Now I get my hair cut there and get a great cut too. She notices how my hair as changed too and altered my style as needed. So what if the cuts aren't the cheapest kid's cuts in town! You get what you pay for. You're paying for experienced stylists who know and love kids and are able to give them great styles/cuts. I'd rather pay a few dollars more so my son gets a great hair cut. Also, they will wash hair if you request it. Their haircuts are a great value. Also, I've never had a problem with the place being dirty or messy. The movies and treat at the end are great for the kids!

However, after she had already cut him, I politely asked if I could quickly see the buzzer that was used just to make sure it looked clean and not rusty so I could decide if I needed to have his pediatrician check the cut. Instead of understanding my concern as a parent, she became extremely defensive and began raising her voice at me in front of my 3-year-old and 1-year-old, saying "Why would you think I would ever use rusty buzzers?!" and shoving the cleaner toward me. I calmly explained multiple times that I wasn't blaming her for the accident and was simply making sure my child was okay, but she continued escalating the situation. It became so uncomfortable that the other stylists working disappeared into the back room while this was happening. The accidental cut was not the issue -- the way a simple parental concern was handled after my child was already injured was completely unacceptable.

Haircuts are very reasonably priced at $19 for a men's haircut, and includes a nice warm shave for the sideburns and upper neck. The two are always pleasant, always lively, and always professional. I would highly recommend Billy G's over any of the chain stores popping up nearby that cycle through new barbers every other month. Note: they're constantly busy, so it would be best to make a reservation. Even with a reservation sometimes you might have to wait 10-15 minutes, but the quality is certainly worth it.

My 4 year old is a certified Haircut Hater. No rhyme or reason to it - he just hates getting his hair cut. I was at my wits end with it when someone suggested Jennifer to me - she squeezed us in after hours and it was absolutely a whole new ballgame for us. A small, intimate space with just her - she takes a very relaxed, child-led approach and takes her cues from them. She had a phone consultation with me beforehand and then when I brought him in, she just immediately put him at ease. Super laid back and just radiates kindness. Let him walk around, chat about why he didn't like getting his hair cut, let him hold the clippers, even let him try them out on himself (since he was getting a buzz anyways, why not?) Completely different experience than dragging him to a kids haircut place kicking and screaming and having them roll their eyes and try and bribe him to sit still with a balloon. I asked her to leave his sideburns, she cut them anyway. After she cut one side, it was too late for me to address it again, so she cut the other side. Uneven-so I brought it to her attention. Too late to do anything so I just let her do her thing. She buzzed the side of his hair and he looks like the hair is receding there. The Final Cut was uneven and even now that it's grown out-you can tell how badly his hair was cut. Looks like someone took a machete to his hair. It looks so choppy. I'm so disappointed. I'll have to try another location. Definitely would not recommend
