It's a God send that they spay and neuter at such a affordable price. I have a farm and tend to get…read morestray cats especially. I took the most recent to get her vaccinations which I was told were included in the exam. $161.00 later and then she had to go back for boosters which was another $82.00, then the spaying was another $150.00. thank goodness I was able to get her into Precious Paws. I didn't ask for the cat, but due to her being dropped off, I had to take care of her. Much more affordable at Precious Paws and also the staff is very nice

I can't tell you much about the animal rescue part, except that it's where we got our super senior…read moredog, but the spay and neuter services, and the veterinary services are top notch. Dr. Waitz is excellent, and has spent quite a bit of time with us each time we've gone in. The spay and neuter services are a godsend to us because we have been the unwilling recipients of three dumped, pregnant cats. Thirteen cats now. All spays - one neuter. Please bear in mind, before you criticize too severely, that every single rescue is overcrowded and probably underfunded. Precious Paws even has cats in their bathroom because they are bursting at the seams with unwanted pets. No wonder Julie is snappish about people going to breeders. I would be, too. These cats are medicated, fed and sheltered on a pathetically small budget, and the unwanted dogs are sheltered by people who are kind enough to take them in. Be kind. And donate. And adopt. And ask what you can do rather than being critical.

After going to this animal hospital for years and dealing mostly with Dr Andrew Brosius and being…read moreperfectly happy with all of the help our dogs received, we had the unfortunate experience of dealing with dr mellissa miller. I advocate for my dogs and the one dog she saw does not do well with taking steroids and has had issues in the past and when I told her that I did not want the steroids for our dog, she was NOT happy that I dared to defy what she wanted our dog to take. Within 10 days the issues with our dog had cleared up and her skin infection was gone. She had a follow appointment but when I called them and explained that we really didn't need it as all the issues with her skin had resolved themselves with the antibiotic and I didn't see the need to drive 45 minutes each way and pay 100 dollars for a reexamination and I was calling to ask about a refill for apoquel, an allergy medication, that had run out and I didn't realize that a refill was already on the bottle. The antibiotics are for 30 days and we are still giving them to our dog and she is doing very well however when I called about this refill, I was told no refill would be done for anything unless I brought our dog in for a follow up visit after the next refill ran out as they would have to do a reexamination. I said for an allergy medication I have to get a reexamination? I didn't have to do that many time in the past with dr brosius so why would I have to now? I was informed that dr miller has different priorities and protocols and I will have to adhere to her protocols. I said well if that's the case then I will not see her anymore and asked to be seen by only dr brosius from this time forward. 5 days later I received a certified letter along with all the medical records for all my dogs that I had been taking there for more than 6 years that said we no longer want your business since you won't do what we want and won't follow our recommendations!!! Dr miller decided that our business and I mean thousands of dollars of visits over that 6 plus years meant nothing on the first visit we ever had with her and refused to allow us back to have our dogs seen anymore and we have 5 dogs! Apparently her priorities are that you waste your money on frivolous visits that she can make money off of and give whatever she deems ok to her to your dog even though you know something isn't good for your pet!!! Our dogs are family and get the best of everything and this rude egotistical dr kicked us out because I'm apparently not allowed to advocate for my dogs and I must waste my time and money when I can see that an issue is fine but I need to pay her 100 dollars to tell me that!!! Many of my other dogs have had to have follow up visits for other issues that need tests run and I never had a problem doing that and I've paid numerous emergency visits bills where they charge you 150 dollars to be seen the same day even though when you walk in, there's no I e in the building and never complained about that! Whatever you do don't allow dr miller to see your pet unless you want her to overcharge and demand you do whatever she wants and not what's best for your pet!
