Love this school. One of my daughters briefly attended another rural K-8 school (with very high ratings) when we missed the pre-k enrollment date. We happily left for NRC after one semester when a spot opened up. NRC is not snooty, has several extracurricular activities, an after school program, and the teachers seem MUCH better than most other nearby schools. The principal at the elementary (Dr. Smith) is the BEST!
Evidently you can't judge a school on the state's ratings because my daughter graduated from here well prepared for HS and is now entering college on an academic scholarship. She had a great peer group and still talks to several of her old teachers. So glad they're building a high school!
UPDATE: Daughter who graduated from here now in second year of college, almost straight As. Other child in middle school at NRC and excelling as well. Highly recommend this school. read more
