks like it came straight out of the 60s. it smells absolutely horrible in there. As soon as you walk in, you get a punch to the face of mothballs and embalming fluid. I don't know why. I won't lie. The woman who toward us was super nice. And the manager who was a real nice guy, he gave us coffee and tea. But some of the things I didn't agree with. And some of the things that I didn't agree with was if I wanna go golfing, I'm free and I get a cart for free but if I wanna bring my brother who wouldn't be part of my membership, he's $325 to play and he has to pay an additional $35 just a ride in the golf cart. That is absolutely stupid. I've been a member at country club before. And a lot of them do not do that. They say they have a restaurant but it's not even open yet. And they're closed two months out of the year. Every country club that I've ever been a member at they're open all 12 months. They'll just have one day a week that they're closed. But you can still golf on that day. I do not recommend this place. This place needs to be tore down and start all over again. They need to modernize and they need to get rid of that funky smell. Most of the people that go to Westmoreland country club are 50 years or older. Greensburg country club they said most of their members are between the ages of 21 and 40. They do have some that are older and they also have a younger group of kids that are legacies off of their parents, but also are really in the golf. And when you want to golf with a family member not in your package it's $40 and the cart comes with it for free. That's more reasonable. Their pub looks so much better than Westmoreland and their dining room is beautiful.

Always loved golfing here. I'm still just learning but everyone is Friendly including the staff,…read moregolfers are nice as well.

They've lost most of the tee boxes and the fairways are very muddy in a lot of spots. These things alone wouldn't warrant a bad review, but to then charge a $50+ price tag for 18 and a cart is ludicrous. This is a $30 golf course. Prices either need to come down or significant investment needs to be put back into the course. When we got to the first tee we had the privilege of chatting with some other groups who were about to go off, we learned that their tee times are spaced less the 8mins apart. This creates quite the log jam. As for the layout, the front isn't bad. With a little elbow grease, it could be a very nice front 9. The back seems like it was designed by a drunk toddler. The first 6 holes on the back are either drivable par 4s (if you can carry 295-305) or par 3s, which adds to the log jam. Leaving 15 green and heading toward 16 tee is one of the wildest traverses I've ever seen on a golf course. You come out of the valley via a cart path that looks like it's been hit with mortars, blindly into the landing zone of 16 fairway. I'd be shocked if people don't frequently get hit with balls here. Then you have to drive directly at the tee box, staring down the gun, from it's own fairway, for like 200 yards. 17 is another drivable par 4. To reiterate, if this were a $30 golf course where people who are just taking up the game go to learn, then all of this would be excusable. At $50, you should be able to find grass in the tee box and not have to rent a Jeep Wrangler to drive on the cart path.
