I was having some issues with my knees after having my first baby. The receptionist staff was very friendly and took about 24 hours to follow up with me for an appointment. There were several people waiting for an appointment when I arrived but the lobby was large enough for us to be physically distant. The staff that checked me in and took my x-rays was wonderful and very friendly. Additionally Dr. Loeb was very kind and explained my options for treatment. I found him to be quite personable. If I ever have issues again I will not hesitate to return to this establishment. read more

So glad I discovered Dr. Loeb! I was warned he wasn't great at the bedside manner and chit-chat part, but was an outstanding surgeon. I will never go back to my former Orthopaedic Doc. Dr. Loeb did a shoulder replacement on me a month ago, and I am quite pleased with his no-nonsense professionalism and honesty. The office staff is sharp and on-task, and I have never had to wait long when I arrive for a scheduled appointment. I don't need to be coddled: I have had two previous repair surgeries on the same shoulder, and wish I had come to Dr. Loeb years go, as it would have saved a lot of time and pain. I have absolutely no negative comments about Dr. Loeb, his P.A., or the office. I feel I wasted my time going to TOC for the last 2 years, where the doctor was aloof and didn't look at my MRI, gave me a shot and some handouts and I left in tears. I've seen Dr Peter Loeb over 30 years. He has always been an excellent doctor & has performed surgeries for me occasionally over these years & most recent Aug 2020. Upon my regular yearly checkup for this total reverse shoulder replacement, I still rate Dr. Peter Loeb a 5. I love his staff as they've been friendly & helpful over these many years. I'd like to add Dr. Loeb is never one to immediately do surgery. When he does decide surgery is the best possible route to go, I trust him. When you've known & seen a doctor for as many years as I've seen Dr.Peter Loeb, you pretty much know the doctor. I feel I can honestly say, as a doctor who has proven himself to me over & over, I know him & trust him. I have no reservation to refer Dr. Peter Loeb to anyone who is in need of an orthopedic doctor. He has 2 others in his practice & this past year I saw his partner who specializes in back problems. I've had two visits to this office for a back injury. Both times were unprofessional experiences with the doctor and NP. The first time, I heard the doctor bad-mouthing a patient in an adjacent room. The second time, I had the pleasure of meeting a smug, clearly inexperienced NP who could care less. The front desk staff and technicians were at least kind. read more

My appointment here was easily the worst doctors appointment in my life. I came in and got the initial paperwork filled out then after making to an exam room the doctor's PA came in. The PA never introduced himself or said hello but only started talking immediately about the injury. He aggravated the bruising quite a bit making the pain level increase. Afterwards he left and got the doctor. The doctor came in, didn't introduce himself and like the PA went immediately to the injury. Dr. Lobe had zero empathy and he didn't seem to care about my actual wellbeing. He focused on his computer the majority of the time then when I explained my situation his response was there's nothing they can do and I basically shouldn't have come. Dr. Lobe was rushed the entire time and seemed like he wanted to get me out of there just so he could go do something else. Bottom line, terrible experience with rude staff and a rude doctor. If you want a doctor that seems to care about your wellbeing, don't come here. I absolutely do not recommend and if I could go back and cancel my visit entirely, I would. read more

I was referred to Dr. Stoetzel by a friend when I needed hip replacement following a history of falls. Going to him was one of the best decisions I have ever made. He and his staff was professional but also friendly and took total interest in me as a new patient. This surgery and recovery went remarkably well. My right hip was as good as new following some rehab. I no longer have any more problems with it. I did not expect that I would be needing him again, but the falls continued so.... The story does not end there. I injured my right shoulder requiring another surgery. Dr. Stoetzel had to shave part of my collarbone and perform extensive repairs to my rotator cuff and biceps muscle. This surgery went as well as the previous one. After having suffered from chronic back pain for years and being told by another surgeon that nothing could be done surgically to releive my pain, I took my MRI to Dr. Stoetzel. After studying it, he told me that he could fuse my L4, L5 and S1. To think it was possible that spinal surgery could offer me some relief, I was ecstatic. The surgery was scheduled for November 6th and on the 8th i went to Encompass Health for rehab. I left rehab on the 19th and am now recuperating well at home. I expect a full recovery from this surgery so that i can live a normal life again. I cannot say enough good things about this Orthopaedic practice. I will never go to anyone other than Dr. Stoetzel for any type of orthopedic surgery. If you are looking for a great surgeon, look no further than North Florida Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic clinic. You and your body will be glad you did! read more

Dr. Loeb was the most arrogant and condescending doctor I have seen. He came in and gave me a feeling that he was rushing even though he proceeded to tell me all of the surgeries I've had we're not right and instead of using the 7 minutes he was with me to talk about my shoulders, he tried to make me feel bad about my surgeries, even though they all got me out of pain. He also doesn't know his anatomy very well because I told him I have a foot implant in a natural opening in the foot and he said there isn't one, so I picked up the bone foot model he had in my room and showed him. He also mocked the surgeons I saw that operated on me even though they were the best in the State of Arizona and California. Some even being center of excellence doctors. He also told me my spine was fine after looking at my X-rays and I just went to a spine surgeon and they told me I have scoliosis and arthritis on my spine. Cocky doctors like him tend to not be good at what they do in my experience. See someone else. read more

Today I made a 9:30 appointment after a hour and a half of waiting they doctor never came in to tell me my MRI results so I gave yet another "doctor " money for absolutely nothing. The front office staff was warm and friendly. The X-ray tech was kind and personable. The young man who walked me to a room and took my medical history and asked questions was patient, professional and understanding. After waiting in room for Dr. Loeb, for about an hour+, I was expecting an experience similar to same of his 3 prior staff members. No such experience. I was asked questions, yet cut off while answering. I was not given courtesy of eye contact. I was repeatedly told that My hand aches and the pains felt since having fallen, were "not so"...what does that even mean? I was even asked "how big were you" when asked about a non-related medical record item. Profressionslism shown? Not so much... I attempted to ask about shooting pains and what I could expect for moving forward- the Dr. said that couldn't be related to my hand/thumb injury. I tried to go over timeline of when pains started, he cut me off twice and said no, not related. He would not let me talk, and was very short in his responses toward me. He said "we'll just get you set up for some therapy and take it from there". I again asked about pain shooting from thumb, and attempted to again describe pain that started to flare in office since maneuvers to get hand in place for X-ray- even tried to show Dr. Loeb my hand was starting to swell - he said no it was not. I was attempting to show comparison to my other (dominant) hand and he cut me off again. I simply said the " Doc you're being short with me and seems like you do not care", I stood up, gathered my things and walked out. Think the good doctor came out behind me? Of course he didn't. The Office staff had no idea of my experience, and was just as kind as when I arrived (2 hours plus earlier). I asked about Office Leadership and for copy of my visit record and I was provided with after a short wait. Dr. Loeb may have been having a busy, hectic day- I don't know. What I do know is this, kindness, willingness to show care to listen and being "present" go a very long way. He made his Practice look very bad today. read more
