I highly recommend Dr.Comeau and his staff and miss them all so much! The saying "you don't know…read morewhat you've got until it's gone" i can seriously say is true! When we lived in NH, Queen City AH was our vet for many years, actually ever since Dr. Comeau took the business over from the original owner. Now in Florida and the vets here dont compare, not even close. We had a goofy but extremely loveable Blue Nose Pitbull named Bullet and I remember Dt. Comeau loved to see him and he would grab his big jaws saying how much he loved him, he cared for him successfully through heartworm which was a very scary treatment and because of Bully's compromised immune system took the time to research everything to make sure it worked to cure him, he also had to deal with Bullys skin condition due to allergies which we never really got a grip on because we ended up moving to Florida and these Vets here are a dime-a-dozen and severely inexperienced with lack of empathy it seems to me anyway for the animals they "try" to treat! About a month ago Bullet was brought into a Clinic here for what seemed like was possibly a respiratory infection but also had a distended abdomen as well a lot of swelling, he wasn't eating hardly and was a bit lethargic, which we related to the possible infection but that dog always took whatever life handed him with his tail still wagging constantly! ... I won't name because it would take away from this great facilities review, (although I'd like to as to save the next persons pet from them) after X-rays and bloodwork which ruled out Melenoma the almost 1yr experienced Vet said nothing alarming to see gave antibiotics and steroids and sent him on his way, he wasn't getting better after a few days and also was now throwing up clear foamy liquid and bile so we brought him back in after the 2nd day she got an opinion from her colleagues most with same little experience as her, now her diagnosis was "Bullet has cancer, but I don't know where it's coming from." and "he only has a few days to live" which was the ONLY thing she was right about sadly 4 weeks ago he lost the fight that he every time under Dr. Comeaus care was able to come out the Champion. He passed away suddenly at home on my bedroom floor let's say you can never prepare yourself for that! I know this is a lot of info for a review but the sad outcome, and hope that Dr. Comeau may read this review to inform him of Bullet passing away, I know how much he loved Bully and also for the review I know under Dr. Comeaus care would NEVER had happened as it did, and I just want to say thank you Dr. Comeau especially, and his Staff, for caring for Bully with so much professionalism and love and we will never find another like you believe me! Anyone reading this review if you could make it through the book that is lol, you have no worries when it comes to this Veterinarian Dr. Comeau is the BEST hands down! Thank you again for taking care of Bullet and Ruby we appreciate and miss you all!

I have avoided writing this review for years because the experience is still painful to think…read moreabout, but I feel it's important to share. Years ago, my dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur by Dr. Corinne Lemay. As many pet owners know, a murmur can be an early warning sign of heart disease, and early referral to a cardiologist can make a meaningful difference. Unfortunately, Dr. Lemay never recommended a cardiology referral at that stage. Instead, we waited until my dog was already in heart failure before a referral was finally made; long after she could have been evaluated for early-intervention medications that might have helped delay the progression. Throughout the months that followed, I often felt dismissed when I asked questions or expressed concerns. Any time I asked something heart-related, I was met with, "I'm not a vet cardiologist, so I cannot answer your heart questions," delivered in a tone that made me reluctant to ask anything further. Because of that, during appointments I only brought up issues unrelated to her heart; not because I was in denial, but because I was trying to respect the boundaries she set. One appointment stands out clearly: I brought my dog in because I suspected an upper respiratory issue (she was later diagnosed with asthma). Dr. Lemay looked at me and said, "You know what I think? I think you're in denial that your dog is in heart failure." It was one of the most hurtful comments I have ever heard from a veterinarian. I was not in denial, I was living in constant panic, managing an exhaustive medication regimen (Flovent inhaler, Hydrocodone, Prednisone, nausea meds, Torsemide, Sildenafil, Spironolactone, Benazepril, Vetmedin, vitamins, and more), monitoring her symptoms 24/7, and doing everything in my power to keep her comfortable. I rarely slept. I never left her alone. I even risked my job once by bringing her to work because I refused to let her struggle without me. The suggestion that I was somehow ignoring her condition was not only inaccurate, it was cruel. That comment, combined with the lack of early referral and the overall dismissiveness, was the moment I knew I could no longer bring my dog back to Manchester Animal Hospital. I needed compassionate, proactive care, and unfortunately, I did not receive that here. I wish I could write a different review. I wish this experience had been supportive, collaborative, and respectful. But it wasn't, and sharing this is the only way I can help other pet owners advocate for their companions.

