As someone who works in the insurance industry they have told me incorrect things that I know not to be true. Then when I've called to speak to the insurance companies to confirm, they have been just as confused on the information this office has provided. Also, they advertise and welcome new patients but if you are a current patient you often have to be waitlisted for an appointment. Booking 18 months out in order to get in every six months.

So I booked off 2 hours of work each side of skipped lunch hour and drove an hour each way to a consult with Dr. Andrew N. Hokhold in Vernon, here's how it went: We start reveiwing my xrays. After a few minutes he flags down another patient who was walking by and they chat. Then he tells me about this person. A clear HIPPA violation. We get back to me. 5 minutes later he gets a personal call. I sit there for 10 minutes while he talks to this person about helicopters, on speaker, in the exam room with me sitting there. I walked out. I booked off work and drove an hour each way for this wierdo clown. Johnson Dental needs to know the difference between quirky and completely unprofessional. The assistants were comforting and walked me through what they were doing, and it wasn't an overwhelming experience. Dr. Matwychuk explained everything in a professional and uncomplicated manner. The medical office assistants were warm and friendly. I ended up needing quite a bit done but Dr. Powell's prices were fair & reasonable. He is quick & gentle & didn't suggest any extra cosmetic work. When an appointment time is booked the staff does absolutely everything to not keep you waiting. I can't say I enjoy a trip to the dentist but Dr. Powell & his staff try to make it as painless as possible.
