I've been in here on multiple occasions, and I have had two friends that have adopted animals from here with zero issues. Sadly, a lot of these reviews are from faceless people who have only put one review to bash this place so I don't give it much credibility. I also donate as much as I can as far as supplies they need. the people that volunteer here are saints donating their time and resources to help animals. I highly suggest if you can donate anything around the house or any type of food for these animals. It is always greatly appreciated.

I adopted a great puppy here, very affordable. Had all her shots and was spayed for no extra charge. Great people working there, I got in and out fairly quickly. This place does a lot of great work with a low budget and I'm so impressed with how they run a place like this. And now I have a super amazing friend! It's been one of the best experiences ever.

scam * puppies covered in feces * owner clueless * manager rude * unprofessional * unclean Please, please get your new furry friend from anywhere else. On 07/15/2021, this facility hosted an event at Thirsty Dog in the flats. They advertised a puppy named Willow on their Instagram account, stating that she would be available at the event "on a first come first serve basis." [see attached photo] I took off of work, showed up very early, and waited. I was one of the first people there. About 20 minutes before the start of the event, a woman showed up and asked when she could take home Willow. I questioned the volunteer (let's call her Emma) about this, and she informed me that the director promised the dog to this woman but that the other dogs were available. This is a classic bait-and-switch, which is an illegal tactic. Emma felt very bad about the situation, and I know she was just following orders given to her. My mother and I called the facility to speak with the owner, Jeff, who apologized for the incident and informed us that the manager had been fired for her actions. Without us prompting him, he offered me a free dog which would be comparable to Willow. I called often, checking to see if there were more puppies. One time they offered me a beagle as a comparable dog to a chihuahua... Another time, they immediately put me on hold for 20 minutes, and when they finally answered, they had just gotten done adopting out the dog I was calling about. Today, 08/25/2021, I saw doxie puppies posted to their Instagram at about 9AM. I called and left a voicemail at about 9:30AM. They called me back when they opened at 10AM, and informed me that they would hold the dog I wanted in the back until noon. I arrived at 11AM and held the puppy. The place smelled absolutely foul, and some of the puppies were covered in their own feces. I was told that the dog would be $200, but I informed them that Jeff told us we would not have to pay. According to the manager, Jeff did not recall this conversation. The manager informed us that we misunderstood. Then she changed the story and said that Jeff misunderstood. My mother called and was angry about the constant lies we have been told. The manager hung up on her, and proceeded to call my name out in the shelter to find me. She motioned for me to hang up the phone on my mother. She told me "you're an adult" and that she would not speak with my mother, nor would she let her in the building. The shelter broke their promise. I was honestly willing to pay for the dog even though they revoked their promise, but after the way I was talked down to by the manager, I left. Also, it turns out that Emma was the one fired over the incident, not the manager - even though Emma was just doing what she was told. DO NOT GO HERE. They will lie to you left and right, and they are not taking care of the animals properly. It breaks my heart to see all of these poor animals being neglected. This place should be shut down. I also will note ahead of time also that while their website claims they pick up both dog and cat poop, I had several occasions where obvious piles of cat poop were left in the yard while the dog poop was picked. We employed this service since last summer and initially did not have problems. Starting in January when snow started to fall, as it does every year in Ohio, we started to get nervous about the quality of the cleaning. I came home one Wednesday, our service day was always Wednesday, to find that the yard had been serviced however one large pile that looked as if it had been stepped in and smeared in the snow was left. Upon further inspection it was apparent that other poops had been left under a fresh snowfall that had occurred earlier that Wednesday morning. We contacted PoopPros to inquire what the plan was to clean during snowfalls because when we first inquired about the service in winter, we were told with pride that PoopPros have even "chiselled poop out of ice!", so it was disappointing to see that we had literally been charged for them to come out and pick up only visible poop, which was from that very morning, deposited in the yard between the early morning snowfall and their tech's arrival. We wanted to cancel the service because the whole point is not to have poop rotting, wet, on the grass, under snow. The next week, we specifically reached out prior to service and told the tech that there were many poops in the yard both from the previous week as well as what had been left over the next week. We got no response. The servicing was done, collecting again only visible poops. At this point, we have basically two weeks worth of poops in and under snow in our yard even though we PAY a service for the expectation that THEY gave that our yard would be clean year round. Now come to Wednesday before last, there was a polar vortex with extreme temperatures. We received a text saying they would not be out to service for the week. Understandable. What was not understandable is that they did not warn that they would not be coming this past Wednesday to make up for that missed week. PoopPros claim that because we cancelled service after January and that Wednesday was the last Wednesday of that month, that they are not coming out and we would get a check for that cancelled service. They feel no obligation to clean all of the poops left in the yard, of which there are at least 30-40, I have pictures. These are all poops left in the yard throughout the month of January, when they WERE employed to clean the yard, but did not. They did not ever say that they did not intend to make up the week cancelled until we complained again when we came back from travelling this past Wednesday to find the yard a defrosted poop filled wreck. Additionally, they backtracked on the previous credit offered stating it would be offered only if we continue to employ the service. After the condition of the yard by the end of January, will be shown in photos, I had no intention whatsoever of employing this service during snow months. I was open to signing back up for warm weather months until I saw just how much back tracking they did and still left us with a yard absolutely full of poop that we had to clean our selves. So, to total the first snow month and last month utilizing this service that proudly claims to be year round: We are left with a yard full of poop we paid them not to pick up for an entire month as they only pick visible poops and do not chisel anything. We were offered a credit for previous issues then it was snatched back in an attempt to strong arm us into maintaining this business relationship. They cancelled our last week of service with no intention or communication concerning our previously and loudly voiced complaints about the condition of the yard. They are fine with the 100$ they collected over the course of January to literally pull maybe 10 poops leaving 40. DISHONEST COMPANY.
