I called early on Memorial Day to see if they accepted walk ins, and they said that while they do…read moretake walk in's, today would be busy, and they recommended making an appointment. It was quick and easy to make an appointment on their website, and it didn't require a security deposit either. I arrived to get my conch piercing at 5:30 pm and I was out by 6 pm. I was a little nervous and had lots of questions about the piercing itself and the after care. I also had not gotten a piercing in years, so I was worried it would be painful. They were kind and allowed my two friends to come to the back with me to hold my hand (I know... I'm a scaredy cat). Mitch walked me through everything that was going to happen- for example, "okay, you're gonna feel a small pinch first and then you'll feel some pressure." He also said that my only job was to keep breathing. He had me take one deep breath in and then exhale out right as he did the piercing, too. As you can tell, the team is very patient and kind here. This is a great spot for anxious girlies or for your first time getting a piercing. Their piercing and jewelry pricing is all fair. My conch piercing costed $45 plus the 14K gold jewelry I chose. Unlike other shops, they had a huge selection of yellow gold and rose gold options that were actually cute- flowers, stars, moons, etc. On average, I saw the stud earrings were about $60-170 each. They also tallied up my total prior to actually getting the piercing, so there weren't any surprises at the end when I paid. They sent me home with a detailed after care guide too. I've already told friends and family about this shop being a great option for them when they come visit Utah.

Unfortunately, that piercer no longer works there and I didn't get pierced by anyone else so I can't comment about the other piercers. Overall pros and cons about this place in general compared to other places I have been to: PROS: Small shop, and each time I had an appointment, I felt like my piercer took their time to do my piercings just right. They are willing to autoclave and install pieces you bring in (sometimes). They seem quite clean, but I have been to places that I thought were even more meticulous (Koi). The atmosphere was very relaxed. Open on Sundays and same-day appointments are usually available. CONS: Expensive. I feel like their jewelry is way overpriced. They charge "per gem" and if we aren't talking about precious stones, that seems like a desperate way to make more money. Also they don't offer any discounts on multiple piercings in a single appointment and other places do (Koi). I don't like their selection of jewelry for new piercings. Their hoops for a new piercing were all dark titanium at the time I had one piercing done. If people can't swap jewelry for at least 6-12 months, it would be nice if they offered some different styles/colors of titanium hoops for new piercings. Small shop. This is a pro I listed above, but it's also a con because if they have more than one customer in the lobby at a time, they seem overwhelmed. The last time I went there to check on downsizing some 4-month piercings, the front desk person (who is usually very nice) was dealing with other clients and was dismissive to me and told me I didn't need to downsize and that my current jewelry looked fine. When I originally got pierced, my piercer used long pieces to accommodate swelling and told me we could downsize when the swelling stopped, but I ended up feeling treated like I was ridiculous for asking for that downsize. To be fair, I didn't make an appointment and I was aware I might have to wait or come back later, but I felt like the customer service in that moment was very poor. So make sure you make an appointment for any service and your experience will surely be better than that.
