What was delivered was a pretty pathetic bunch of flowers in a vase. my daughter was told that they had no baskets so sent bouquet instead, but nobody contacted me to advise of this change. When i saw the flowers , i was so upset i couldn't even phone straightaway to complain. The flowers hadn't even been arranged properly in the vase and there was a very untidy ribbon. I contacted the shop after a couple of days to express my disappointment and eventually she offered to send them again once she had the baskets- though she even asked if she could have the vase back !- That was over 4 weeks ago and nothing has happened . Very disappointed in both the product and the service at what was supposed to be a special time . Date of experience: May 23, 2024 update 19/7/24 last spoke 15/6/24 still no flower arrangement received and no apology.

Disgusted by the behaviour of this woman! She ruined the morning of my wedding and has been awful…read moresince booking her last year! She agreed to my wedding flowers and we paid her in full. She then mocked our "tiny budget" several times, demanding more money! She sent pictures of flowers that I hadn't asked for and that were the opposite of our colourscheme. Ruth only told me 5 days before the wedding that she couldn't get my main flower and that it is out of season! Something a florist should really have known and should have found a similar alternative to keep the client happy! On the morning of the wedding she turned up with 6 buttonholes instead of 8. Our venue dresser had to call her to return and when she did, the 2 extra buttonholes were not bound with ribbon and one snapped! My bouquet she did not deliver to me and instead left it unattended on a table in the bar. The bouquet was not as discussed and agreed - it was meant to have big headed roses, blue thistles and ivy - all of which were non existent! She was meant to do 2 jars of forget me nots which she said she could get in July and again, these were non existent! Pretty upsetting considering these were for a memory ladder of family members and she knew the sentimental value of these. Jars were meant to be placed up the aisle on chairs and instead she claimed she did not know where they were to be put despite me telling her several times! My Dad and venue dresser ended up snipping spikey bits off my bouquet, re binding the ribbon that was unfinished and frayed as well as adding artificial ivy to it! A job they shouldn't have had to do! Since the wedding, I messaged Ruth asking for a partial refund to cover the costs of the incorrect flowers and those that were missing as we did not receive the goods we had paid for. Instead of rectifying the issue, like any other business would, I got abusive and aggressive messages back - calling me a "nightmare" and wishing ill health upon my marriage, saying it'll only last 3 years!!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour from someone supposedly reputable! My sisters in law also did reviews on the experience and they also got insulting responses! Ruth has lied on many occasions - she said she wasn't in a few times we drove up to Saltburn to visit her to discuss our flowers and upon arrival to our cake lady (next door) Ruth was actually in! Avoiding us was so unprofessional. She lied again when she said she hadn't received our artificial peony vine the night before the wedding but somehow received the ribbon that was with it! She then posted a photo of the vine on my FB review - so therefore had received it and has decided to keep it for herself! An expense I won't be reimbursed for. She has claimed that I have insulted Yorkshire folk despite my best friend living in Yorkshire and me visiting often. I've had no issues with any other of our wedding suppliers and they all got raving reviews from me. Sadly Ruth cannot respond professionally when it comes to critical feedback and instead attacks in defense. Please do not make the same mistake I did and do not let this woman ruin your big day or special occasion. Go to a florist who is trustworthy, reliable and can give good customer service as this woman definitely cannot. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars as this woman does not deserve any.
