One of them completely ignored us and was outright rude. After we waited for 10 minutes, the staff member on the right finally asked if we had an appointment. Meanwhile, the lady in the center acted like she didn't want anything to do with us. However, the moment an elderly couple walked in, that same employee instantly jumped up to help them. It is heartbreaking to see this kind of blatant bias happening right here in Danbury. If you cannot treat everyone with equal respect regardless of their background, you shouldn't be working in patient care. People can see right through this behavior. I will never bring my son back to this office, and I will never use this facility again myself. I've read other reviews concerning the reception staff .

People should not have their neck twisted ( r or l) for 20 - 25 mins and their arms above their head b/c you can't lay your face forward/down (spa like) and your arms in a relaxed position while on your stomach. It's nerve wrecking enough to have a cancer diagnosis and then have this unnecessary experience. Just upgrade to industry standard, as I will never get another breast MRI at Northeast Radiology in Danbury, CT until they swap out their machinery to accomodate breast cancer patients with comfortable care.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU BROKE A BONE! I hurt my foot. I went to an Urgent Care Center in Somers. They…read morewere listed as doing xrays. I get there to be told there are no techs who can read it, there aren't any urgent care centers that have techs available at the moment (there is a shortage), and that I should go to Yorktown Imaging. They were very nice there and I have no compaint about them. I went to Yorktown Imaging at 6:30pm and got an xray. They even gave me a disk. They told me it would be on my portal that night. Mind you, I'm driving about an hour now with a possible broken bone in my right foot. No, there is no one who can take me. That is beyond my control at the moment. I get to Yorktown Imaging around 6:30pm and they take an xray. They told me I would get a result that night. Never happened. The urgent care center called them, and they were told it would take 3-5 days to get it read because they were not part of Northwell Health. Yorktown Imaging was fully aware that I went to an Urgent Care Center that was not part of Northwell Health, and that my doctor was not a part of Northwell Health. I told them my doctor is part of Optum. They told me that they can read their system no problem. Since the doctor who wrote the script was from the Urgent Care place, they kept telling me the results would be sent to them, even though I filled out the form telling them where to send it to my doctors with their name and phone number. They didn't really care about anything else and seemed to be keeping to the 3-5 days to read it. I had numerous nurses call them trying to get the results. It took a total of 22 hours, and 3 solid hours of phone calls from me to get the results read. This was for a possible broken bone that was very painful. I would have gone to the ER, but it was a much farther drive, and all highway driving. I thought it would be faster (and cheaper) to go to an urgent care office. I am immunocompromised and would rather not spend 5 hours in the ER. My bad, eh? After that, I couldn't go to an ER because the insurance company is not going to pay for a second xray and an emergency room visit when I already went to urgent care and had an xray done. And they shouldn't have to. I am so disgusted with how this was handled I can't even contain myself. Yorktown Imaging sucks when it comes to an emergency. The healthcare centers in northern westchester need to get their shit together. No one should have to wait 22 hours to get an x-ray of a possible broken bone read. It is completely unacceptable. And it is the healthcare systems fault, not necessarily the employees, but the radiologist who read the results should have know better.

I have been a patient at NVRA / Diagnostic Imaging of Southbury for well over 20 years…read more All the staff there has always been great. Front desk, techs, etc Friendly, always accommodating during tests. I have never had an issue until yesterday. I was at Diagnostic Imaging of Southbury for a CAT Scan. I was called into the back by who I thought was a tech , expecting to go to the scan room. Instead this woman takes me to a small office with a black curtain hiding about 2/3 of the room, closes the door and starts talking to me about genetic testing, and gives me a brochure. She was not a tech from Diagnostic Imaging but rather a " salesperson" for HALO, an outside company selling genetic testing. I was confused and told her I was there for a CAT Scan. She proceeded to tell me I would get the Scan, then come back to her office for testing. I was more confused and getting upset. This was nothing I knew about. I then asked her if it was covered by insurance. Only then did she tell me that my Medicare or Medicaid doesn't cover it. I wanted nothing to do with this, but she put me on a waiting list if Medicaid ever approves it. Then she took me out of her office and led me to the inside waiting room to wait for my Scan. I am appalled, surprised and upset that NVRA/ Diagnostic Imaging allows this type of propaganda. This is a medical facility not home depot where all the outside sales people bother you. I find this absolutely unacceptable and almost unethical. HALO no doubt pays some kind rent but this type of scam should not be allowed. Patients come to the facility for doctor ordered tests. If genetic testing is ordered by a doctor and performed by Diagnostic Imaging staff, fine. Otherwise, don't try to push it on unaware Patients, some of whom may not know better and just wind up paying for this scam. If I want outside testing such as Lifeline Screening That is my choice to make and knowingly sign up and pay for. I hope NVRA/ Diagnostic Imaging ceases this terrible practice. Mark D.