Rosie was our first female dog and second family dog. Our first dog Napa was put to sleep and crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the Veterinary office on Christmas Eve. He collapsed at home that morning. I brought him to the vet to find he was ridden with cancer. We were told the chances of him surviving the needed blood transfusion were low due to his quality of life including his age and cancer diagnosis. I called my husband who arrived with our three young daughters, all of them crying hysterically as they entered the veterinarian office to say goodbye to the dog that was with them all when they were born and brought them unconditional love, loyalty, laughter and joy for 11 years. On Thanksgiving morning Rosie's distress was evident making it so difficult for us to enjoy the holiday worrying about her. The following morning, she was much worse, so I brought her to the vet. The radiographs showed her lungs were filled with cancer and fluid. Rosie was suffering and it was time to relieve her pain. The vet knew we had little time left with Rosie. We were given the option to bring her home to say our goodbyes or have her put to sleep at the moment. I brought her home to spend the weekend with her (Friday-Sunday) and made an appointment with Lap of Love to come to our house on Sunday. I had several home euthananasia referrals from the veterinarian, yet there was little availability during Thanksgiving weekend. Lap of Love, Merrimack Valley, NH was highly recommended and had available vets and appointments available each day. She was home with us Friday afternoon. I made an appointment for Sunday to enjoy our last weekend spoiling and loving her. Yet, unfortunately, Rosie's respiratory rate was triple and her struggle was unbearable. Desperate, I called back that afternoon (Friday, same day as vet appointment) and asked Lap of Love if they had appointments the following morning. Yes, they had availability in the morning and afternoon. Out of compassion, we chose the morning, unable to watch her suffer any longer. Dr. Caroline, Lap of Love, veterinarian was full of compassion and professionalism with our beloved Rosie and our family. She explained what would happen and referred to the euthanasia medicine as "angel juice" which was compassionate and comforting for our aching hearts. The quality of care began from the moment we called Lap of Love and talked to the phone administrative assistants. I called several times and each person was full of compassion as I struggled to speak, while I was crying. Prior to Dr. Caroline's arrival, moments after making the appointment, Lap of Love emailed us grieving resources including a pet grieving support group, and literature explaining how Rosie and our other dogs will experience her loss. They also told me I could call them if I needed to talk to someone who could help us with the anxiety, sadness, and devastating feelings associated with losing our beautiful Rosie, who was part of our family. Rosie was given a sedating medicine and Dr. Caroline told us to take as much time as we needed before she would receive the "angel juice". When we were ready, she gently gave her the juice, and we comforted Rosie as she quietly crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Caroline then went to her car to give us time to grieve. When we were ready she told us to let her know. We helped bring in the stretcher, and gently slid Rosie onto it. Dr. Caroline placed a beautiful blanket on Rosie and gently strapped her to the stretcher. We helped put her in Dr.Caroline's car. The stretcher had wheels ensuring it was a gentle and loving experience. I am grateful that we were able to have Rosie cross the Rainbow Bridge in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving human and dog family. She was such a happy, energetic, silly, devoted, loyal and gentle soul who brought so much love and joy to our life. Rosie is now an angel with our dog Napa and all of the beloved pets that we have loved throughout our lives. I thought it would be difficult watching her pass at home, yet the experience of at home euthanasia provided Rosie peace and comfort unlike going to the veterinarian office which is often stressful for dogs. It's only been a few weeks, and I miss her terribly. Yet, it brings me comfort knowing we gave Rosie the best option for a peaceful passing in the comfort of her dog family and humans at home. Lastly, my memory of the experience is peaceful and not traumatic knowing it was compassionate for all of us saying goodbye to our "Queen" in the comfort of home.

