However, if someone parks in your tenant spot, you are expected to park off site and call By Law yourself. If you park in a different spot (visitor spot or tenant spot) you very likely will end up with a ticket of your own. The building is fine but it is clear that the property managers do not care about keeping tenants even remotely happy. We moved in last June (to a brand new building) and the apartment had not been cleaned- there was glass on the balcony and the apartment was not painted etc.. We did not have anybody in to paint etc. until November. Anytime you contact the superintendent or property manager, they send you a portion of your lease as a response. A friend's car was damaged due to a broken drain in the parking lot, and the response I received was my lease agreement stating they are not responsible for damaged property. They will not go above and beyond, they will not remotely pretend that they want anything but to make money from you. Do not pay a high premium for terrible service.

I replied to an ad on Kijiji for an apartment in Cornwall, Ontario that was managed by this…read morecompany. The ad asked for someone to sublet for the remainder of his lease. Upon visiting the apartment and liking it I went with the tenant to the complex office and filled out some paperwork to get a credit check. They requested a security deposit to open the file and if I was accepted I would have to pay the remained, which would be the first months rent. A week goes by and I finally get a call from the property manager saying I wasn't approved as I did not pass the credit check. I asked to pick up my security deposit (it was a Friday) and was told to pick it up the following Monday. I told the current apartment renter that I was not approved and he would have to find someone else. Upon calling to confirm the property manager was in office the following Monday, I am told that the tenant in the apartment has co-signed for me and I am stuck with the apartment. I am told I must pay the first months rent and take the apartment or forfeit my security deposit. This seems fishy to me so I ask to speak to his manager he gives me a number, she tells me that I am liable no if's and's or but's. She told me that as long as someone cosigned (even without my knowledge) and it was approved I am liable. I ask to speak someone in charge at their head office in Guelph and the woman on the phone gives me a disconnected number. I sent an email to the email listed on their website and 2 days later get a call from the very same woman saying that her head office kicked the problem down to her and that there was no way I was going to go "over her head". There was no way I could have taken the apartment, when they called and declined me I had taken another apartment several blocks away that weekend as I needed a place to stay. I had put down my security deposit there and was relying on getting my security deposit back from Skyline to pay my first months rent. When I told this to the woman on the phone she said she didn't care. She told me there was no possible way I was getting my money back, as long as someone co-signed for me (even some random stranger who just wanted to get rid of his apartment) then it was now my problem. The end result being I had no apartment and went to live with my parents for several months to get back on my feet. Very untrustworthy company, very rude and vulgar customer service skills and management. Would not recommend doing business with this company.

Terribly managed with little notice for changes and renovations, and they will not compensate you via rent reductions for taking away your balcony by boarding up the doors. Car owners have had falling paint stain their cars to be fixed at THEIR OWN EXPENSE. You will frequently lose access to the laundry room and even the elevators. Renovations are important in buildings for safety and property value, but you as the tenant here will lose functionality/access to guarantees you have in your lease with no recourse. Ever seen the movie Joe's Apartment? Fire alarms go off all the time here because other tenants open the doors to their apartment when cooking instead of opening the balcony doors, they set off the hall alarms. Fire department is super pissed every time they get called out. Finally, be ready for water shut offs at least once a month, the month I moved in there was about 6 shut offs... Literally the only good thing about this place is it's pet friendly....I guess maybe that's why the cockroaches are here?
