Unless you have a perfect child, don't consider this school....you will find only misery, lack of understanding and punishment. Your child will shut down and eventually fail. I've been trying to schedule time off for my 2 girls. I wanted to take them to Disney in April but…read moreI needed to schedule the time share I was buying with in a few weeks so I called the school a few times and after the 3rd or 4th time somebody finally called me back and I didn't get nowhere with her so she said the principal would call me....she never did. Now it's past the time I had to schedule the vacation in April so now I have to goto Disney in the summer time when it's even more crowded and I don't get to escape this brutal Pennsylvania cold weather. While the principal wasn't calling me back I guess she was talking to my kids mother and she told her, according to the kids mother that the kids are only allowed to have 10 unexcused absences for 5 years. I never heard of such a thing, so the option of just taking them without the permission was out the window due to the scare fracture they put on the mother.

I'm doing right now. My daughter paid for my granddaughter to have lunch pizza and was not given lunch that day It really doesn't make sense when you have about five kids sitting at a table and not one teacher notices that one student is not eating. My daughter was also told that we were understaffed. Because her regular teacher left her employee on Friday August 16, 2024 This is totally unacceptable, and we will be reporting it as well to the state under the guidelines of nutrition Really does not make sense that a table of 5 not one teacher sees someone is not eating anything!

The certification isn't worth anything because of the "pay and you get papers" reputation of the place. When I went we had people coming in without any of the work done, openly cheating during testing, eating their lunches in the classrooms. Even one teacher who spent most of the time talking about getting a boob job. I spent lots of money to be put in a class full of racist people that didn't care what happened to their Pell grant just to get sub par training that was mostly outdated or unneeded once I went out to the field. Within 6 months of landing my job I had to retake most of my classes at "a real training program" as my boss said. Looks like it's still the same thing years later.

The scariest thing I've ever done is move from out of state & choose a day care facility w/o…read morevisiting it at all. After calling tons of centers, I gave this one a try. My conversations with Mr. Mike & Ms. Christa alone made my choice & they have certainly lived up to my expectations. They have gone above & beyond to help accommodate me & my children in every way imaginable. They are very knowledgeable about how to get involved in services like speech therapy & are never too busy to answer a question. Conversations aren't formal & PC, but friendly and inviting. I often feel guilty about the long hours my children have to spend at the facility b/c of the distance I travel to work. But, the fact that they have so much fun they often aren't ready to leave when I get there, helps ease those feelings. I have been to several daycares & it really doesn't matter how brand-spanking new or state of the art the facility is, if the relationships aren't there. My children leave Almost Home each day hugging their teachers & friends, w/smiles on their faces. That feeling of contentment is the best compliment a parent can give any teacher/facility. They definitely live up to their name.