They were also very caring and concerned about my needs as well as my cats needs. I then needed to use this regular vet service because I was thinking my cat had allergy problems while the day before my visit was scheduled. Something had happened to his back end where he was limping. They still took him in under the appointment that I had booked for his allergies. I had a first thing in the morning appointment and they were very busy even at that point I waited about a half hour after my appointment before the vet tech came in. She did some ear swabs to check for an allergy or to check for an infection and then I waited an additional 20 minutes before the results could come back andthe vet to come in the room both Treated me with care and compassion as well as they did my cat they gave me some medication's, They talked me through the treatment plan what they thought it might be. They told me that my cat did have a heart murmur which was new to me and they recommended an echocardiogram which cost around $500.Dollars. I'm willing to go ahead and do that. To provide the proper care that my cat will need moving forward with his life he is only four years old. I did ask about an x-ray for his back area due to the limping. The doctor said I could if I wanted to pay the $250 but she felt that it wasn't necessary. Let's work with the medication's first and then we'll go ahead and do the x-ray if need be and I was OK with that. She said if the injury was very severe, he wouldn't have intermediate limping he would be lame and not moving and intolerable to discomfort. So, with all this being said, I did need to make some phone calls to the vet once I started the medication and to talk over some things that I had questions about after the visit and all of my phone calls were returned and they were all met with my satisfaction and my cats. He's doing much better. We just have to run the course of the medication. I hope that anybody else who uses this veterinarian service has the same encounter me, and my handsome fella have had

My sweet ringneck dove, Peppermint, was injured and starting to show signs of an infection, and I was absolutely terrified. Birds are so delicate and incredibly good at hiding illness until it's too late, so I immediately started calling around trying to find a vet who would even see a bird. Most clinics don't, but thankfully, Bedford Pet Urgent Care told me they could see her the very same day. From the moment we arrived, I felt so reassured. The receptionist was incredibly kind. When I needed to step away to use the restroom while waiting to see the vet, she offered to have Peppermint stay with her at the front desk and interacted with her so sweetly. That level of compassion meant so much to me. The vet we saw, Dr. Penraat, was absolutely wonderful. He handled Peppermint with such gentleness and care that she immediately trusted him (so much so that she happily perched on his head after the exam to show her affection). Watching how calm and comfortable she was with him truly spoke volumes. Dr. Penraat quickly identified the issue and prescribed effective medication, which worked amazingly well. Peppermint was noticeably better in less than a week. I was beyond relieved and so grateful for the excellent care she received. To my fellow bird owners in New Hampshire: I highly recommend them. This was hands down the best veterinary experience I've ever had. Finding a vet who is knowledgeable, comforting, and genuinely caring with birds is so rare, and Dr. Penraat is truly exceptional. He is friendly, thorough, and makes both pets and owners feel completely at ease. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my sweet bird. That being said.... I met Susan with Peesh's pets only a few weeks ago. I needed a change in pet care as I wanted someone that this was their only job, not someone doing this as a part time gig... Well I found it! Susan is the owner/operator and is extremely dedicated to her business and LOVES animals. So my story, I was out of town for literally a 12 day work meeting. I received multiple daily updates and one of the updates from Susan came in saying that my dog was showing a bump on his back hip area. We decided she would watch it but I would make a vet appt for my day of return. The day of me arriving home I received a message that she was going to take my dog to the ER and I agreed, the bump had doubled in size. Long story short my flight was delayed multiple times and I did not get here in time for while my dog was at the ER, she got him home about 1:30 in the morning and STAYED with him until I got in at 6:00am!!! She would not leave him alone after what he had been through. Preliminary diagnosis is cancer, and Susan is the one that had to tell me the news. I can't imagine how that was for her as I broke down. She would not accept any further compensation for what she did for me. This goes beyond being a "pet sitter". She is a part of our lives, she has a care and love for what she does that goes beyond anything I could of imagined.
