Dr…read more Jordan prepped two teeth for crowns yesterday, putting two temp crowns on with ease but later in the evening, my top lip starting swelling a little bit. I wrote it off because there was a bit of soreness from the numbing injections. Well, this morning my top lip, on that side, was swollen and it was sticking out about half an inch (see photos)!! I called the office at 8:21 and had to leave a voice message. 1:00 rolls around & no one called me back , so I called back. Left another message. One of his staff finally called me back just to say another staff member needs to call me... fine, that's okay. 3:38, I call back and a live person does answer but by this time I was livid. The person I spoke to told me to come on in & they would see me. One of his assistants said to me, "well, the lady that was suppose to call you back had been very busy with patients" and I prompted said that I'm a patient too! Now, my pharmacy closes at 4:30 so at 4:26, Dr. Jordan said he would call them so I had to fly like a bat out'ta hell to get there in time! I have NEVER had any swelling before so I don't know what has caused it this time. Dr. Jordan said it may be ulcers trying to form at the injection sites.... how & why?!?! Like I said, I don't have an issue with Dr. Jordan and I'll keep going back but I had better have nothing but positive experiences from now on! P.S. It took 40 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I left!

Hill Family Dental is small, but they have an attractive, clean facility. I went in for a simple exam to address some tooth sensitivity issues. Dr. Hill and his staff addressed the issue and we have a plan moving forward, and it's not breaking my bank as I do not have (and will not get) dental insurance. I went in regularly, and the same hygienist scrubs my mouth, then the same dentist peers in, making sure he agrees that everything is right before I make my next appointment and leave. My wife took my daughter and son to Dr. Shearer, so I'm the only one who hadn't been there. She talks so positively about her experience, and said nobody tries to sell them MLM toothpaste or gadgets with their hands in her mouth. What's this? Sounds like I need to give it a try. Dr. Shearer's hygienists are both very friendly and skilled, and NEITHER OF THEM HURT YOU. I thought agonizing pain was just part of the process, but it's not; my whole life my hygienist had been doing it wrong. Dr. Shearer is also very kind and professional. If you need a procedure like fillings, etc., they discuss their charges with respect to payments made by your insurance company on the front end, and give you options. That's also something I'd never been used to. Usually before it'd been a surprise after the fact. He's my new dentist. After 40 years.
