All the nurses that were assigned to me were so sweet and supportive i could tell they love what they do. They took care of my baby during postpartum and made sure that we were okay. The food was amazing too lol i was surprised about that i always just assumed hospital food was nasty but their breakfast lunch and dinner were soooo yummy! I would give 5 stars but i didnt only because they apparently lost the clothes i arrived at the hospital in. I voiced this concern to one of the nurses and she said it was nowhere to be found. I just thought that was irritating because it was my favorite articles of clothing :/

Staff was friendly at the check in counter, and I did not have to wait too long to get signed in. I had already spent 50 minutes on the phone for the preoperative interview. The preparation for my surgery didn't take too long either. The nursing staff was very friendly and professional. The Anestesia Doctor did his job, but he was not extremely personable. To him, I was just a number. However, my Doctor Karen Buhariwalla was amazing. She explained what would happen in the upcoming procedure, and made small talk to make me feel confident, and relaxed. After the surgery the dismissal process was easy. Noone wants to have anything to do with a hospital, but if I ever have to, I would chose this one.

The nursing staff in the Green Tower, and now twice in the Blue Tower, THANK YOU!!! You all provide exceptional care! Her quality of care is the reason she was able to get discharged after a few days. People have their complaints about wait times. Anguish or a loved one is hurting. The list goes on. However, it's taking a little bit to get a room ready because someone back there is being intubated at the very moment you are complaining, someone is having their first stroke, or someone has just passed away. The people I just mentioned come first. Those are true emergencies. The ones bashing Wellstar Kennestone, it's not that you aren't cared for. They are working as fast and as hard as they can.

It was a Sunday followed by Memorial Day, so we pretty much sat for two days waiting until everyone returned from the weekend. Tuesday after the holiday, a doctor was assigned to us and the testing started. The doctor that was assigned to my wife was very knowledgeable and ordered test after test and scan after scan. Everything came back normal, but one test showed something that eventually became a the root cause. I grew up with a sickly mother and I know bad healthcare when I see it and this hospital was nothing but caring and compassionate throughout the entire 6-day ordeal. Several of the nurses were exemplary and the doctor was just super. We could not have asked for a better experience given the unpleasant circumstances. If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would.

My only complaint would be the lax way they enforce their smoking policy. There's someone smoking right outside the ER entrance. You have to walk through that noxious cloud to get in the door. I would like to sit outside at the picnic table but there is too much cigarette smoke stinking up the place. There's very visible signage out there but no enforcement.

This past weekend I had a cardiac event and went to Emory John's Creek. There was no wait time in the ER. The care was outstanding. The technology? Mind blowing. A beautiful physical plant. Wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff - everyone seems to care. I had a CT scan, echocardiogram, MRI, and lots of bloodwork. I could not ask for better care. We live 20 miles away but from now on this is our hospital.

Checked in, and was called to be seen less than 2 minutes later. After labs, and questions, they took me straight to room for tests. All staff was very friendly. After tests, they took me to room in decision area. Very clean, with nice rooms. My nurse, Kim, was likely the nicest I've ever met. Waiting for testing is no issue. Waiting for a doctor? Different story. Still waiting to be informed, then discharged, 3 hours. All that said; I'd still recommend this place.

Without going into too much detail, my takeaway is from the visit. They practice sedating clients…read morewithout really actively treating them for my friend who presented with high blood pressure. There was no monitoring throughout the night - only taken during triage, once before discharge... SERIOUSLY??!! Fire someone in the 180's - 200's, one would absolutely expect consistent monitoring, via machine or human. They hung a saline bag, never used. I actually had to advocate on her behalf to keep them from unnecessary blood draws. We will most certainly be examining the bill, once it arrives!! At the slightest hint that they realized I was not going to let them run unnecessarily tests on her, they backed off and quickly discharged her. This is definitely not a hospital I would recommend for anyone with any high blood pressure or cardiac conditions! Am I doctor, no. Have I cared for ailing parents and experienced this type of bill padding - YES!
