I cannot recommend The Treehouse enough to families who are looking for a welcoming community and play-based learning environment.

We have been to two other daycares (which had infant rooms) and one other preschool, so we have some points of comparison. Things I really like: - management - Lois is on top of things and involved in childcare advocacy in the region. Through the pandemic, I felt confident that CDCC was managing things as well as possible. The staff was vaccinated quickly and the changes to policies (pickup/drop off, schedule, masks) all made sense. - atmosphere - the staff are consistent and friendly and my kids like them - food - it is cooked on site and pretty well balanced - playground - they go out twice a day to a nice private yard, right at the school - community - most people who attend live fairly close, which helps build community. There are some required volunteer hours, but they are not excessive. Sometimes I wish that there was more "formal enrichment" when I put on my "ambitious parent" hat, but really kids (or at least mine) are so happy with consistency, community and more play than formal learning. I think a lot of places are too academic, too early. Learning to share, do circle time, sit at a table for meals, switch activities according to a schedule etc. goes a long way towards school readiness. Music classes and swim lessons can be found elsewhere (though CDCC did them pre-pandemic and pre-renovation closure at Medgar Evers) and I'm okay with art projects that look like they were made by a toddler, rather than a pinterest pro.

Ms. Lois is the most genuine individual. She is friendly, welcoming, knows and remembers all the small details of our life, and truly cares about every child and family. We've experienced a lot of bureaucracy and felt like a dollar sign at other centers but not here. Lois bent over backwards to help us get care for a child who was temporarily staying with us when we were in a bind. The teachers all feel like family who love our kids like their own. They've been part of the neighborhood for decades, and it shows. I love that they provide home cooked meals, neighborhood walks, park and outdoor time, story time at Douglass Truth Library, swim lessons at Medgar Evers pool, and so much more. Our kids attended for 2 years before we moved, and it's still the part of Seattle I miss the most. Thank you CDCC for being such a valuable part of our children's lives!

They don't care about COVID guidelines at all, they don't give out orientation paperwork, they said they did potty training, they dont, they have a mask policy that nobody follows, they promised a lot of things upon hiring, like paid parking and tuition discounts among other things. "Well, to say the least I am very displeased with the overall experiences our family had with the horrible excuse for a childcare center you guys are running. First and foremost are the issues with licensing, my wife was never told about her STARS certifications until after her 90 days. And it turns out you have this issue with a lot of your employees? My wife was promised paid parking, 75% tuition fee discounts, and a 90 day pay raise that was never issued. Those are the issues I have regarding employment. Regarding the childcare, we were told that your daycare has lesson plans and potty training. Which you guys promised knowing that you don't offer these services. Your employees are required to wear masks yet nobody does? We started childcare with a subsidy and were never told of the steps in place to inform DCYF of our childcare changes. There are a lot of issues here that I think you should be aware of if you already aren't. We will be disputing any charges placed on us and will be forwarding this information to Mary Johnson at Constituent Relations for DCYF. Green Tree is an amazing community of families and teachers who really care about our kids. As mentioned in other reviews the teacher turnover is little to none - most teachers have known my 2yo since she was a 3mo and it shows. For my daughter, GT is her home away from home and it's because they know her so well and are thus able to guide her learning and development in a highly personalized way. She always runs into the center every morning eagerly without even saying goodbye- which would break my heart (!) except that I know it's just because she's having a great experience there every day. Recently our dog died and I asked for advice and the resources I was sent were so thoughtful and comprehensive - they do more than care for our kids, they care for our families. The staff are well educated in early childhood development and provide a kind, caring, and structured environment that allows kids to thrive! Kids thrive on a predictable schedule and environment. At every developmental struggle from naptime to picky eating to dealing with big emotions we have followed the lead of her teachers and have met with success time and time again. I have read books on child sleep, emotions, and nutrition, but now I just follow the advice of GT teachers who provide more valuable information tailored to our specific issue at hand than I could find in any book. I often find myself repeating their advice to my PEPS group and looking like a hero! People always comment on how lucky we are that our kid sleeps and eats so well and is so happy and well adjusted- it's not luck, it's Green Tree.

We LOVE KC. They were always my first choice and my favorite tour. What stood out to me was that the center felt like a place where play and creativity were at the forefront. That impression has played out as accurate. In every room each of my daughters has developed special relationships with one of their teachers. We have adored all of their teachers. We love the field trips and are hoping that our youngest will be able to take advantage of that post-COVID.

