I went into the store to get ice and water for a 1/2 Gallon Water Jug. This really rude Jerk yelled at me "Don't even think of filling that Jug with Soda Pop" I don't drink Pop. I just drink water. I was trying to put ice in my Jug. I could here one solid junk of ice in the machine. I only got a few shavings in my jug. The person that I believed to be the owner of the store told me that I would have to pay for a bag of ice if I put ice in my 1/2 gallon Jug. I thought I saw the person that I perceived to be an owner go out a side door. I headed out the side door to show him that I only got a few shavings of ice and thus I would not be paying for a bag of ice. He yelled at me from within the store. He thought I was leaving and stealing a jug full of ice. The Jerk banned me from the Store and told me to never return. It would have cost me over $100.00 to fill my Fuel Tank. I left with 1/8 tank of fuel and made it to Mancelona. I had a wonderful meal at Mancelona BP and filled my Fuel Tank. I find Irony for being banned from a Store that I live 150 miles away from.

It's the effect of being a rural small town. Employees are somewhere between bland, expressionless, vacant and just plain rude and discourteous. They do the job punching the buttons and collecting the payment, but that's where it ends. Understanding that, the store itself is massive. Several coffee options, frozen drinks, coolers full of many different brands and flavours. Shelves of most anything you could possibly need. But the biggest attraction: Chester's Chicken. Chester's is hot chicken prepared on site, offered in combination or ala carte'. When we lived downstate we ate Chester's for lunch 2-3 times a week. Imagine my surprise finding this one. If made fresh there isn't much better than the chicken tenders so I looked in the warmer and there was 3- dry looking tenders but I noticed that they were dropping fresh something in the oil so I asked the young man working the register what it was hoping it was tenders and the grumpy old lady working the fryer said super rudely CHICKEN! Like I was just some stupid guy the man working the register then looks me in the eye and says she is the rudest person he ever met I mean this is his coworker!!!!!! So I said I could wait for the fresh chicken tenders he looks at me again says good luck I'm clocking out so I waited 6 min and then the lady grabbed the 3- old tenders chucking them in a box mean as hell I then said I just waited for fresh so she threw the tenders back in the warmer and said THOSE Were NOT OLD!!!!!! Just wow what a way to treat a costumer I will never stop at a blaring castle ever again

We also decided to eat lunch at the BBQ place connected to the Blue Buck on 72. The only downfall was that there was one worker and she was doing everything. Took orders, cooked, and put the food together. You also pay for your food inside the grocery store, so that was a little strange. Good BBQ menu options. I went with the pulled pork and the the pork was cooked nicely. BBQ sauce was tangy and tasty. But the coleslaw did not take like much of anything.
