Cruz is a true craftsman. everyone was very friendly and tried their best to do all we asked . Very happy with my kitchen counters and bathroom vanities.

Reviewing Genis Pacific, tiles, flooring renovations contractors in Shallotte NC…read more This firm renovated 2 bathrooms for me. Both small, one is a shower only, the second is a master bath. The first was done quite nicely, the tiler took great care with spacing the tiles and the clean up was pretty good considering I used dark grout against a white subway tile. The floor looks amazing. So, I felt confident to use them again for the master bath. It is also a new local business, which I like to support. However, That's when problems started. Full demo was required, remove tub, remove "bath fitter" shower surround, and vanity and dig up floor tile. The charge was $3800. Why? I was told " because it's 4 guys, I need to pay them all", so I had my handy man do the demo for $1800, same job, he did exactly what Genis would have done. Next problem, I had Genis supply grout, the shower kit and tile trim, also duroc and thin set. I personally purchased everything else. This contractor charged 50% - 100%+ on material costs. $900 on a shower kit that retails for $450-$630. They charged $39 for a bag of grout that retails for $15.50, and double the retail price on duroc, thin-set and trims. I elected to buy the shower kit myself at which time, the contractor became really quite upset and when I confronted her, her excuse was that it's a small firm at which time I pointed out to her that as a general guide, the typical markup on materials will be between 7.5% and 10%. However, some contractors will mark up materials as much as 20%, according to the Corporate Finance Institute. Which is fine but Not 100%! They sent a different tiler from the first job, it seemed that he did not want to be there, He didn't show up at all a couple of times, the tiles were set unevenly , spacing was very uneven, no spacers used , thick grout in some areas, none in others, granted, I did use a small herringbone tile on the shower basin and niche which requires more grout, nevertheless, there was no care taken, the shower tile is white subway with black grout, so it really shows, they kept placing the commode in the shower stall along with some equipment during floor tiling, when the plumber removed everything to set the commode, that's when I noticed how crooked the tile work was. And when they left, I saw how dirty the tile and the bathroom had been left. The doors were covered in black stain from grout, the tiles were thick with uneven grout. Areas on the floor had no grout at all. When water is run in the shower stall, it puddles, it does not drain completely. I emailed and asked for the contractor to come and check it out and repair the mistakes that were made. Again, the attitude was one of disdain, as if I am at fault and it took 4 days to get back to me. Very unprofessional workers, they used my shop vac and left it filthy, full of debris, they didn't cover any floors until I asked them to do so, they used my drill and did not replace the drill bits until I asked for their return, and even then, they were not the original and not the same make, they left my home looking like a construction site, never cleaning up after themselves. Even leaving building debris in the yard where they discarded dirty water. The owner did come on two occasions to check if my concerns were valid and they did agree. I cannot recommend the quality of work, They will gouge you on prices , communication is virtually non existent, they do not respond to email or text and if one is lucky enough to actually make contact, the attitude is lacking. Not the way to run a new business . I'd like to note that this business is primarily Spanish speaking but I do speak spanish, that was not the problem.

This is an absolute garbage company with a garbage product. I'm the original owner of a house that…read morewas built with Markraft cabinets in 2021. I wanted to do a quick kitchen refresh and get new cabinet hardware. What should have been a 30 minute project turned in to an impossible task. The existing hardware has a standard 3 3/4" hole spacing. The new hardware I bought has the same 3 3/4" spacing. Imagine to my surprise that the holes drilled by Markraft installers are all over the place! They're 1/16" off here, a 1/16" off there, all of which results in the new hardware not fitting. How was the old hardware installed you may wonder? Well, much like the quality of the install, the hardware is complete trash and can be bent easily by hand. The installer bent the hardware to fit whatever haphazard holes were drilled in the wood. In addition to the random hole spacing (random despite templates being used and readily available!), some of the original hardware was secured with screws that had so much torque applied they were stripped to the point of having to be drilled out. If you're building a custom house, find a different cabinet supplier. This one is no good. If buying from one of the big builders where you don't have a say in the cabinetry, check for these things at a minimum (I'm sure there are other issues to look for that I have yet to discover) and get them corrected while the house is under warranty.

Paid for custom framed mirrors. Installed in March, one mirror had glue over applied, seeping out onto mirror. Took 7 months of constant calling to get mirror replaced. Replacement is worse!!! No glue seepage but the corners of finished wood frame have paint rubbed off!! Will never recommend to anyone!! Don't waste your money
