He also says he's "not trying to be a block to treatment", for instance if you suggest a treatment that isn't his first line, he'll explain to you why he thinks there is a better option to try first. But if appropriate, he'll let you have input in regards to your own care. He also does a great job of trying to help you select options that save you money, and doesn't run unnecessary tests or prescribe unnecessary meds if there are other options that are cheaper. My wife and I have both been to him multiple times and we remain satisfied with our doctor. We also have no problems getting appointments and they'll even work you in on a walk-in if needed.

My son injured his back after a fall 3 years ago. We were so excited about finally getting to meet with a pain management Dr. yesterday. Finally to hopefully have an injection or something in his back to give him some relief. From the moment Dr. Weilert walked into the room to meet us he was rude and arrogant. He berated my son for how high my son said his pain level was. A person can only compare their pain level to the other pain they have experienced in their own life. This Dr. went on about this for several minutes. The appointment, because of this Dr. was awful. I nearly stood up and told him what he could do with his attitude and left, but it wasn't my appointment. If I had known my son felt the same way I would have. We kept our cool and were cordial during the appointment, unlike the angry, arrogant man we met with. I say "we" during this post because I have attended all of my sons appointments with him. When you are discussing your spine or spinal surgery that is a very serious thing. Everyone else we had met with along the way was amazing, kind and professional. I brought up four issues in one appointment and Dr Bracey dealt with all of them. Compare this experience to a recent visit that I had at a different practice where the provider was an hour late to the appointment, did not resolve my concern, and only let me address one complaint because it was "only a 15 minute appointment."
