They replaced the spark plugs, but during that process they damaged the valve covers. About 10 months later, the damage led to an oil leak. I had my trusted mechanic downstate look at it, and he told me the valve covers had clearly been damaged during that original service and recommended I request a refund. April 2026: I returned to the shop and showed the owner, Diana, the faulty parts. At that time, she acknowledged the issue and said she believed we deserved some money back for the mistake. May 2026: When we followed up, we spoke with Pat (the owner), and the conversation went completely differently. Pat immediately became confrontational and started yelling, saying he "don't give refund checks." Instead, he expected us to drive the truck 250 miles--while it's leaking oil--so he could fix the problem he created himself. The attitude and lack of professionalism were honestly shocking. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them matters. Between the poor workmanship and the way we were treated afterward, I would not recommend this shop.

Even though they didn't have the part in stock (supply chain issues - not on them) I was still able to get the vehicle back well under the original 2-week estimate for getting it into the shop. She asked if they could fix it and he looked at her like she was stupid. Told her No.. they were 6-8 weeks out on service and to take it to a local dealership since we live two hours south. I called our nearest dealership and they said no problem and got here in three days later and fixed on the next day. Maybe if you're so far behind on service you need to be open a few more hours to catch up. Just saying, think twice about purchasing your vehicle here. We were unable to obtain service on our transmission from Serra Ford in Gaylord for over 9 months, so we were told to go to Feeny Ford. They kept rescheduling us three times with the same excuses as Serra Ford... no techs available. April 22, 2026 we were told by Henry that he needed to order parts and rescheduled for May. He was given at that time all repair insurance documents to cover the repair. We take it back May 27, 2026 for the repair and suddenly Henry tells us he never tore it down in April to confirm the problems, never verified that our insurance would be covered and now says it's not covered and we have to pay $557 to put the truck back together or pay for a new transmission. We're retired and cannot afford either. That's why we were paying for an extended repair insurance. The invoice has no breakdown of what was done for $557 and we had to find a way to pay it just to get our truck back. As my husband was leaving, Henry made a snide comment about the repair insurance we have and told my husband to "fu..k off" and then came after him to start a fist fight! My husband is 68 and was just trying to get out of there. This man should never be in a customer service position and both Serra and Feeny should be ashamed by the way they treat customers. Now we are in debt for nearly $600 and still have a bad transmission.

I called ahead after finding Upper Lakes' info and explained my situation to the gentleman who answered. He told me to keep driving and he would hold some of his crew past closing time (if needed) to make sure we wouldn't be stranded. As promised, when I pulled up, he and 3 other guys were waiting. They promptly pulled my tire off to start inspecting it for leaks while also checking all of the other tires. A faulty valve stem was discovered and everything was broken down and repaired in a short amount of time. All the while, the whole crew chatted with my 2 toddlers who had already had enough car seat time at that point. Soon, we were back in the truck and headed North. The guys at Upper Lakes have my greatest appreciation and thanks. If they treat a pass through customer this way, I can only imagine the service provided to their routine customers! Thank you again!

Asked if he could take the truck for a short drive, and off he went. Returned in a few minutes with everything fixed. Deweys is the best repair shop in Roscommon, and have always exceeded my expectations. Their repair costs are very reasonable and they can usually get your car or truck in for repair quickly. Expect some delays in the summer, because they are busy.
