This…read morecaused us much trouble as property insurance corporations pull those permits to prove the year the roof was replaced. So I spent considerable amount of time searching for a roofing company that was reliable and yet affordable. I contacted several such companies, regarding a new roof and skylight and McKeithan and Sons were the first to respond. I found the receptionist to be warm and helpful. Although we interviewed 2 other well-respected roofing companies, our experience just flowed very smoothly. The representative, Travis, was very informative, answered all of our questions, and we were impressed with his knowledge and genuine, helpful attitude. We were kept informed of the date and time the roofers would arrive, so their were no surprise knocks on the door! We recieved a contract explaining all the details within days of agreement. The men worked arrived at 7:30, and steadily worked hard until they got the roof completed by 5:30 PM. The workers were very polite and respectful. They cleaned up any and all debris and placed in a portable dumpster. The next day this dumpster was picked up and removed by 9PM. Later in the day,Travis arrived to inspect the roof, the surrounding yard, and found a couple of nails, in an odd place too hard for the roofer's magnets to locate. Such a thorough job. Now, this is what I'm talking about. Why can't we get this kind of service from other company/corporate services? Perhaps because McKeithen and Sons is family owned and is local and has 40 years of experience in serving the Tallahassee citizenry. shop local whenever you can.

Over the last several years I've gotten to know the family that owns this company, have had my…read moredownstairs unit replaced, and have utilized their service contracts. They have set a high bar for themselves in the areas of quality service and integrity, and they have never let me down. This is true for the most recent, yesterday, maintenance visit. It even started with the call for making the appointment. The young lady in the office (and, being old and senile, I don't remember her name) who makes the appointment calls and answers the phone is a real asset. The tone she sets with her cheerful and pleasant attitude sets the tone for the call, and creates exactly the first impression that any business wants their customers to experience. Then, when Keegan shows up to do the service call, he is pleasant, explains everything that he's doing, and then proceeds to do it well. I highly recommend this company for HVAC needs.
