This place absolutely SUCKS! i came here for my whole pregnancy and it's been problem after problem with this OB.. i gave birth at 37 weeks bc i was induced (thanks to dr. walsh only good doctor tbh) i came in bc i was hurting super badly susan came in the room to check me out she told me i was fine i told her i wasn't i didn't feel right so they sent me home got half way up the road an i got a call from walsh to come back i was having my baby due to SUPERRR high blood pressure! Postpartum comes around i bleed for over a month an i was even gave medication to help me stop bleeding an it didn't work i called an the medical team told me it was normal to bleed that long i told them no the hell it ain't! This place has been a NIGHTMARE for billing. I put in my current insurance during the check in for my preventative appointment. I had 2 subsequent visits for emergency care. They bills my 10 year old insurance, I sent my new insurance twice thru the online message system. They still only billed one of my visits. I called and they billed my 2nd visit. I called again and was assured they bills for my 3rd visit but I am still getting a bill because they sent it to my 10 year old insurance and not my current Insurance I have given to the billing department 5 times!!! I'm being threatened to be sent to collections even though I have paid my copay and THEY KEEP BILLING THE WRONG INSURANCE!!!!!!!!l I have zero problem paying the appropriate copay but the billing department can't get it right!!! I have asked to speak with a supervisor (I know- KAREN) but have not be able to. read more

I am absolutely shocked by what happened yesterday... Me and my partner have been through so much when it comes to having kids.. we lost one this year and got told we couldn't have children it would be hard. I am absolutely shocked how much north pointe OBGYN as changed. They delivered my daughter who is now one and they have changed so much. They use to be so nice and friendly everyone just seems like they hate being there. I was in the ER at north side hospital bleeding and cramping with an early pregnancy the doctor I saw she was amazing dr brach. She asked me to do a follow up visit ULTRASOUND to make sure they saw what she saw. I went up there that same day to see if I could get an appointment and I did the front desk was very helpful. We went yesterday to get the ultrasound done they proceeded to say it's not on the notes. "I understand but we live an hour away we are going on vacation I want to make sure everything is ok" I saw dr. Lambert he was a straight up jerk. Wasn't sincere or anything made me cry leaving the office. I get at 3-4 weeks pregnant you don't see much that's not the point you don't know peoples story and you could at least care and NOT SAY A PREGNANT WOMAN IS MAKING SOMETHING BIGGER THEN WHAT IS THERE. You only see the sac and yoak I understand that but for him to be so harsh and rude and just to stick the vaginal ultrasound in there and didn't even talk me through it and say it's going to hurt or anything shows he doesn't care about his job. Stay far far away!!! I went today for a appointment pissed and disappointed is an understatement! I saw dr Alex Eaccarino he has zero patient skills and talks to you like u are stupid. I was made to feel dumb like I have no idea about my own body. When I was explaining issues to him he pretty much brushed it off letting me what the text-book says. Even when I explained to him I have never had any problems he did not listen to me more so just made me feel completely stupid. This practice is a joke! The staff at this practice are - by and large - unprofessional, disorganized, and downright rude. We have been treated with contempt when we showed up for an appointment they wanted to reschedule (even though they entered my phone number incorrectly into my file, so we had never received a message asking us to reschedule) and have been given the run around or completely ignored when attempting to contact them with questions or to get test results. We have never been out of the waiting room within 30 minutes of our scheduled appointment times, and our longest wait was over an hour and a half from the time of our appointment! The doctors vary wildly in their bedside manner, but we have more than once been made to feel foolish or uninformed for asking a simple question. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for your prenatal care! read more

This is my first appointment with them and most likely will be my last. My appointment was at 1:45 annual appointment. I was in the room waiting for the doctor and wasn't seen until 3:00.... I waited one hour and 15 mins. As a first time patient or any patient for that matter it is unacceptable to wait that long. I had to go back to work. I'm beyond pissed and upset. Took my daughter for help with severe cramps and pms. Julie had very little knowledge and when we asked her opinion on a common medicine she said "you can try it if you want to". This is my first pregnancy and I'm 21 years old. The staff has been great at every appointment. During covid, it has been hard to have my husband at only two appointments, and it's a scary time right now. The staff has been extremely kind. My wait times have been less than 5 minutes. The staff ask questions and are great listeners and very attentive. I talk to the checkout receptionist all the time. She's amazing. They make me feel comfortable and safe. They don't pressure me into shots or testing. They let me make my decisions and don't question a thing. I recently was worried about low blood pressure and they brought me in the same day. Editing my previous review : I posted unfairly previously due to crazy hormones. (I had a mixup with scheduling, obviously not a big deal) Anyways, I had my baby a week ago and my experience was incredible. I could not have delivered my child naturally without Dr. Walsh, she coached me so well and I'll forever be grateful to her. The way she took care of me during labor made it so much easier to bare, and made me feel confident that I could actually do it! Dr. Walker is also amazing, she was so attentive and kind and was a great deal of help during all my visits. She even stopped by the hospital to visit me, wow. The receptionist crew, ultrasound techs, and even the person who draws your blood are all outstanding. I'm going to miss being pregnant and seeing these people, they truly made everything pregnancy related pleasant and hope they know how wonderful they are. Thanks for everything! read more

