My son (6 years old) is in the Warrior Jr. Program (for 6-7 y.o.'s). He joined about 3 months ago and it has been everything we hoped for. We wanted him to learn how to protect himself and general self respect. We also were hoping it would help to instill life lessons/conversations that we have at home but, of course, helps to hear from someone other than mom and dad. This program does all of that and more! Teacher Randall has been an amazing addition to my sons life. He is the definition of a mentor/sensei. The way he connects with all the kids, is truly invested in helping them learn and grow, and seamlessly can run a class with all levels of focus from all different types of kids is amazing. The class assistant teachers are great too. It's cool to see them grow, as well. Dezmond is now a yellow belt (level 3). He's gotten more focused in class and at home. Also, he's gotten a lot better at speaking to his emotions through this. It's almost like the class is bringing him a lot of clarity on "life." Dezmond also gets to assistant teach the Little Warrior group - which he absolutely loves. I HIGHLY recommended Aim High.

But going through the color belt ranks, I did have other adults and teenagers to look up to. I made it to first-degree black belt... and then I kept going. I just tested for my fourth degree. Being a martial artist is a journey and there is always more to learn. I'm impressed that our black belt class keeps growing. We haven't had this many before and that is very encouraging to see. Being a black belt isn't easy, nor should it be. The expectations are high; so are mine of myself. I'm always finding ways to incorporate the life skills and black belt attitude into my personal and professional life. Heck, I'd say I've learned more about leadership in black belt class that I have in formal classes. I can only echo what other parents have said. I'll be bringing my kids here for martial arts training when they are old enough.

They did not care if he goofed off in class or not. There was little instruction past the forms. I was disappointed and thought I would never find the right place. Karate for Kids is way different. They care about what the kids learn and carry with them for life. It is much more than teaching moves. They teach self-disciple, respect, focus and instill the true reason for martial arts (self-defense only.) My oldest was getting bullied in school by several kids. Karate for Kids run a free "Bully Proof" seminar every so often on Saturdays. All kids and their parents are invited. I was skeptical at first, but took my kid. He applied things he learned in this class. Soon after the kids stopped picking on him. In fact, one of the kids became friendly towards him. This is all because Karate for Kids cares. You won't find a better Taekwondo school for kids. I would give them more than five stars if I could. Try them out. You'll be glad you did.

Paul Keller, the owner, and all of the Sensei's, are extremely compassionate and dedicated to every student. They have a wonderfully thought out program for kids, that encourages the students to do their best, not only at the dojo, but also within their school, community and home life. Students can earn "Victory" patches to sew on their Gi(uniform), by completing school homework, reading, helping out at home, practicing karate outside of the dojo, doing good deeds in the community, sponsoring another student, etc. My daughter enjoys her karate training, and her dedication to it, has greatly improved her home, school, and other extracurricular activities. I've watched her become more focused, grounded, determined and a better listener. My 3 year old son, is so excited to start his karate training when he turns 4. He loves watching his sissy in class and being at the dojo. Not only do they offer karate classes for the whole family, they also offer Tai Chi, Women's Self Defense, Mixed Martial Arts and Mat Pilates classes. I take Pilates here twice a week from a phenomenal teacher, Alli Breen, a classically trained Pilates instructor. I cannot praise her enough and her dedication to the art of Pilates! We are truly blessed to have such a phenomenal school in our community!