Other things we love about KC: 1) All classes spend a fair amount of time outside every day (unless there's extreme weather) - and our kids love to play on the playground overlooking Elliot Bay and go for walks (on the rope) with their class to watch the ferries, the fire trucks, and all of the waterfront action 2) The toddlers and pre-k go on a field trip every week! Locations include the aquarium, Pike Place Market, the fire station, the library, Volunteer Park, and the water taxi to West Seattle. This is always our older child's favorite day and it's amazing how much it has fostered a sense of independence and curiosity about our community. 3) KidsCentre provides pretty much everything - diapers, wipes, and all meals. Both of our kids have food allergies and KC is accommodating and provides alternative options when needed (which we found was not the case at most other child care centers we toured) 4) The teachers foster a sense of routine so that the children know roughly how the day will flow every day, which has created confidence and a sense of calm with our kids. But most importantly, our kids feel safe, loved, and intellectually stimulated at KidsCentre and we would highly recommend!

I walked in the door and immediately felt a sense of warmth, community, and love. Many of the teachers have been there for decades, and all of them are deeply dedicated to the growth and happiness of the kids in their care. This isn't just a way to make ends meet. It's their passion. In addition, extended hours and limited closures are great for working parents, and the center has a large courtyard playground where older kids can run around, build blocks, ride bikes, do "water play" on hot summer summer days, etc. With just one class per age group, the center is small enough that everyone knows my son's name and greets him warmly as he goes about his day. I highly recommend!

I really appreciate their complimentary services outside of the quarterly ones if it's a particularly bad season for pests. Their technicians are great, and they try to send the same person every time, which I appreciate. My current tech, Kevin, really goes above and beyond. He noticed an area near my front door where rodents were potentially hiding, so he put down some wiring to protect the area without me asking. He also gives me at-home spider traps I can use and even disposes of them during his visits since it rather grosses me out to do so :) Also, during my most recent appointment, I was totally frazzled due to meetings happening at work, and I told Kevin to go ahead and spray my garage area, and that I'd close the garage door later when I could. What I discovered later is that Kevin actually closed the door himself without me asking, which just shows that he actually thinks about the customer and what's best for them. That defines good service. Finally, their customer service folks are also great. Whenever I've had to reschedule or have questions, they are always easy to get a hold of, prompt, and friendly. Parker Eco is the kind of company where you don't have to think too hard about using their services because they're really good at what they do. That lack of mental overhead makes it easy to recommend them!

They were extremely quick to respond to my inquiry via texting, asked great questions to get a sense of how much cleaning the dress would need (they requested some pictures of the stains up front), and gave me a quote for the cost that I felt was very reasonable. The pickup and drop-off part of this service is AMAZING, especially for someone with a busy schedule! They scheduled pick up at my house within a week despite having a high demand for wedding dress cleaning at the time, and sent me an update about what they were planning to do once they had their wedding dress expert take a look at the dress. Their turnaround time was much faster than I expected and they even sent pictures right after the cleaning was finished so I could see how well it came out! I had not requested a steaming since I didn't have plans to use the dress again anytime soon, but they did one complimentary for me which made the dress look absolutely stunning and like it was brand new. There was not a single residual stain left and the dress did not smell like anything - it was just perfectly clean. The final cost of the cleaning was exactly what I expected from the quote and I felt it was incredibly reasonable for the amount of cleaning they had to do, the speed and very high quality of service, and the helpful communication throughout the process. I was 100% satisfied with the end result and would absolutely recommend their services to anyone!

I recently moved to Los Angeles and found a new dry cleaners down the street from me that charged me half the cost for the same items which was refreshing. I thought of this place and wanted to leave a review to warn people how bad this was. These people were hostile, defensive, and greedy. They kept on hassling me about my clothes and texting me for approval for new costs. The texting person gave me an estimate and sent me like over 10 photos of my clothes to point out all the stains and hair that was on my clothes and repeatedly told me my clothes were wrinkled and very dirty. This was unnecessary and made me feel attacked and shamed. Like WTF?? I just wanted them to clean my clothes not pick faults with me! Instead, they acted like they were taking me to court! So much unnecessary stress and hassle for dry cleaners! They ended up charging me over $50 more than originally estimated because my clothes were oh so hard to clean and so dirty. Despite going over the original estimate, they still hassled and tried to guilt me for tip at the end saying they gave me a deal. What deal? Your services are super expensive! The tone they texted me was just so very rude it's like they didn't want me as a customer. I never fought them on the expensive costs but they were hostile from the start. I ended up going back to my previous dry cleaners, City Custom Tailor & Dry Cleaners in Belltown. They are not cheap either, but a little less expensive and they are chill. I do not think cheap dry cleaning exists in Seattle but this service sucks.

