Jeff is an excellent guide and picked us up at our hotel. We were able to see Latourell, Multnomah, and Wakheena waterfalls; Bonneville Dam; and various scenic viewpoints. He provided interesting information and stories about the various points of interest, complete with visuals that we passed around in the shuttle. It was a great time and an efficient way to spend a morning if you're only visiting Portland for a few days and don't have a rental car.

The stretch overlooking Willamette Falls near the VFW parking lot is my favorite, boasting stunning views of Willamette Falls. In addition, the pollinator garden with lavender, poppies and other colorful flowers makes my heart skip a beat in the spring and early summer months. There's no better site in town for an impromptu picnic or an afternoon stroll.

Absolute best tour company to go with if you want to see Oregon coast and waterfalls…read more Booking online was easy and they answered plenty of my questions via phone/Ms. Cheyenne was awesome with being so kind and pleasant to speak with. The prices for the waterfalls and Oregon coast tours were so reasonable. On Memorial Day 2025, I went on the Oregon Coast tour. Initially, the weather was overcast skies and we ran into light rain on the way, but it cleared up nicely. I surprisingly met fellow Texans on the tour with me, they were from my favorite part of TX too (West). We instantly connected when I told them I used to live in Lubbock and was a Red Raider! The other people on the tour was delightful too. For our first tour, we had guide, David. David was very knowledgeable about the trees. He talked about them a lot. He knew small details about the flowers, history of the roads, the state park, and just about everything, but especially trees. I almost thought he got a degree in Forestry to be that keen in the subject. David gave ample amount of time to shop/eat in Seaside, OR. I didn't eat since I had a huge breakfast and had no idea what restaurants were vegan. The following day, I went on the waterfalls tour with guide, Joe. Joe was AH-MAZING!!! He was so funny and made an accommodation to allow me to charge my phone along the way (since I did a full day of exploring Portland by foot and forgot to pack my charger). I understood my 90s references too which was cool. Joe was informative about the history, how the falls got their names, he identified goldstar lichen (even gave me the correct pronunciation of the word), and allowed plenty of time to explore. I loved how kind and helpful he was each time assisting an elderly disabled lady to and from the van. These tour guides don't have to be from Portland or even Oregon to provide a 5-star, A+, and solid in the bag tour of the most stunning attractions. I had a tour company, Sea to Summit/guide Josh (partial native Josh) tell me not to trust Wildwood for that very reason, but get this, Sea to Summit couldn't even find a party of four or more to pair me with on the waterfalls tour. They tried to contract with EcoTours with Jeff and again, not even was he able to get people to go. They kept telling me to wait and call back in five days, but they never had anything! Now what does that tell you?! Trust Wildwood Adventures, you won't be disappointed and you'll get your monies worth! As a solo traveler, I felt safe, comfortable, and enjoyed myself immensely. I met friends on this tour (that I spotted yesterday at Pittock Mansion; they called me by name). Thank you Wildwood Adventures for being so dependable!!

As a new-ish fly fisherman myself, it helped so much to ask him all my questions and get valuable insights about my home waters here near Portland. He taught me how to spey cast, which was great because I no longer have to worry about getting snagged on my backcast and spent more time fishing instead of untangling or rerigging. One other thing I appreciate about Bryan is his genuine love and concern for the environment. He often picked up trash from other fishers as we visited various spots along the river. Beautiful trail through nature anytime of the year, but absolutely stellar mid to late April and…read moreMay when the field's namesake, the blue camas, are in bloom and and along with other wildflowers, blanket the fields I'm soft shades of blue, pink, purple and yellow. It's spectacular! There are lots of other wildflowers, too, so keep your eyes out for the many tiny varieties. There's pink sea blush, western yellow buttercup, Oregon grape, pink purslane, trillium (even plum colored ones,) saxifrages and more. I even spotted a handful of white camas amongst the thousands of blue. It's a gorgeous walk, immersed in nature, with birds chirping, bees doing their pollinating thing, butterflies, squirrels, hummingbirds, and even turkey vultures flying above. There are also osprey. Its's an easy trail, .8 miles if you stay in the main loop. With just slight elevation in a few places and sometimes narrow areas, the vast majority of people, including kids, will find it an easy, pleasant walk. The trail itself is dirt and wood chips, and definitely some rocks and basalt in places, with wooden planks guiding you through the pastel wildflower prairies. However, if you require a cane or walker, this trail can be challenging in some parts. I'm using a cane due to labral tear, and the few places where there were slightly steep rocky paths, I waited until a passerby came by and asked for assistance. Fortunately fellow hikers were kind and happy to lend a hand or shoulder. There was a group of four with walkers and canes and they only made it a third of the way and had to turn back. In some parts the path is too narrow or too steep for a walker. The nature reserve is at the end of a neighborhood street so on a weekend in April or May when wildflowers are in bloom, parking is challenging. Definitely go on a weekday if your schedule permits. There is a porta potty on site. And a volunteer on the path should you have any questions about the wildlife and plants you encounter. Dogs are not allowed.
