She was looking for a particular plant, but the owner said they hadn't come in yet as it was too early in the season. The drive getting there was well worth it as the view was spectacular! Northern Gardens in Cody WY has a beautiful selection of plants. However, I purchased new bushes for my front yard this spring and had a landscaper plant them for me. I selected a variety that is hearty and very common in our dry climate. Within 45 days they were dead and infested with bugs. My landscaper did not find any other bugs in my yard or on my other plants. I feel that the new bushes came to me with bugs already in them. Northern Gardens would not give me a price break for new plants to replace the buggy dead ones. I'm. It very happy with the service I received from the company. read more

I asked about a cart of flowers because a few caught my eye, and I wanted help finding them in the greenhouse. The owner was very rude, pushed the cart away like I was going to take something off of it. She said it belonged to a customer who already paid. I didn't know it was the owner I was speaking to at the time, so I asked to speak to the owner to report the rude behavior. I was led outside to the end of the building, the lady through her arms up and said she was the owner. I was shocked this was how she treated customers and told her so. I was about to buy 6 trees for a privacy hedge but changed my mind due to the rudeness. I had already bought several trees/flowers the months prior. Her excuse was that they're under staffed and over worked. Now knowing she was the owner, It wasn't the first time that her or her staff have been rude or else I would of understood. She started petting my shoulder saying I'm such a good customer after I stated how much I've loved purchasing from there over the years. I was shocked again that she was even touching me so I replied that I don't expect her to fawn over me. She closed the door to not allow me entrance and agreed that she didn't have to fawn over me. I'm fuming at this point but I had to inform my family who were still inside that we were leaving. I asked her if all this was necessary over me asking about flowers and wanting to report rude behavior. She allowed me entrance and said in a flippant tone that she was sorry. All the while she was talking about me to other customers and staff, laughing as I walked over to my family. I will never go back. Other people have come forward stating that this is common, that she treats her staff and customers like garbage. People need to post their reviews, they are helpful. I would of never supported this business had I known. It was a mortifying experience. I had been a yearly loyal customer since 2015. To summarize: I was treated like I was a nuisance, a theif, she petted me like a dog to mock me, she wasn't going to allow me re-entrance by shutting the door in my face, and laughed behind my back to others, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! My 2 neices, sister, and brother in law witnessed the whole thing. We were there buying memorial flowers for my mom who passed a few years ago. It was already an emotional day, we didn't deserve that treatment, no one does! read more
