This is a big neighborhood park, mostly open but with a few big shade trees, some picnic tables, etc. Park along the street, or do what we did and circle the block to park in the elementary school lot. Which gets you close to why we were really here: the playground. Open to the park, it is huge, and Baby K loved it. A small-kid area, plus a bigger all-ages one. Two huge slides plus several smaller ones. Swings, tables, musical area, etc. Plus hopscotch and other stuff on the paved area beside it. Nice sorta-rubberized mulch on the surface, so easy on the knees if there's a fall. Lots of things to climb and play with. Definitely a favorite. So, a good park to play, walk your dog, eat lunch, whatever, right next to a great playground.
Lots of geese, so watch for poop. No shade at the playground, but it was a cloudy day. The one slide is super fast, so be aware. read more