I've noticed there's a lot of negative reviews about miscarriages on yelp and I just wanted to state how my experience was different. Yesterday, I got some of the worst news of my life. I was told my embryo no longer had a heart beat and I was losing the baby. The staff gave me plenty of space to grieve prior to very thoroughly educating me on my options. I decided on a D&C and doctors Lambert explained to me what to expect, that this was not my fault, the testing I would experience after to determine plausible causes and asked me multiple times if I had any questions. His bedside manner was impeccable. He got me on the schedule first thing in the morning with Doctor Barrett who agreed to see me the next day- which I super appreciate. This is the doctor I normally see. As always, he did an amazing job. Answered questions, explained everything well etc. my nurse was amazing and caring and so were the women at the front desks with registration. For this being one of the worst days of my life, this staff really helped to insure that it was as easy as it could be. I was given patient education on grieving and resources to help me. I'm hopeful that I will someday get to deliver and healthy baby with this practice someday. read more

I am absolutely appalled with the lack of follow-up care and counseling. I am in the medical field myself and know what good management is. To sum it up I went in for my first ultrasound and a heartbeat was not detected, so they made me see Dr. Walker. Labs were drawn for hcg levels. They made me f/u the following week for a repeat u/s. Dr. Barrett was the one that confirmed I had a miscarriage. I felt extremely rushed and like ahhh it's not big deal happens a lot. To me this is a huge deal! This was my 1st pregnancy & we've been trying for nearly 1 yr. He spent less than 5 minutes w/ me told me my body would handle it & a d&c wasn't necessary d/t it being an early Mc. He never told me to f/u just said take your time & come on out & you're free to go. I called April 4th bc I was still having positive pregnancy tests. I went in once a wk for 3 wks to have labs done. Nurse says levels are dropping so you may not need to come in. I was like I am coming in to speak with a Dr & I want an u/s bc I had a feeling there was something wrong! I went in yesterday and sure enough on u/s the sac was still there! Dr. Barrett flies in states he has to go next door to the OR... like I care!? He says so What do you want to do!? I am thinking really!? You're the Dr! He prescribes me the pill to expel the rest & states if it does't work take another round 2 days later. Then call back if that doesn't work! Wtf! I feel like he should have followed up with me a few weeks after my first cycle to begin checking levels! I feel so robbed of my time to begin ttc again! I feel like I was treated like a number and absolutely wasn't cared for. I have never been pregnant before this & the Mc really was devastating. I always felt so rushed like I was of no importance. I called and made an appointment on January 31st! My appointment was for February the 11th @ 10:20am I showed up and they had no record of an appointment for me at all. The receptionist was very rude and claimed I had not made an appointment at all. I was there due to having issues with my birth control all they told me they could do was refill my birth control. I haven't taken that birth control in 2 months. I had driven an hour for this appointment and they had no desire to try and work me into there schedule although their was only one other person in the waiting room. read more

I am very upset with the lack of knowledge and treament provided by the team at Northpoint. I could go on and on about missed treatments and lack of listening. I had to demand the midwife approve the lab to run my enzymes blood work since I am recovering from pancreatitis. Of course blood work comes back abnormal, so they tell me to call hospital and schedule my own appointment for sonogram. Unbeknownst to the doctor's staff, I cannot just call hospital and schedule my own appointments. If this is your first time having a child, I would try another team first. read more

Poor customer service, I was just hung up on. If you call to make an appointment, expect to wait for at least 10 minutes before getting a hold of someone. You have to make an appointment at least one and a half months out and then your appointment might be cancelled the day before with the next open appointment one month out... The staff is friendly when you are in the office but everything before is a nightmare. They are too busy to make any customers a priority. I will be looking elsewhere for any future OB/GYN needs. read more