This place was a life saver when our original daycare closed down. They offer well staffed programs from infant room to after-school. They are owned and operated by a church and promote Christian values. But the focus is on values not dogma so it is comfortable for people of any faith. They have a full size gym for rainy days and a commercial kitchen where they make meals for the toddlers and older kids. Meals and snacks are included in the price which I know you don't get at every facility. I have always felt comfortable dropping my son off here. My son has been in the infant room at Northgate Early Learning Center for about 5 months now (since he was 3 months old). The teachers in his classroom and the director (Jean) are fantastic. My transition back to work was made that much easier due to my confidence them. My son always seems at ease at drop off and pick up. They have a nice, clean, play area with age-appropriate toys, safe sleeping arrangements, and a variety of activities planned for each week. Daily report cards are provided (what/when he ate, when he slept, when diapers were changed, etc.). Parents are very involved in the school and have regular meetings with the director to discuss upcoming events and ways to improve the school. So far, we are very pleased with this daycare and would recommend it to anyone. read more

Having both a Toddler and an Infant we have worked with the majority of the childcare providers throughout the school--and they are all outstanding. I feel that Whizz Kids is an extension of my home: a supportive atmosphere where children are loved and nurtured. Learning there is hands on and creative. Lesson plans are organized and aptly communicated to us as parents. Additionally, we are able to see pictures of our children online via a secure website as they engage in various activities throughout the day--this is a welcome repreive from work as it makes me feel more connected to my kids! Professionally, I manage a group of clinicians who provide care to seniors, not fundamentally unlike a Childcare/Pre-School, just working with people at the other end of life. Finding the quality people who are caring, responsible, educated and professional is a difficult and never ending task. Whizz Kids has excelled in this area and I couldn't be more proud of the outcomes they have helped my children achieve. I couldn't recommend Whizz Kids more highly.

We love this school. Teacher Jessica and Teacher Leslie are superb. Immensely dedicated to school, children and family. There are amazingly creative activities that foster learning in an immersive play-based manner. Inside the school there are so many things that probably would take 2-3 years for a child to go through. There is a nice outdoor play area. School organizes field trips, celebrates holidays and birthdays together as a family. Since its operations are mostly self-funded, parents help put up an event with the school that supports for all supplies and expenses. Parents also take up roles/rotating responsibilities to support education and development. Our daughter loves her school and we could not have been more pleased. My wife also found a loving and intellectual circle of friends.

My daughter loves both Teacher Jessica and Teacher Jan. Her face lights up when we talk about preschool days and she cheers "There's my school!" the moment we pull into the parking lot. From a grown up point of view, I have found invaluable support on parenting challenges from teachers and other parents. The teacher led discussion topics are educational and relevant. It's been wonderful to meet other parents. From the first time I walked in the school I felt it was a magical place - it truly has been for my family. Check out an open house, play date or check with our register about visiting a class one day if you are considering schools.

I can't say enough good things about the entire staff, we've had an amazing experience here. The center directors - Jenny and Meghan are both incredible and made us feel so comfortable every step of the way. Our daughter started here when she was 6 months old in the infant room and is now almost 2. All of the teachers and staff truly feel like family and take such amazing care of our daughter. She gets excited to go to school everyday! We are so thankful for each and every person at Northgate Kindercare! If you have the chance to enroll here, don't hesitate!

She takes safety seriously,…read moreshe has great facilities that she keeps upgrading, and the downstairs is basically a kid toy kingdom that we couldn't believe the first time we saw it. It's also really nice that the daycare is just a few seconds off of I-5 (Exit 176). Most important, though, is that when we drop off our son, we feel like it's the closest thing to him being with family. He gets a ton of affection and attention without the craziness and impersonality of a large daycare. Again, we just can't recommend Reyna's daycare center enough. You can't go wrong here! P.S.. Once we picked him up early and she sent home the lunch she'd made for him. It was delicious. I hate to admit that we ate most of it :)

This coop preschool has an amazing location with an outdoor play area into the Victory Heights…read morepark, super cute brick school house with big windows, and best of all the wonderful Teacher Marianne. My daughter has really loved coming here this past year and I've enjoyed the community the other families have created. The play is set up in sections of the classroom and there are areas for dress up, a play house, library, puzzles, blocks, art, science table, sensory box, and a daily changing station. The kids do seasonal projects and field trips.
