Housewares, furniture, pictures, decorative items, vinyl records, toys. A little bit of everything. Prices are pretty reasonable. The person who checked me out did a very careful wrapping job on my item, which I appreciated. They also had bargain bins set up outside where everything was a buck. My only complaint: They use mailing labels stuck directly on front of item as price tags. My item has dried glue stuck to the gold leaf that I probably can't remove without damage. Moving to little hang tags on strings that most vintage stores use would help preserve the item. Then again, the price I paid was half than anywhere else and I wasn't buying it as a collector's item anyway, so no biggie. And the label came off another item effortlessly, so it probably depends. If you are worried, just ask to see item without sticker on it so you can inspect it. I'll definitely stop here again, and because of the price points and high inventory, it doesn't affect my rating of this super fun store.

They've got a great selection of stuff - estate jewelry from $5 and up, vintage linens/table cloths, quilts, old toys, framed art, a ton of tea cups/tea pots, clothing, kitchen stuff.....And on and on and on. Prices vary but overall I felt like they were reasonable (unlike in California where I live!). They are located in the basement of an old church, and have an auction every Saturday from 5 pm to 10 pm where you can apparently get terrific deals on furniture, etc. If I lived in Ohio, I would go all the time!

I arrived for my appointment, Carrie informed me I was 10 minutes late...very rudely in front of the other SVS staff and all the customers in the showroom. We proceeded to the exam room where I once again apologized for being late and once again she demoralized me and didn't accept my apology. Yes in front of SVS employees. Note... I live 40 minutes away from SVS vision and also this visit was for a MISTAKE in the prescription from SVS vision!

G & L picked up our John Deere lawn mover for repairs. When they picked up the lawn mower, my…read morehusband told them he thought it was an issue with the fuel pump, as he no longer heard it pumping the fuel. We agreed that if they could repair it for $300 or less, we would approve the repairs. They had the lawn mower for about 2 weeks. During that time, they managed to break out one of the tail lights, but did agree to forego the $47 pick up/delivery charge to compensate, which we agreed to, but this still left us having to order a new tail light and performing the labor to install. When they delivered the lawn mover back to us, they explained that they checked the fuel pump and it was working fine. They said they replaced two coils and cleaned the bushings - billing us approx. $300 (how convenient that their bill was just about the max we agreed to pay to repair our lawnmower). They indicated that the carburetor would need to be replaced, but that the lawn mower does run now. When we called them for service, the lawn mower would start and would run for about 15 minutes at a time. When they returned it, it wouldn't even start. My husband disputed their work only to have the delivery driver argue and insult him. Upon pulling out of our driveway to leave, he peeled out and laid on his horn all the way down our driveway and continued doing so down our street - HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! My husband spent the next afternoon trying to troubleshoot it himself. He took off the fender to get to the fuel pump to check it out and found dried grass on all the bolts - which proved they did not even check the fuel pump - if they had, the dried grass would've been knocked off the bolts. We found that the fuel pump WAS actually the problem and ordered the part online. We further tested the carburetor (which they told us needed to be replaced) and found that it was working perfectly fine. This company is a complete rip-off. DO NO USE THEM!!!!!

As the originator of the formation of French & Indian War 250, Inc. in Pittsburgh in 1997, I knew…read morethat there were limited resources available for such an undertaking. We presented the 250th anniversary of these events very well. In 2006, I agreed to portray Gen. John Forbes in 2008 events, little know how difficult it would be to have an accurate & authentic uniform made in time. After 6 mts of searching, I found Smiling Fox Forge. They agreed to build it, and within a couple months it was delivered. It was both!!! Never left PA for a fitting, but every item was just right. It certainly passed muster in 2009 (the 250th year death of Gen. Forbes) at Christ Church in Old Town Philadelphia as members of the PA Hero Walk honored Forbes with a tribute to Forbes who is buried in the altar of the church. This uniform has since traveled every year with the PA Hero Walk along Forbes Trail (US Rte 30) raising awareness and funds for today's military and veterans of PA. People marvel at the quality and lasting ability of this uniform and all it represents. Smiling Fox Forge was a pleasure to work with, and their able staff met our every need!!