First of all, let me preface this review by saying it took me a MONTH to get this appointment from the time I scheduled it and this was their "first available" appointment. As a "new patient" here, I won't be back to this office. In fact, I never set foot in the office but won't be going back. Ever. My husband had locked himself out of his car minutes before my first appointment and he was stranded. I couldn't just leave him stranded until my appointment was over, so I went to help him. Before my appointment, I was notified to arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment in order to fill out New Patient paperwork. I got held up by construction traffic on my way to my appointment after helping my husband with his vehicle, and then got pulled over, making me even more late to my appointment. I would have arrived 10 minutes late to my appointment start time (and would have been late regardless of getting pulled over), and called the office to let them know I was running late. I explained the situation and the office receptionist reminded me condescendingly, "well, you know you were supposed to be here 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork". Yes, I know but there were some things beyond my control that caused me to be late. Again, I explained to her that I am on the way and would be 10 minutes late, if that. I explained this to her and she says, "let me talk to the nurse", and puts me on hold. Meanwhile, I'm still driving to the office and she gets back on the phone and says, "you're going to have to reschedule". I was livid. I said, "you can't be flexible? It's 10 minutes and a lot of this was out of my control. I waited a MONTH to get this appointment". She said, "yes, but we're just 'so booked' you're going to have to reschedule". NO compassion or understanding whatsoever. I'll be finding a new doctor's office. According to other reviews from this office, people have had to wait up to an hour (even after arriving on time or early!) at this office. So let me get this straight: the office can keep you waiting for an hour and has no respect for patient's time (or any compassion/understanding in extenuating circumstances) but patients better not be a minute late! read more

Dr. Lambert was the biggest A-HOLE to me today! I have never been treated so badly in my life by a doctor. He was annoyed that I was even in his office and had no problem showing it or telling me so. I had surgery a month ago and was in need of a post op check up. Of course I would have liked to be seen by the nice surgeon who did my surgery, but I was unable to find his practice online and the hospital had given me a number for him that was for an office that he no longer practices at, so I decided to try North Point OBGYN, for I was also in need of a new gynecologist. Boy was that a HUGE mistake! Dr. Lambert treated me like a P.O.S for coming to his office and repeatedly told me that I should've gone to my surgeon and that said surgeon had 30 different people that could've helped me. I packed my things up and let him know that it was obvious that I wasn't wanted there and I walked out of the room. I missed an entire days pay to be treated like a piece of crap. There was a nice lady doctor that came to comfort me, for I was in tears at this point. Thankfully I wasn't charged for the visit. If you are going to use North Point OBGYN... DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE DR. LAMBERT. He is an arrogant A**HAT!!! I would give negative starts if I could. I feel sorry for the other, probably wonderful, people at the same practice. They should raise their standards and ask him to leave the practice. You're dealing with women on a daily basis and you treat them like crap. Shame on you sir! read more

The office staff is beyond rude. They are awful at communicating and following up. I've been calling all day today to try to get results read to me from a missed call during THEIR CLOSED LUNCH HOURS. Whoever called didn't even leave a message. When I called the front desk, she asked me who left me a message, and I said there was no message. She replied with, "Well then how do you know you have test results". Either I'm freaking psychic or a week ago I had labs done. I'm scheduled to deliver January 2020 so hopefully the doctors make up for the awful office staff. read more

Where to begin with this place first visit I waited for over an hour to be seen because they were waiting on a Bilingual MA because they ASSUMED I didn't speak English because of my very Hispanic name, mind you It was my first OB visit I was feeling supper sick. I brushed that off hoping it was a one time thing. next visit I asked the doctor something about a home birth just out of curiosity, she very rudely almost making fun of me said "oh you wont be coming to us then delivering at home" I was a bit annoyed at her attitude, I think the 5th visit did it, I was called to an office in the back to speak to a woman about the price package at my 5th visit It was a bad day already and this woman tells me I owe the clinic $844, and I need to have this by my next visit I was a little stressed I asked her why wasn't I told this before she said you have plenty of time and yes I did I wasn't going to deliver for 5 more months then I said that wasn't the point she said "did you think it was free" now how ignorant did woman think I was. I was more than offended I was embarrassed I never have had a kid before I didn't know how any of this worked any way she then said what does it matter would you have not kept the baby if you knew how much it was and that was the last straw I don't know who she thought she was or why she thought it was okay to speak to anyone in that way. it made me sad to think these people get paid to be soooo callous and that anyone else would have to deal with this or then again maybe it was my very unique name and ethnicity that made them think they could treat me the way they did. I'm sharing my Personal experience hope they treat you better just don't expect it if your Hispanic. read more

