I contacted Dean, for a roadworthy appointment approximately 8 months ago. I had just purchased an NB Miata, upon purchase it had just had a roadworthy expire about 2 weeks before. I figured the roadworthy would be relatively painless, maybe some bushings etc; after recently moving to the area I had just consulted google for a suggestion. After reading other reviews I should have steered clear, because when I took my car in I was forced to wait 2 hours before anyone even acknowledged my presence. When they finally got off their lazy asses, they took the keys and told me it'd be a while. I went to grab a coffee, I then got a call from Dean telling me that the car was essentially ruined. Listed off bushings, brake pads, brake rotors, brake bleed, clutch bleed, headlights, bulbs and an airbag recall that needed to be fixed. I asked him how much this would cost me and he informed me that he couldn't provide a quote. By the time I had walked back to the shop he had begun work on my car, I specifically DIDN'T agree to this. I made this very clear and after i told him to stop he refused to give me the keys until I had paid him $400 for the bulb replacement he had completed. I VERY reluctantly paid and took the car, he phoned me 3 times to follow up, telling me threateningly that the car was unroadworthy. I found another shop for a second opinion and they passed the car with only the brake pads replaced, they also commented that all of the wheel nuts were little more than finger tight and that the headlight bulb cover had not been replaced. 0/10 DONT GO HERE read more
