Both my younger brother and SIL are teachers here at Reseda Elementry…read more They are very passionate about teaching and luv it. For me its always fun to visit the classroom and hear the students call my bro Mr. N!! LOL. The school itself is old and a historical landmark but its still going strong. Being a teacher is hard work and very under appreciated and underpaid. Hopefully the state will stop playing with their emotions with the yearly pink slip layoff madness. Teachers often stay late after school is let out to help with their students and build a longtime relationship. The children I see here always look happy. I often see children who have moved on to highschool and college that come back to the school to see their elementary teachers as I've seen a few do this with my brother and SIL. That to me says alot about how much impact a teacher makes in a students life. All of the children I see here are always happy. The schools beliefs are: 1. That all students can learn. 2. That all students can become cooperative responsible members of society. 3. That all students can respect themselves and others. The children are in good hands here!!

If I could give this school zero stars, I would. The teachers are great, but my experience with the…read moreoffice administration--particularly the principal--has been extremely troubling. I have documented concerns involving inaccurate allegations, favoritism, unnecessary police calls, and a disruptive-parent letter that was issued even though the principal was not present on campus during the incident. During a meeting with her supervisor, the principal acknowledged that she was not on campus at the time. I also raised concerns about staff recording parents and minor children during private meetings without consent. I filed a formal complaint with the LAUSD regional office, but my request for a retraction was denied and my concerns remain unresolved. Because the administrative process failed to resolve these issues, I have pursued the matter through the civil court system and am awaiting the court's response. This review reflects my personal experience and the complaints I have formally documented.

As a first time mom I toured…read more11 daycares and interviewed 6 nannies in the area and ultimately decided to send my 5 month old to LAG with zero regrets. The teachers in the infant room were some of the most warm, welcoming, and wonderful women I know. I genuinely felt like they loved my daughter and knowing she was in such caring hands every day meant so much to me. When picking a daycare you can go somewhere that is simply just going to keep your child's needs met, or you can go somewhere that your child can actually grow. The latter is LAG. There were specific times for activities, music class, snack time, outside time, etc. Even at a young age I noticed the difference in my daughter after her being at LAG. The facility itself is so well-kept. The classrooms are clean, not overwhelming with too many toys or screens or colors, and they have a beautiful outdoor area as well. We unfortunately had to withdraw our daughter from LAG recently because we are relocating to a new area and trust me when I say it was the hardest and saddest decision to make. LAG is such a special place and we feel so lucky our daughter got to attend here.

At first, I thought the parking lot was plain, but as soon as I stepped inside, it was a whole different world! Definetly worth to visit on a tour. I absolutely loved the play yard. They have two main outdoor areas: one for the little kids and another for the older ones. Plus, they have a garden where they plant vegetables and strawberries, and there's plenty of shade everywhere. It's truly a lovely space. The outdoor play area immediately made me feel happy, and I knew this was the place I wanted my kids to be. My daughter attended from ages 2 to 4, and now my son has started at 2 years old. LAC also has an infant center, which looks wonderful! I seen parents taking off their shoes in the infant center, keeping it extra clean! Last year, they did a bunch of new updates in all classrooms and bathrooms. The classrooms are nice and well-maintained. I especially loved Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Joan, and Mrs. Shannon. And if you need anything, ask for Leilany in the office, she's super nice and always helpful. I highly recommend Little Acorns Grow to any parent looking for a nice, clean, beautiful and outdoorsy daycare!

The principle must have a personal vendetta for me and my children because in the short years that she has been there she's managed to call my daughter a liar when I told her she was being bullied she also said my daughter needed to be put in another grade level because she would develop before all the other kid's would.. excuse me why are you talking about a 7 year old developing? And the latest.. she has called social services on me ! Not kidding or exaggerating this woman actually had social services come to my house today. So apparently my son who has behavioral and psychological problems warranted social services to be called. right away I knew it was the school because no one else would ever accuse me of abusing my kids either mentally or physically or of neglect etc. I've spoken to multiple people at that school about my sons behavior and me wanting intervention or counseling yet they act like I'm being completely oblivious to the fact that he's changed since school started. I could write a book about this school and my horrid experiences.... Maybe I will. So sad that children that are actually getting abused get ignored and people like me who do nothing but love their children get accused. Wow just wow.

The school offers small class sizes and a supportive learning environment where teachers truly love what they do. They provide hands-on instruction, genuinely care about their students, and work hard to ensure every student succeeds and is prepared for college. The individualized attention each student receives is exceptional, and their main goal is that no student is left behind. Everyone at the school is welcoming, kind, and dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. My child absolutely LOVES going to school every day, which says a lot. Although VIPHS is a smaller school, students do not miss out on the traditional high school experience. The school goes above and beyond to provide fun activities, events, trips, and opportunities that create lasting memories and a strong sense of community. The only class they do not offer is PE, so it may not be the best fit for students whose primary focus is sports. Other than that, students are not missing out on anything. Thank you to everyone at VIPHS for the amazing work you do and for creating such a caring, supportive, and successful learning environment!