I originally reviewed at one star, but my recent experience with Dr. Lambert thoroughly impressed me with his knowledge and caring in the situation. Definitely redeemed this office, but the original experiences still hold true. Really this office should be rated based on provider (Dr. Lambert, Dr. Barrett and the front desk woman Leslie 5 stars, everyone else.....not so much). Original Review: This office might be ok for you if you are fine with long wait times, providers that don't get to know you, front desk staff that screw up often (some not all), poor scheduling, being called to reschedule ultrasounds at the last minute and you have a healthy pregnancy. We were told our baby had a severe birth defect and the wording that was used to describe it was less than accurate and heart breaking. Yes, it was bad news but we were told our baby would die either before or after birth which the doctor at north pointe said the specialist would give us more detail about. Come to find out from the specialist, children with this defect have a 90% survival rate....so I'd say the comment the doctor at North Pointe made was quite inappropriate and ill informed. In addition to this, the doctors/ midwives/ providers never know what your situation is and every visit I have to re-explain to them the diagnosis, plan for birth, and even why I am there for a visit that day.....which they should be keeping track of not me. You might be ok if you have an uncomplicated pregnancy, but I certainly won't be returning to this office. Some of the office staff are nice (Dr. Barrett and a woman at the check out desk) but other than that you might as well being doing your own prenatal care. I have lost trust is this office's competence and knowledge of anything outside of an easy healthy pregnancy. read more

The office staff is true to reports of being rude and told me I was confused, to my face, multiple times before even checking their records and office notes- not something you really want to say to a pregnant woman!!! I had to constantly stay on the office to make sure that they provided me with required ultrasound, tests, and results. I was willing to overlook this until I could see if the doctors were better. Dr. Barrett told me in my first appointment with him, " only a couple more weeks until your life is over, again," despite me and my husband telling him that we are excited for the babies arrival- which I felt was very inappropriate and worrisome. My second appointment with Dr. Lambert was even worse. I tried to address with him concerns that my due date was off as I tested pregnant almost a whole month prior to when they based the anticipated due date. He then told me in the month of July that my, " chart indicated I was due in March 2020." He clearly didn't even look at my chart which should have shown I am due in early September. He then told me he didn't even think that I would have the baby until late October ( over a 10 month pregnancy) ,"that "it" would just get here when "it" gets here," in a very abrasive rude manner. The nurses at this office are not much better either, as they tried to run up the bills by running unnecessary repeat labs for "virus testing"- during every appointment despite me telling them I had already received screening. The nurse practitioner I met with told me that chicken noodle soup was also enough to treat a serious sinus infection- and I had to seek treatment at urgent care to resolve this issue. I have absolutely no confidence in this practice although they came highly recommended and do not feel as if they are willing to listen to their patients. I have serious concerns for my little ones safety and I am switching OBGYN's immediately!!!! read more

I recently went through a miscarriage at the beginning of the month. When I called the on-call doctor when I first started bleeding she told me she really didn't know what to do because I was 12 weeks pregnant and she didn't have an ultrasound in front of her. She told me I could wait to see if the bleeding stopped or for my own peace of mind I could go to the ER. (This was Easter Sunday) I went straight to the ER and after waiting, I went in for tests and they told me that the baby's heart stopped beating. NO WHERE in that time frame did the doctor call me back, or even offer to come down to the ER to see me, as she was in the maternity ward. I called them immediately the next morning, 830 on the nose when they opened and after two hours of not hearing anything, I called them back. They told me they would get back to me ASAP. (meanwhile, I'm bleeding, trying to figure out what I'm going to do) AFTER FIVE HOURS. Someone called me back and told me that because I 'wasn't bleeding too much' they asked if I could come in in a few days. NO WAY. this is my first pregnancy, and now going through a miscarriage. (I ended up finding another fabulous doctors office and when I ended up passing the baby naturally that night when I was in the ER the on-call doctor came down and stayed with me the whole time) Not to mention, the overall atmosphere is horrible. I've waited in the waiting room upwards of an hour before being seen because they were 'looking up my file' and then waited even longer to be seen by the midwife. Take care of your patients, you never know what people are going through. I certainly won't be going back there EVER. read more
